Blackwood Finishing School for Paranormal Creatures and Gifted Humans 2

Derek grinned and his heart did a flip. His mind started to race over plans for Friday and he found himself looking very forward to Friday. He looked down At Blaire and his grin widened. He was thrilled he had met her. He slid a hand under her chin and tipped her head up so she was looking at him. He leaned closer and kissed her.

Rose smiled widely at him. "You're welcome, Ash. I had a pleasant time showing you around." She listened to the rest of what he said and her eyes widened a puny bit in shock. She hadn't expected him to ask her out. She gathered her thoughts and her smile turned into a small grin. "Sure, I'd love to go somewhere with you, sometime."

Ash: I smiled, a little embarassed. "Im glad. I apologize, i realize that was.... incredibly vague, but i dont really have a lot of experience with this sort of thing. When're you free?" i asked.


Blaire: I smiled into the kiss a little, positive my heart had just stopped beating for a moment. I deepened the kiss a little, shifting closer happily. The same euphoric rush from before overcame me, and i found myself thoroughl enjoying the moment.

Rose's grin widened slightly. "You're forgiven, Ash. I'm free anytime really unless it's something to do with my family.... In which case I'd be weaseling my way out of it anyway." She looked up at him, her eyes bright.

Derek grinned beneath the kiss, deepened it, and pulled her closer. His heart skipped about a good three or four beats and he once again started to feel drunk or high. He couldn't help but enjoy the moment and he hoped that there would be a lot more moments like this. The thought surprised him, but he didn't mind.

Blaire: A small happy noise escaped me, which i found mildly surprising. Id never had so much fun doing this before.... i hoped that we'd be spending a lot more time like this in the future. After a moment, i needed air, and pulled back, out of breath.


Ash: I grinned. "All right, awesome. Does Wednesday evening work for you, then?" i asked. I knew a place not far from campus that i often visited where we could go.

When Blaire pulled back, Derek grinned. His breathing was slightly ragged and he couldn't be happier. He looked into her eyes, his eyes bright. He had a lot of fun doing that. He raised one hand and stroked her cheek gently, his heart squeezing happily.

Rose's grin only widened. "Yeah, sounds perfect, Ash. So do I get to know what we're doing or is it a surprise?" She raised an eyebrow and looked at him curiously.

Ash: I thought about it for a minute. "Hmmm.... i think im going to keep it a secret for now. Its a surprise." i said, smiling a bit. It wasnt anything hugely huge, but i still felt like keeping it a mystery.


Blaire: I met his gaze, my happiness reflected in my eyes, smiling back. My heart went funny again as his hand moved to my face, and i leaned into the touch a little. I was completely at peace right now, not dwelling on the past, not plotting for the future. In this moment, i had an easy peace, content to stay here in the present with him.

Rose looked at him and blinked. She tried to keep the smile off of her face, but a small smile formed anyway. "Really? No hints even?" She let her eyes go wide as she looked at him. She was curious and she had a feeling that he was going to keep it a mystery.

Derek's eyes stayed locked on hers. His emotions were slightly strange, things he had never felt before and he tried to figure them out. He continued to stroke her cheek as his emotions raced and he tried to figure out what they were. His smile widened slightly and he had to admit that he was happy in that moment.

Ash: I shook my head. "Nope! Its a secret. You'll find out on Wednesday. I think you might like it though." i said, grinning. No way she could convince me to spill.


Blaire: I finally moved, shifting closer and snuggling against him happily. The wierd foreign emotions were still there, growing, taking over. But they didnt scare me anymore.... I was pretty sure i knew what some of these feelings were and i decided i would not try to push them away.

Rose frowned slightly, but then smiled. She just couldn't be mad at him. "You are unfair. Very, very unfair." Her smiled widened a puny bit as she watched him. She wasn't sure if she minded him not telling her...

Derek's arms wrapped around her happily and he pulled her a little closer. He kissed the top of her head, his smile turning into a grin. A few of the emotions were starting to make sense and he was starting to understand some of them, but not all of them. He watched her, his eyes bright and filled with affection for her.

