Live, laugh...Hate?

Derek: "Really? I'd never even heard of the guy, or his daughter, until today." The nurse walked back in and asked what was wrong. I rubbed the back of my head, not really sure. "uh, she...passed out or something...for some reason."

Ember: "Passed out from stress and panic and shock." I told the nurse. "Im fine really." I stood up and looked at her.

Derek: "Stress and panic and shock...?" I mumbled as I stood up, not knowing what could have caused that. When we were out of ear shot of the nurse I said "Did running from the librarian really cause all that? You have a lot to learn it it did." I smirked.

Ember: "Sure." Whatever, i have probably been through more in a couple weeks at home then he has in his whole life.

Derek: "Sure isn't really an answer, but whatever." Girls were so confusing. They never just said how they really felt, it was always a game.

Ember: I rolled my eyes at him. "Whateve. So where to now?"

Derek: "I dunno, I was in the library before, it was my free period. Now I have...." I thought for a minute then a grin spread across my face, because I had my favorite class next "P.E."

Ember: "Great, same." i sighed. "This outta be interesting."

Derek: "Gym is always interesting, we get to do football almost everyday." I pumped my fist in the air, happy. Football was awesome. She didn't sound to excited about it, though. "Not the athletic type, huh? What do you do then?"

Ember: "I dont mind gym class, but i hate that the guys never let the girls play. Ever."

Derek: I snorted. "We don't let you play? You have to be aggressive, get yourself in the game, girl! I'd pass to girls if I thought they wouldn't run away from the ball." I rolled my eyes.

Ember: "I have never ran away from the ball in my life!" I laughed.

Derek: "That's probably because its never come your way. I bet you five bucks you'd run if I passed it to you."

Ember: "You're on." I was about to get five bucks richer. I grinned at him, and held my hand out to him to shake, "Gonna shake on it?"

Derek: I smirked and shook her hand, squeezing it a second longer than necessary. Girls always obsessed over making any sort of contact with me, I knew from the writing all over desks that said things like 'I <3 Derek' and the scrawled notes that fell in the hallway with conversations about me. Hand contact just might make Ember lose some of her confidence. "Deal."

Ember: I squeezed his hand back with a bit more force. "Deal." I didnt care if he was the heart throb of the school, i wasnt going down.

Derek: I pulled back my hand, it hurting slightly, dang. "I throw pretty hard - just warning you. And I think we're actually playing basketball today."

Ember: "Thanks for the warning. I have pretty good aim." This was going to be fun. "Shall we go?"

Derek: "Gotta grab my gym clothes, only nerds pick a locker and put a lock on it. I'll see you in the gym in ten minutes." I ran off, not waiting for a reply.

Ember: I rolled my eyes at him, and ran to the girls changing room. I ran in and quickly got changed, pulling my hair out of my face and into a high pony-tail.

Derek: After changing I raced some of the guys into the gym, winning like always. Then I warmed up, shooting some baskets.

Ember: I snuck up behind Derek, stealling the basketball from him.

Derek: "Hey-" I chuckled when I saw Ember. "Don't try to make that count, I didn't hand it over willingly." Swiftly, I stole it back then shot a perfect swish. I almost always got swishes, I was just that smooth.

Ember: I laughed lightly, and stoll the ball back from him, holdign it close to me.

Derek: "Aw, you ruined the game." I fake-pouted as I saw her lock the ball to her chest. I could hardly steal it away in that position, for more reasons than one.
