Re: Next Generation Avengers (marvel)
Zell waited until he ran off before letting out a frustrated groan. "Why is it that I get stuck with this insufferable team? Dammit Clint. As if I didnt have enough reasons to want to kill you." She walked off to her room and tossed her bow on her bed. She left her room soon after and locked it behind her, tucking the key into her pocket. She wandered down the halls and went back out to the balcony to watch the active city below her. How she wished she could just be another one of those faces in the crowds.

"Er...In the city...?" I ask, taking off my jacket to hang on the peg on the wall. Dad wouldn't be home until later... I peek into the kitchen to see a note from mom that said she was getting groceries. Empty house was amazingly rare, and today of all days was just freaking amazing. "It's uh..." I hastily scribble a lying note back that I had gone to the library for a project, feeling pretty horrible about all the recent lying I was doing to my family. Buuuttt...I hoped they would understand in due time if I ever did tell them I was a magically gifted accident...
"I guess it's okay? We've got the rear of the apartment building, so noises are usually muffled... I dunno, what's Wakanda like...?" If that was legal to even ask. The place still remained a pretty blank spot on the map for the rest of the world. I lead up the stairs, my bedroom right at the top, with the hallway going left and right to my brothers' rooms and my parents', and try not to blush at my dorky 'Speak Friends and Enter' poster. ...Did Africa have Lord of the Rings...? I drop off my backpack on my floor.
Teleport, right... I close my eyes, concentrating on the tower's top deck's image. Magic starts its stuff, and it's just...a weird sensation... Like electrocution crossed with a random shiver plus the feeling of getting doused with ice water... Just...energy. My eyes open - I know they're all blue because my vision is sorta like water colors. Colors are sharp but blend out with things, and living things sort of have a shine to them. Nothing like...Twilight...but just seeing in energy. Freaky as fuck. I change my appearance, since the symbols helped channel everything. In a flash we were on Stark's roof and I cut off the spell to save my strength, just staying wary for Amina since teleporting could sometimes be not good for people not used to it.

Amina
What was Wakanda like...
"Well, it'd different than here," I started, watching him with a bit of curiousness. "It helps that people know me there... I'm not used to the idea of being..." I paused, searching for the right word. "Normal?"
Just then he started to do something, his eyes turning colors. Then everything went weird.
I gasped, stumbling slightly and staring around me in shock. The world was spinning, admittedly, and I found myself falling to one knee, but it definitely wasn't where we had just been standing. It was... the tower?

I attempt to ease her stumbling, frowning in guilt. "Sorry," I mumble, trying to give a little smile. "I know how weird that can be the first time..." Uncomfortably, my hand goes to the back of my neck as she recovers from that.
"...Not sure I can really relate to the normal feelings...?" I attempt different conversation. "I've always been...different..." To phrase it lightly.

Zell turned quickly when she heard other voices on the roof. "Hi guys." her worda came out colder than she meant them to, but she didn't like being startled. "I hope you were careful, Wiccan. Wouldn't want someone seeing you." She stood up and stretched, her back crack and popping in various places.

I'm able to pull myself together rather quickly, pulling myself up and giving him a grateful smile.
"Don't be sorry, it was the quickest way to fix the problem of my little outing. As for the normal thing..." I paused, considering my words. It was obvious enough that I was from Wakanda, it most likely would be obvious on who my father was as well. "Well, I can relate on the being different as well. Growing up was... different in the way that being who I am hasn't allowed for many normal things. Here... though, I can't imagine that people will recognize me... that's where the being normal comes in. If they don't know who I am then I can't imagine I'll be treated any different than other people."
I paused again, giving him a once over.
"... what's it that makes you so different? If you don't mind me asking. Anything besides the magic?"
I couldn't help but be curious. As I finished the question, though, I noticed the fact we weren't alone. Flushing slightly, I shook my head, shooting Wiccan an apologetic look.
"Scratch that, perhaps it'd be best to ask some other time."
I can't imagine questions like that would be appropriate with an audience. Seeing as he hardly knew me I can't imagine it'd be easy as it was.

((First of my two villains~))
Name: Gabrielle Handson aka Cixot
Age: 17
Apprentice to: Toxic Doxie
Original or fanon: Original
Appearance: Gabrielle has auburn hair that falls just past her shoulders when down. She normally pulls it back into a perfect bun, although she'll settle for a messy one if she's lacking time. Her eyes are dark brown and her skin is pretty pale. She's an indoorsy type of girl. She wears conservative blouses and skirts, most of the time.
She normally lets her hair down when she's out being Cixot. Her conservative blouse changes into a form fitting cream tank top to go with form fitting black leggings. She likes to think of this is a sort of distinguish-er between her normal life and her apprenticeship to Toxic Doxie.
Extra powers/weapons
Gabrielle has a genetically enhanced body due to Doxie changing her body on a genetic level and with injecting her with various samples, she is capable of:
Doxie has also begun to teach Gabby the many toxins that she knows of.

