Eric- "Could I hear one?"

Ember: I thought for a moment before i started playing. I sang softly, playing my favorite song so far. What to Do.
"What do you do?
When you dont know,
Yeah, you dont know,
What, what to do..." the last chord rang through the room and i looked up at him to see his oppion.

Eric- I nod. "I like it so far. Really good, maybe someday you'll be famous yourself."

Ember: "I dont want to be famous for music. I dont want to be famous at all." I shrugged.

Eric- "So what do you want to do?"

Ember: "I dont know yet." Huh, i was 17 and i still didnt know what i wanted to do with my life. ISnt that just peachie. "I might want to go into light design of i get control of my powers or journalism.

Eric- "Journalism? Not like the scumming papparazzi I hope."

Ember: "Heck no. PRobably advise columns or something like. Or reporting whats really happening on the streets, not just about the lifes of famous people." I shrugged.

Eric- "Well whatever you decide to do, I know you'll do great at. If you're into reporting though, do you go out and explore a lot?"

Ember: "More then i should. I always scope out cities im thinking about moving into. Like this place has for family owned coffee shops, a couple book stores, a park to just walk in, and two movie theatres down the street along with a musical theatre down town." I shrugged, rembering everything i coud. 'Along with a comunity theatre and a music store right next door to it."

Eric- "Nice, you gotta love the arts. Sounds like you have quite the eye for detail."

Ember: "You have to have the eye for detail when living my life." There was a knock on the door and i got up to answer it. without checking, i opened the door and was welcomed with a hard slap across the face. i fell backwards and looked up wide eyed. My dad loomed over me, his face scowling at me.

Eric- Quite shocked, i run over. "What the hell do you think you're doing?"

Ember: "YOu have no relavince in this matter. I would leave while you can." My dad growled at Eric. He grabbed a hand full of my hair and pulled my to my feet.
"Ow! Dad stop!" I whimpered, trying to push away from him.

Eric- My face grew dark and I felt a fireball coming to the tips of my fingers. "Let her go and leave right now and I won't hurt you."

Ember: My dad spun me around, using me as a human shield. "You dont have that good of aim." he chuckled.

Eric- This guy was making me extremely mad, but he was Ember's dad and I didn't know how she felt about murder. Besides, he was right, I couldn't hurt him without hurting her. I stare at him for a minute, trying to figure out what to do.

Ember: Panic started to over take me. I couldnt go back with my dad, i would rather die. My breathing became uneven and the shadows in the room started to dance wildly along with the flames in the fire place. The flames reached out to me, shadows protecting me from the flames burns and I felt my dad let go of me. I lay on the ground as the shadows and flames went wild in the room. My dad cursed and left quickly. But the elements didnt stop. They were out of control.
"No." I whispered, my hand over my mouth.

Eric- I quickly called water and drenched the room. Then used air to dry everything up. I ran over to her. "Are you okay?"

Ember: I nodded, shakily getting up to my feet. now my apartment was a mess, the press and my father knew where i was, and i lost control...again. This day just keeps getting better and better.

Eric- "You did a great job back there," I say, looking around at the damage.

Ember: "You call this a great job? I could have killed myself, or you. Or even him. I may be a lot of things, but I'm not a murderer." I walked over to my sketch pad which was now ruined. "Great."

Eric- "You protected yourself and that's what really matters."

Ember: "Yeah, and last time i protected myself i killed my mom! I was lucky that i didnt kill you this time." Aparently he didnt know the affect my powers had on me. I slid back to the ground, hiding my head in my knees.

Eric- "But you didn't. Everything is going to be okay."
