Live, laugh...Hate?

Stephanie: Yeah, sure. I smiled at him, while handing him his notebook, and pen. Where? I mouthed.

Josh: I thought about it for a second while I put the notebook in my backpack. I didn't really care, I just wanted to talk to her some more. I shrugged. "Where do you think would be good?"

Stephanie: I guess my dorm. For some reason they didn't stick me with a roommate. The number's 158. I made the numbers with my hands so he knew what they were.

Josh: I nodded and gave her a smile as I began walking to my next class. "Okay, I'll see you after 9th period." (At the end of the day)

Stephanie: I nodded, gave him a smile and a wave after heading towards Math class. (Do you want to skip to that or what?)

(Yeah skip)

Josh: I walked down the hallway with my hands in my pockets watching for Stephanie's dorm room number. 156...157...158. I stopped and knocked on the door.

Stephanie: I got up from the bed, and opened the door to find Josh standing there. I smiled, Hey I moved to the side so he could come in.

Josh: I smiled. "Hey, what's up?" And stepped inside. Being in girls' rooms always made me a little uncomfortable, unlike Derek who found them to be like his second home.

Stephanie: Truthfully, nothing much. I mouthed before walking towards the computer, and bringing up a word document. I'd like to use that instead of my notepad when I could.

Josh: "Me either, just school." I pulled a face, I didn't like school. It was boring. "Think of anymore songs I need to hear?"

Stephanie: I typed on the document, Hm, now that you mention it, I'd like you to listen to this one. You said you've never listened to Led Zeppelin before, right? I brought up the media player, and selected Kashmir by Led Zeppelin.

Josh: "Sounds sort of...old-fashioned. But in a good way. Do you ever listen to current stuff?"

Stephanie: I brought the word document back up, Yeah, like My Chemical Romance, Lady Gaga, Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins, anything pop, rock, and alternative basically.

Josh: "Lady Gaga? She's crazy, but awesome." I laughed. I glanced around for a second and realized how empty the dorm looked. "It's too bad you don't have a roommate."

Stephanie: Hm...yeah. But I couldn't really have conversations with them though. I shrugged.

Josh: "Why not? You're having conversations with me..."

Stephanie: Well...I don't know. I mean, not real conversations. You're actually talking, I'm just typing words on a computer screen.

Josh: "Be right back!" I ran down the hall and to the left to my dorm, went inside and grabbed my laptop. And then I ran back to Stephanie's room, sat on the floor, and turned it on. Clicking on the student network, I sent her a message. Is this better? And I smiled in real life.

Stephanie: I shook my head in disbelief, laughing quietly at him. I went to the student network, and sent back, Yeah, that makes me feel a little better, thanks.

Josh: No problem. I like typing better than speaking, anyway. Maybe we have that in common. How do you usually talk to your friends? Using a paper and pencil? Doesn't that ever get tedious?

Stephanie: I laughed quietly, Maybe. I only use the notepad when I'm walking around school. Well...I don't have many friends. Just one or two, and I don't really talk to them much, but we usually chat through the computer, or text messaging.

Josh: You only have one or two friends? You're awesome, I'd think everyone liked you. Well that sounded lame, but I wasn't known for being mushy or even giving compliments. Except for with Ashley. I frowned, thinking of my ex.

Stephanie: I knew he was trying to cheer me up a little. You think so, huh? Why's that?

Josh: You know about music, at least more than I do, you have a cool name, and you don't seem to care what other people think. That's awesome in my book.
