Damian smiled and took a few good slurps of the peaches, then handed it over to her to eat.
Tucker jolted awake, a nightmare bringing him around. He looked around, his breathing quick and a little labored. He swallowed, taking a deep breath as he tried to slow his heart down and even out his breathing, then went back to watching the door.

Re: Daughter of Darkness
Mirissa was still sleeping, a smile on her lips as one hand rested on her stomach, the other just curled up against her chest with some of the blanket in her fingers. "My hero." Her voice was whispered, covered in the thickness of sleep, but the words were clear as she continued dreaming. "Tucker."
Re: Daughter of Darkness
Tucker winced at the words, running a hand through his hair. He frowned and shook his head. Why did she do this to him? Why was she torturing him like this? He wished she would just let it go and believe him.
Damian shook his head at the jar and looked at her. "Two more sips. You have to take two more if you want me to eat."

She faked swallowing and skillful deposed of the food with the help of her abilities, making sure his mind thought she was doing one thing when she was doing the other

Re: Daughter of Darkness
Damian sighed and took a few more sips from the jar, then set it down, not really wanting to eat any more than that. He looked at the dead gaurds on the forest floor around them and ran a hand through his hair. "We're gonna have to move again. Looks like they've found us." He murmered as his head rested against a tree.

Damian sighed as he watched her and picked up her book and began to read aloud to her.
Tucker stood and went into the kitchen to start making Mirissa another sandwhich.

Damian finished the book, this being the second time he's read it to her, then stood, holding his hand out to her. "We should probably get moving before more of them find us," he murmered.

Damian sighed and took a deep breath as he noticed a small stream running through the small glade. He raised a brow, then looked at her. "Let's follow this, see where it leads to. Don't forget your stuff." He said as he walked slowly, his hand in hers, leading her up the stream.

The plant and book floated behind them, some water rising and lightly sprinkling the plant. She let him led her, looking around in awe. She had never seen the woods before, she had never really left the prison or house...

Re: Daughter of Darkness
Damian walked with her, keeping his eyes open for anything that would harm Artemis. His eyes were getting dark circles under them from exuahstion, but he continued to press forward as the night turned into day, following the little stream.

Artemis staggered along, exhausted herself. She fell several time, her meager clothing mud covered and her legs scrapped and bleeding. She didn't stop though, just let him lead her along

Re: Daughter of Darkness
After a about the fourth time of her falling, Damian stopped and picked her up, carrying her the rest of the way. He saw an abandoned house up ahead and he gave a small sigh of relief. "We'll stop there for a while."

Artemis didn't responded, her eyes drooping closed as her head rested against his chest. Every step he took she startled, her eyes flying open, before she relaxed and started the process all over again

Re: Daughter of Darkness
Damian finally reached the house, stumbling inside and keeping a tight hold on her so he didn't drop her. He looked around, finding a room with a bed and sat her on the bed, covering her with a blanket before sinking to the floor infront of the bed and stared at the door, fighting to keep his eyes open.

Re: Daughter of Darkness
Damian slept hard, though each time she whimpered he'd stir. His hand moved up onto the bed, holding hers as he slept, giving her hand a small squeeze each time she whimpered after that.
