As I poured a customer's tea, it spilled over the edge and onto my finger.
Fuck.
I gritted my teeth and poured the rest, handing it over and taking the cash for it. Then I hurried over to the sink and ran it under water, biting my tongue to keep from cursing out loud. That wouldn't gain me any points with the boss.
❚ Danny ❚
I turned down my music for a moment, reaching for the guitar that a customer pointed to. "That's a nice one." I nodded, then turned the music back up. Customer Service wasn't something Kane was none for, so I had no rep to keep.
❚ Mary Grace ❚
Carefully, I laid my lunch out on the little corner table, at the back of the shop.
My peanut butter and jelly, cut into two triangles.
My bottle of juice.
And my apple.
All fit onto a square napkin. No book dust about to get on it, perfectly clean and ready to eat. I took a bite of the sandwich, opening the paperback book I had snagged. I always dawdled a little bit during lunch break.

I sat there, bored outta my mind, twisting my hair into little knots by accident. I was new to this whole job stuff and so far was pretty bored. At least I can earn some cash, I need to get a new skateboard. I watched as the girl...Mary I think, neatly ate her lunch, then looked down at my slob of a meal. Roast beef sandwich almost overflowing with toppings, and a nice bag of Cheetos and orange fingerprints on my shirt. Maybe I should have brought a napkin, though I was never good at being neat.

Re: On the Street Known as "Blue"
Stasia: I walked into Kane and ran to the back, nearly knocking over two customers in the process. Shouting apologies over my shoulder, I stamped my card a whole seven and a half seconds before I would have been late. Putting my card back, I leaned against the wall and took a few deep breaths to slow my heartbeat. Quickly, I went into the back and checked the schedule while pinning on my name tag. I was working cash register this shift. I walked to the counter and sat behind it as I waited for customers to make a purchase.

I ran around, taking coffee orders and doing my best to keep up. Man, these people sure can drink a lot. Personally, I hate coffee but this job was better then nothing.
I often daydreamed of maybe being an artist, I was pretty darn good with a can of spraypaint. Some people say it's graffiti, I call it pure genius.
Then out of nowhere, the high voice of a woman saying " Um, heeeellllo? I asked for a small coffee with milk?" suddenly jerked me out of my thoughts.
Crap. If I got another costumer complaint I'd be fired. I flashed her a quick grin and siad" Yes ma'am coming right up!" and she went back to chattering with her friends. Phew, avoided that one, I gotta be more careful...

Griffin walked into the music store and clocked in before walking to the back room to grab CD's to restock. He sorted through them to make them alphabetical before heading out to the main floor again.
Kat walked past Griffin on her way into work and waved to him as she grabbed her guitar. She sat in teh back of the store, supllying some live music for time being. Griffin turned to face her and smiled as he took a picture of the girl. She stuck her tongue out to him afterwards, but kept playing softly. It wasnt time for her shift yet, so this is usually how she passed the time as she waited.
(i'll posted for logan once i figure out what to do with him)

Re: On the Street Known as "Blue"
Name: Andrew
Age: (Between 16 and 21) 17
Gender: Male
Hair: Dirty-blonde
Eyes: Blue
Skin: Slightly tanned, but not too tan
Body: Thin and very toned
Other: He’s quite tall, and pretty good looking. He’s very charismatic, and people like him for that. But he also has girls very easily fooled, he’s good at being a heart breaker, and he knows just how to do it. He leads girls on so quickly, but if you try to be anything more than friends, you will most likely get hurt in the end. Although, he doesn’t show that side of him from a first glance, nor a second glance. It’s once you really get to know him, almost too well.
General Fashion Sense: His clothes always match, and his shoes usually do too, but that’s as far as his fashion sense goes. He has an obsession with his long hair though.
Where do you work? : Cinnamon cafe
Name: Megan
Age: (Between 16 and 21) 17
Gender: Female
Hair: Dark hair, you can tell that it’s been dyed numerous times, almost to a point where the color is undeterminable
Eyes: Blue
Skin: Not extremely pale, but pretty light
Body: Pretty short, kind of thin, but also has nice curves and features.
Other: She’s one of the guys. She spends more time being with and talking to guys than girls, and she finds life easier that way. She’s quite witty, and has a very distinct voice and personality. She keeps to herself, and has a hard time opening up about her past, but when she does open up to someone, they’re a really special person. Ironically to where she works, she hates to read.
General Fashion Sense: She throws on whatever as long as she feels cute, but she spends ample time on her hair, makeup, and accessories.

I sifted through the new shipment of books, trying to figure out what went where. Who knew arranging books would be so difficult? You had to sort them out by alphabetical order, titles, and genres.
Most of the other people who worked here made it look so easy. I guess I was new to this, so it was understandable to be confused.
I bit my lip, then finally found where I was supposed to set the book I was holding. YES! Then I looked down at the box. "One down about 99 to go," I murmured. This job will take some getting used to.

Re: On the Street Known as "Blue"
Megan- As always, I had earbuds in my ears and I was tuning out the rest of the world. I pulled up to the book store in my white pickup truck five minutes late. The earliest I've been in a while. I dodged the looks I was inevitably going to get from my co-workers and quickly grabbed my name tag from the back. I swipped my card that would prove how early I was this morning. I continued onto my routine, same as every morning. I started by shelving books. Gosh, how I hated books.
Andrew- The cafe where I worked wasn't too far from my house, and like many mornings, my car had broken down. I was forced to walk. I had to leave my house extra early being I liked to take my sweet time. But of course I got to the cafe only seconds before my shift started. I liked to get to work early, but my crappy car rarly allowed that. I swipped my card, showing I had arrived only seconds before being considered late. I grabbed my apron, and got to work. Simply enough to start the day I was just brewing coffee. Thank goodness.

I was just Finishing up my lunch at the Cafe, chuckling to myself at the guys running around, struggling to keep up with the customers' orders. I put away my book, and grabbed my bag. I put the money on the table and walked back to the Cranford books, my lunch break was almost over.
I walked in nodding to the others in there, and punched in with time to spare. I walked over to where one of the girls, Jen I think, was sorting out the new shipment, grabbing a few of them without a word, and went about shelving them. It only took a glance at the cover for me to know where each went, I knew this place like the back of my hand.

Re: On the Street Known as "Blue"
David Parker~ Well break time! I happily ran out and gulped in the fresh air. Awesome. Sometimes it felt amazing to get away from the smell of coffee and bagels.
I walked on over and ran into the music store to hear the soft sound of a guitar, and one of the girls who worked there was playing music in the back, while a wierd dude in pajama pants took pictures.
I listened for a while, then got my rock cd to walk up to a girl with fiery red hair at the cash register. Wow. I thought I was one of the only ones with a funky colored hairdo.
Jennifer Carson
I looked around, studying my new coworkers. One girl, Megan, was tapping her foot to some music and having even more trouble shelving books then I was, and a guy with dark clothes, Caleb I'm sure, was having no trouble at all with his job. He looked so calm and worked with the books so fast, while I was screaming on the inside out of frustration. Can't wait for the day to be over.