Ash: I grinned. "Perhaps. But the suspense'll make it better. Trust me." i said. I half wanted to just cave and tell her but i knew it'd be better if i didnt.


Blaire: I wrapped an arm around him, leaning against him happily. I looked up at him, meeting his gaze. I was certain my eyes were betraying some of the wierd warm-fuzzy emotions currently filling me. Unfortunately, people had often been able to tell exactly what i was thinking through my eyes. Id been told they were quite expressive. Sometimes it was useful. Other times... not so much..... But right now, i wasnt afraid to show what i was feeling.

Rose opened and closed her mouth a few times. Her smile widened slightly and she wanted to argue but she couldn't. In a way, he was right and she was just going to have to wait and find out. "Fine. You may be right..." she admitted. Excitement started to bubble inside of her and she had to admit that she was looking forward to going out with him.

Derek could see that she was feeling some of the same things as he was and it made him even happier. The main reason he had come outside was to get fresh air during his free period, he never expected that he would meet Blaire, let alone befriend her and start to fall for her. Fall for her, that thought went through his head and surprised him slightly, but he didn't mind. His smile widened.

Ash: "If i thought i was wrong, i would just cave and tell you." i said, laughing a bit. I was very much looking forward to Wednesday now.... i was glad she wasnt pushing too much to know my plans. I got the feeling she would be able to persuade me if she really wanted to....


Blaire: His smile was contagious, and i felt my own smile turning into a grin. "What?" i asked, curious. It seemed like there had been some sort of thought process there....

Rose laughed softly and grinned. She cocked her head to the side as curiosity filled her mind. "Are you excited about Wednesday, Ash?" She watched him and wondered what his answer would be. She honestly hoped that it would be yes because she didn't want to be the only one looking forward to their date... Date. The word rand through her head and her heart skipped a beat at it.

Derek couldn't help when his grin widened more. He couldn't believe that she could tell if he was thinking or if something was up. She could read him like an open book. He looked down at his note book and started to write. 'A thought just passed through my head.'

Ash: I grinned, nodding. "Totally. Suddenly Wednesday seems way too far away. I can hardly wait." i said, grinning. I hadnt been this excited for what one would consider a social event in a long time. I typically kept to myself.


Blaire: I felt my grin widen a bit. I knew it. "Is it a secret or are you going to elaborate? Something good, i hope." i commented.

Rose grinned and straightened up. She was thrilled that he was also excited. "Good to know I'm not the only one who feels that way." Rose had never really been this excited for anything. In fact, she wasn't the type to really even get excited...

Derek grinned and kissed her forehead before he started writing. 'It's a secret, but it's a really good thought. So no worries.' He showed it to her and that thought kept rolling through his head. His grin widened slightly as he watched her.

Ash: "Good to know you're excited too." i said, laughing. I wanted to try and make this event pretty memorable. I was already adding to my plans, plotting and thinking stuff through. I was certain that when Wednesday came, i would have everything perfect.


Blaire: I nodded a bit. "You know, im probably just going to guess about it now. But at least its something good. If it werent, i think id have to be worried." i said, chuckling. I found that i was really starting to care about him. I didnt usually care about people's thoughts or opinions regarding myself, but i found that i actually did care quite a bit about what he thought of me, was even mildly concerned about it. His opinions affected me. This was a mildly unsettling thought, but i was pretty sure id be able to deal with it. At least, i hoped i could....

Rose grinned and laughed softly. She was already hoping that she didn't do or say anything stupid Wednesday. Even though she was looking forward to their date, she was nervous. In fact, nervous only described one of the jumbled emotions she was feeling about their plans. She had butterflies in her stomach when she thought about it.

Derek watched her and laughed silently. Amusement was bright in his eyes as he brushed a kiss on her forehead. He looked down and started to write. 'Do you really want to know? If you want to know really badly, I suppose I could tell you... Then again, maybe not. Maybe it would be more fun to let you wonder.' He showed it to her, a grin on his lips. He did want to tell her what he had been thinking about, but it was kind of fun seeing her wonder about it.

