R.I.P Elaina

Karina's face fell slightly, though she guessed it was a good idea. She shrugged. "Alright."

Zerrick knew he still had a few days in the hospital. "Take some cash and get yourself a hotel room, okay? You don't need to stay here." He moved the bed into a sitting position. He was sick of laying down.

Karina shook her head. "I'm staying with you."

Zerrick pulled her closer. "You need some sleep, Babe. You should go get a room."

"I can sleep here," Karina argued, adding a puppy dog face. Pleaaase.

"Fine, but you must give me a kiss first." Zerrick told her grinning.

Karina laughed and leaned down to kiss him.

Zerrick smiled against her lips and tugged her a little closer. "Mm, you should stay here. I like your bedside manner."

Karina rolled her eyes, pulling back. "You're still not stable...not too much of /that/ for you right now." She wondered if this made them more than friends, but wouldn't press the issue.

Zerrick pouted. "Awww, but I need more of it to get better." Did this make them more than friends? He hoped so, because he was really starting to like her..

Karina glanced towards the door, making sure no doctors or nurses were coming, then leaned down again, a hand on his chest. "Maybe just a little more..." She said, kissing him again.

Zerrick pulled her onto his lap and pulled his lips away from hers. "Karina, would you do me the honor of being my girlfriend? Because you are amazing, and I really like you." He hoped he had said everything right.

Karina raised an eyebrow. "You're just doing this to make me happy, aren't you?" She sighed.

"No, I am doing this because I really want you as a girlfriend. Karina, what do I have to do to prove that I just don't want you sexually?" Zerrick inwardly groaned. He was not very good at this, and seemed to only make things worse.

"Take me on a date...when we get back, I mean." Karina smirked slightly, a twinkle in her eye. "We haven't done anything but kiss. Take me somewhere."

"I will take you anywhere you want to go, babe. I promise." Zerrick smiled and kissed her on the forehead.

Karina studied his face a second then smiled. "Then I'm your girlfriend."

Zerrick would have kissed her, but refrained. "Good. Now you should get some sleep."

"Can I sleep right here?" Karina joked, situated on his lap. She got off of him and went to the cushy chair next to the bed, curling up in it to sleep.

"You could if you wanted," Zerrick said, being serious. He scooted over. "Plenty of room."

"I'd get yelled at," Karina said, shaking her head, eyes already closing sleepily.

Zerrick left alone, even though he wished she would change her mind. He soon fell into a quiet sleep, and finally his mind was still.

Karina woke up the next morning and crawled into the bed next to him, kissing his neck. "Wake up, Zerrick," She whispered.

Zerrick woke slowly, noticing she was with him. "Morning, beautiful." He kissed her soft lips and pulled her closer. "How'd you sleep?"

"Okayish...how about you?" Karina smiled when he called her beautiful -- that was a first.