- Bones that soften to diffuse impact
Glands that distribute megadoses of "relaxin" allowing her joints to dislocate with ease
enhanced pain threshold
she has a neurotoxin in her blood; the paralytic toxin starts from one's toes and eventually works to one's heart, killing a person in 10 seconds
Capable of creating containment fields (force fields)
Energy Blasts
Ability to sense and track others with a sample belonging to them (not proven but said to do so)
Doxie has also begun to teach Gabby the many toxins that she knows of.

...Well I'd have to mention it sooner or later...right...? Er. The entire school knows because of that 'little event' in the hallway, and you can't even say it to people you've been hanging with for a week already? Who actually seem to sort of like you. Or...some of them. Monica didn't really seem able to help it, so that was okay. I heard about some mutant powers that were difficult like that. And I haven't seen Serpentine at all since the mission... Speed was...uh...yeah... And Zell -
I glance over with Amina to Zell's suddenly apparent presence. "Uhm. Yeah.." I reply hesitantly before getting a little offended maybe, my voice fading away from the issue. I had managed to hide my powers from my parents and two nosey siblings for a year er so... It wasn't like I was going to be teleporting right in grand central station for the attention. Which would be pointless with my train pass.

Zell nodded. "Good. I figure you would be careful, everything in your file would leave me to believe so, I just needed to make sure." she stood up and grabbed her bow. She glanced over at amina. "please be careful. It isn't exactly safe out there and we don't need to go I yet another rescue mission because you got curious."

Amina
I couldn't help the small bit of anger that flared up in me at her words. There she went again, being all high and mighty as she had done on the plane when all of us first met.
"Well excuse me for wanting to see where I'd be staying for awhile," I snapped. "It wasn't like you were jumping at the chance to show me around, Miss I'm-Better-Than. Before you go telling me what to do why don't you get down to our level and consider the fact being holed up in some tower isn't exactly the best way to get to know the place where we're supposed to be based. Say please all you want, but I'll explore again if I feel like it."

Re: Next Generation Avengers (marvel)
Zell turned to face her. "look, I want to be here less than any of you do, but I will be damned if any of you cause this to be harder than it needs to be. If you want to explore the city, fine. But don't be a dumb ass about it. Bring someone with you." her words were cold now, as she meant them to be.
"and yea, I am better than most of you. I've been training and doing missions a whole lot longer. Therefore, I will take charge, I will give orders, and I will tell you if you have screwed up. But know this," she took a step closer.
"if I am forced to be on this team I will make sure to keep everyone safe and to save their asses if I need to. So even if you get yourself into trouble, when I find out, and I will, I will do everything in my power to get your ass back here. So you guys can hate me and call me whatever you want, you can think I don't understand, bu at least know what I will do."

Amina
I clenched my fists at my sides, glaring at her. My mind quickly calculated the odds of me winning this argument. She had age and being the "leader" on her side whereas I had a title and that was about it.
"You don't know that," I growled, glaring at her. "How can you be so sure you have been training longer? What gives you the right to state that you are better than us? How much do you even know about us?! A week is how long we've been together. Screw you if you think that its enough time to get to know someone.
"You say you want to be here less than anyone? How about me? How much do you think I want to stay to listen to your bitching? If I do it will be because of my father's wishes. I'm not going to get into some conversation about how one of us has it worse than the other, but maybe you should stop and look at the bigger picture before spouting off about everything and everyone!"

Zell bit back the words she wished to say next. "I read files. Better yet, I am getting pretty damn good at reading people." she turned and walked away. She hated that she couldn't say why she didn't want to be here. That she was trapped her, against her wishes. That was a secret she wasn't going to let out.
"Maybe you should realize that all some people do is look at the big picture. If I didn't, then I wouldn't give a fuck if you were taken or not. But I do, therefore I care." she walked into the tower and closed the door behind her. Today just wasn't her day.

Re: Next Generation Avengers (marvel)
Name: Samuel Derks aka Splitshot
Age: 16
Apprentice to: Bullseye
Original or fanon: OC
Appearance:
Samuel has dark, dirty-blonde hair and hazel eyes, that are more green than anything else. He's lightly tan and has a few freckles. Stands around 5'6"
Extra powers/weapons:Splitshot doesn't have any superhuman powers, but he does have the innate ability to throw any projectile with deadly surgical accuracy and precision thus he has developed the uncanny ability to use virtually any object as a deadly weapon. He can kill a person with simple objects such as a playing card, paper clips, peanuts and even a loose tooth. Splitshot's aim makes him an expert in the use of conventional projectile weapons (firearms, throwing knives, shurikens, bolos, bow & arrow). In addition, he is at peak physical condition and is highly proficient in armed and unarmed combat.
(yeah, I just copypasta'd Bullseye's abilities. I'm too lazy to rewrite them in my own words. ))

