Gh's Brain

Dani smiled to herself once again as she looked around, silence settling on her like an old friend, one she loved to have around. Pulling her dagger she fiddled with it ij her fingers as they walked

Andrew

I laughed and shut the door once every one had come in. "It's not much but it's 'ome, and I welcome ya to it. I'll take you guys around if ya want me too, once day light hits again." Dusk was falling on the streets and the lamplights held a soft glow to it, sounds came from the street below in the fog that settled.

Tommy

Finally we were there, I walked up and knocked on the door. A distracted looking Ezra opened it. "What do you want, Tommy? I'm kinda busy...Dani? Is that you? What are you doing here?" He asked, giving her a puzzled look.

Dani smiled at him, "I dunno." She shrugged as she spoke. "I woke up in Gh's brain so I figured that I should come see you while I was here. See what your house was like compared to mine " she finished with a sly smile.

Ezra

I held open the door for her and grinned, Tommy had already disappeared. "Come on in."

Dani grinned and stepped in, her eyes quickly examining the room she could see from here before looking back to him with a teasing smile. "Darn, nothing to tease you about." She said with almost real disappointment.

Ezra

I grinned back at her, thank goodness she hadn't seen MY bedroom. "Why are you looking? I didn't tease you."

Dani chuckled as she acted as if she was going to give him a kiss but then spun around and started down a hallway without doing so. "No reason, but I have to see your bedroom. I mean you /did/ see mine."

Ezra

Oh great....not this. I sighed and opened up the door to it. It was a baby blue room that held a small book shelf filled with books, a single bed with striped blue covers, a closet, and a lamp with small red and blue cars on it. It was the same lamp my mother had picked out for me. I picked up a couple of clothes off the floor and threw them into the dirty basket. A ragged small teddy bear was hid under my pillow and I turned red at the thought of it.

Dani giggled as she looked around , her eyes sparkling happily. "Looks like I'm not the only one with a room thy doesn't match their personality. " she purred exploring it. "I like the lamp, its cute."

Bishop hopped back into Raylay's arms as Andrew closed the door. "So, if i could be so bold as to ask why darkness is in fact so dangerous around here? Are there monsters or something?...Bark." Bishop asked Andrew.
"Of course darkness is bad Bishop! Vashta Nerada are everywhere!" Raylay said snuggling up to Bishop.

Alyson
After following them and walking into Andrew's apartment, I looked at everyone, figuring out if I knew anyone. Some seemed vaguely familiar...I decided I would talk to Andrew. I skipped along over there. "Hey Andrew!" I said.

Ezra

"Why wgat did you expect?" I stammered.

Andrew
I gapped at the dog, "You..you can talk! How...how is that?!"

Dani shrugged pulling a book off the shelf and flipping through it. "I dunno, but I like this. Its," she paused searching for a good word. "Cute. Yes, that's it. Cute." She smiled and put the book back, thumbing through the titles on the shelf.

Ezra

I turned redder, at least she hadn't seen the teddy bear. My mother had given that to me too. Those two things were really all I had left of her. "Cute? Why cute?"

Bishop turned his head sideways "bark?" and started singling close to Raylay. " of course he cannot talk, now why is it dangerous at night? Besides the fact of that there is no way to obtain dog treats in this strange crazy world." Raylay asked Andrew.

Andrew

I shook my head, that dog had talked I swear. "It's dangerous, that's the reason. The widows, banshees, and the evils come out at night and it's best not to be found wanderin'. And that dog did talk! I swear 'f it!"

Dani pursed her lips in thought as she stepped away from the bookcase and thought for a moment before dropping herself onto the bed to test its bouncyness. Her eyes caught sight of something as she spoke and she gripped the pillow lightly in her fingers. "I summoned why. Cute just seems to fit for me." She told him as she pulled the pillow away, and gasped when she saw the bear. "Aww !"

Ezra

Oh no...she'd found the bear. I felt my face go redder if possible. "It's...not...Dani....ugh." I stammered, letting my bangs fall in my eyes.

Without thinking Dani picked it up and Hughes it then held it up in the air and giggled. "Its just so Awwwe!" She declared hugging it again.

Ezra

"Could...you just...put it down..." I said, embrassed that she had found it. It wasn't like I slept with the thing, but it was all that I had left of my mother. I mostly just stuck it under a pillow, so no one would find it. The whole reason I had kept it was because she has given it to me. It was well worn from when I was younger and it was small, about the size of my hand. It had black eyes and one ear was tattered.

Dani giggled but did as he asked, carefully placing it down on the pillow. "Alrighty. " she said slipping off the bed. "What now?"

Ezra

"I dunno," I mumbled, still embrassed. My cheeks were flaming red and I hid under my raven bangs, wondering what she had thought. I stuffed the bear under the pillow.

"Hey," Dani muttered stepping infront of him and using a hand to wipe the hair away from his eyes. "Don't hide. I have something like that too. You know about the Dolly both little me and I have. It was given to me when I was her age, after my Dad took my mother to the doctor, I didn't understand at the time but that was when she learned she was sick. That bear is nothing to be ashamed of. I bet you have a good reason for it."

Ezra

"The bear and the lamp were things my mother had given me, they're all I have left of her." I said softly, looking down at her.

Then see, " Dani said tucking the hair behind his ear. "You have a very good reason to have them here. Don't be embarrassed. "