(D'you wanna just skip ahead to Wednesday? Im not sure what to do to fill the time between now and then....)


Blaire: "If you let me wonder, im going to think something wierd, like you're happy because you've finally escaped a band of leprechaun drug lords who were after you for stealing their sacred sombrero. You're better off to just tell me. Trust me on this one." i said. I was seriously going to wonder some strange crap if i didnt know....

(Uh yeah, that would work.)

Derek chuckled silently and buried his face in her shoulder. A grin spread across his lips and when he pulled back, amusement was bright in his eyes. He looked down at his notebook and started writing. 'I haven't escaped a band of leprechaun drug lords, although the thought is amusing... I was thinking how I'm falling for you... I was surprised that my mind came up with the word falling, but in a good way. I have to admit you're special.' He showed it to her and looked down, a light pink spreading across his cheeks.

Okee! -magical time skip-

Ash: Id spent the last few days paying minimal attention in class and planning for tonight. The sun was safely behind the horizon so my life was no longer in peril if i were to go outside. I quickly finished packing up various food items in a cooler. There were a few non-see through plastic water bottles in there for me full of, well, blood. I swung my guitar case over my shoulder (it currently held my acoustic guitar) and headed for the place id said id meet Rose. It wasnt far from the campus exit and the place we were going wasnt too far off. I was quite excited to be going. It had been too long since id done anything like this.


Blaire: I smiled a bit. "Wow.... i was WAY off with the whole leprechaun drug lords thing... oh well. Honestly..... ive never really felt the way i feel for you for anypone else before..... i think.... i think im falling for you too." i said, having some difficulty putting my emotions into words. This kind if awkwardness was not something i was accustomed to....

Rose was thrilled that it was finally the day for their date. She smiled widely as she finished getting ready and walked out the door. She had no clue what Ash had planned and she was starting to wonder what exactly it was that he had planned. She walked to the place where she was told to meet him and smiled when she saw him. She raised an eyebrow when she saw the stuff. "Hey, Ash."

Derek looked up at her and watched her. When she said that she thinks she's falling for him too, he grinned. No words could describe how happy he was that she felt the same way. He brushed his fingertips against her cheek lightly and brushed his lips against her nose.

Ash: I looked up as Rose approached, smiling. "Hello. Ready to go?" i asked happily. I was glad to be getting out for a bit and being with Rose made it all the more fun.


Blaire: Happiness filled me and i smiled back, a slight blush coming to my cheeks as i felt his lips against my nose. But i didnt object or pull away. I was happy to be close to him.

Rose's smile turned into a small grin. "Of course I'm ready to go." She was looking forward to spending time with him and going out. She watched him and glanced at his guitar case. "So, where are we going?"

Derek moved his lips to hers happily. His heart was racing slightly and he started to feel intoxicated from her kiss. He finally pulled back and grinned at her, his eyes filled with affection.

Ash: I smiled a slightly secretive smile. "Ohhhh, you'll see...." i said. I led the way off campus and down a few streets until we hit some woods. Eventually we came to the place id been looking for. It was a clearing at the edge of a cliff with a really nice view of the sky. It was clear tonight and the moon and stars were very visible. "This is it. Not much, just a place i like to come to think. I love it out here...." i said, smiling a bit.


(Hmm.... im starting to have issues writing for Blaire.... should we have them part ways for a bit and skip ahead a ways with them too...?)

Rose sighed, but smiled. "Aw, you're unfair." Her smile widened as she followed him. She had been thinking about today all week and she was happy to be spending time with him not to mention the curiosity had been eating her up. When they got to the clearing she stopped and her eyes widened slightly. She looked around them and her smile turned into a grin. While most girls would probably find something like this so-so, she found it amazing. It was perfect for stargazing and she was thankful that he had shown the area to her. "Thank you for bringing me here, it's so beautiful." Her grin widened slightly and she looked up at him, her eyes bright.
