Daughter of Darkness

"I don't want to cry." She managed, her head spinning from everything thing that had happened. "But I can help it!" Sobbing she leaned into him, her head burying itself in his chest as she did. Black spots of exhaustion and stress crowed her vision as she tried to hold them away with no avail. Cursing herself she went limp in his arms as the darkness took over.

Kale kissed her forehead gently as he held her close. "I won't. I promise. Never again," he murmered.

Tucker sighed and picked her up, carrying her inside and to the room she usually slept in and laid her down, collapsing next to her with a groan.

Artemis nodded weakly, quickly passing out in his arms, her grip not lessening, not even for a second

Mirissa...

Kale watched the door as he held her, determined this time to keep anything from happening to seperate them.

Tucker- passed out

Atremis screamed and cried in her sleep, Kales name mixing with the tortured sounds falling from her lips, her mind forgetting he was back and alive.

Kale shook her gently. "Artemis, Artemis. Wake up, honey." He watched her, his expression tortured.

Artemis startled awake and buried her face deeper into the shoulder it was rested in, sobs racking her body "he's dead" she choked "damian, he's dead"

Kale shook his head as he held her. "No, no he's not. He just got scared was all. He's not use to havin powers. He'll come back." He rubbed her back gently, trying to be a comfort.

Mirissa curled up against him in her sleep, fists against his chest as her head found its placle beneath his chin and a small smile formed on her lips.

"but kale doesn't have powers, he's de-" Artemis blinked, glancing up at the familar voice "k,k,kale?"

Kale looked down at her and gave a small smile. "Hey," he said, brushing away her tears with his thumb. "it's ok, just calm down."

Tucker adjusted himself so he could hold her while he slept.

Artemis stared at him, wide eyed "You're, you're alive!" she blubbered, crushing her lips against his. Her dreams and reality blended far too much for her likng

Mirissa curled as close as she could get her dreams peaceful ...

Kale chuckled and kissed her back, holding her close. "Yes, yes I'm alive."

Tucker woke a few hours later, his mind totally fogged over with sleep.

Artemis continued to blubber, her hands skimming his face, taking in the beloved area

Mirissa was still sleeping, her tear streaked face still under his chin, her body curled up against his.

Kale sighed as he watched her for a moment before he kissed her deeply, hoping to silence her blubberings.

Tucker shifted so he could cuddle her closer, if that's possible, and moved the blankets so they were over them both, his eyes drooping closed again, though he didn't fall asleep.

Artemis melted into the kiss, her blubberings seizing almost immediately. She had missed him. A lot. ...in case you hadn't noticed...

As the blankets moved Mirissa opened her eyes slightly and yawned, then froze with confusion as she tried to figure out why she was so .......cuddly like next to Tucker. "Hello." She manges finally, still not moving as she tried to decide wither this was a good thing or not.

Kale's hand wandered beneath her shirt as he kissed her, smiling slightly, happy he had gotten her to stop blubbering.

"Hello," Tucker murmered, his voice thick with sleep as he held her close.

Artemis shivered under his touch, it bringing her to life in more ways then she knew possible. "I love you" she breathed, meaning every syllable

Mirissa decided just to go with it. Since she couldn't decide wither to like it or not she might as well stay there until she did. "Are you feeling okay? Sleep okay?"

"Ya, good. Good," Tucker mumbled. Truth was he was still exauhsted and wanted to sleep some more. But he forced himself to wake up and look at her.

"I love you," Kale murmered back to her, moving her under him, his hands wandering all over her body