Wait, dont...Why were they arguing...Where was she going...What'd we even do...? I guess I could understand her caution, but we weren't any big names like 'gazillionare's daughter Michelle Stark' to warrant...a kidnapping attempt...? The public didn't even know about any new Avengers team forming yet. Amina was just finished explaining how whoever she was in Wakanda didn't carry over to America, so she was normal. And I was just...a nerdy kid from the West Side... Not like anyone would want me.
It was like Zell wanted the opportunity to argue just to get frustrations out, which I guess I could understand too... At least in theory I could. But she wasn't really acting as leader if she wanted to be leader, like she said. I think that's what she said. She read files, but I didn't think that pieces of paper could give a very good impression of who a person was...if that was how she read people, than she was rather off about it. That's not how you get to know people. That's just a very rough outline of who someone is.
"Wait, we shouldn't -" Ohjeez, Billy, you want to get involved in this too...? I glance back and forth at Amine and Zell storming away, not exactly sure what to do. But it shouldn't end this way. We were a team, if a little rough around the edges, but we should trust each other. And stuff. Like Zell sort of said...? If there was someone on a mission to save me, of course I'd think Zell would be fully capable. But I also think that Amina or anyone else would be able to just as well. I was the one only in this whole gig for a year, I should be the one people trusted less. Knowing me, I could've just as easily teleported to Wakanda just because we were talking about it and it would've been a complete and utter accident. A rather bad and embarrassing one... "Just hold on a second," I state firmly, stepping between the two. I guess I had to play Avengers peace ambassador...

~VILLAINS~
(for later or something...there's a plot forming with this one... *SMIRK*)
Name: Jörmun-gandr
Age: ??? ...rather timeless appearance...
Apprentice to: Loki's son
Original or fanon: fanon...or at least this interpretation
Appearance: Like his father, rather thin, tall, and sort of feminine. Serpent like. Black hair in a widow peak with a larger forehead. Narrow eyes, which are elliptical and iridescent green irises surrounded by black. Pointed nose, thin cheeks, sharp chin. Various ruins are scarred into his skin all over his body. He follows after his father's style of garb - simple, light weight gold armor - with snake scale patterns - beneath black clothes. Very form fitting. As stated, very timeless appearing. In addition to his scars, various places around his body are discolored black-acid green combo scale like patches around where skin is thinner - eyes, hands, feet, forehead, cheeks - and also around his torso. Skin is there, but it's like translucent, and it moves differently compared to to the scales beneath - except at his cheekbones where two black spikes protrude. Black nails.
Extra powers/weapons: Poisons and hallucinogens by bite or saliva. He has a pike, the staff decorated as a snake with the spear point coming from its mouth, also a large curved knife. Thick skin gives him durability. Longevity, because demigod. He can also shape shift to a giant snake.
...But not that big.
Name: Quincy Adams aka Blackout
Age: 16
Apprentice to: Marcus Daniels Blackout
Original or fanon: original
Appearance: Short white-blue hair, usually styled up. Electric blue eyes, and snakebite piercings. Shorter, around 5'5''. She wears a pretty skintight black outfit with yellow detailing, like her predecessor.

Amina
I found myself at a lack of words, or rather, too stunned to reply. How did that even qualify as a reason for thinking she knew us? A week and a file didn't do a damn thing. If anything, it proved even more to me that she knew barely anything about us. A file is a paper copy of how other people see you, who knows if those recording it even know the real you. For me, anyways, there's a huge difference between the person my people knew and the person my friends and family saw.
I opened my mouth to reply to her back and then Wiccan stepped in. I hesitated, glancing between him and her, then shut my mouth. Perhaps it would be best to allow someone calmer to speak a few words.

Zell turned to face him. "What? What could you possibly have to say to me? I'm not going to change my opinion on what I said. I don't care if you think I'm a bitch. I don't care if I piss you off. Either of you. I care about a few things: that you guys don't make my life harder, that you don't blow covers, and that when we are on missions you listen to my orders. I'm sure we can all agree I have more in field mission training than anyone, if you were thinking about arguing or disagreeing with that last point."
She turned her back to them once again to leave. "Now, if you don't mind, I'm going to find some place nice and quiet and people free to think."

And all I can do is just stare at her. She didn't know me at all if she thought I was that judgmental. To call her a name and be pissed off at her just getting rid of frustration...? I just bite my lip, unsure if I should say anything else to attempt to get this situation better or leave her to her own devices. But those clearly weren't working if she was so bottled up. Because that was a feeling I knew, and there were more than a few cases of me snapping at my brothers or parents without thinking anything of it.
My face just read concerned. Maybe I was too impressionable or something. But this was sort of kinda an idol to me, Zell, the kid archer of Hawkeye, when I always dreamed Cap er someone would knock on my door to ask me to join. ...WhichiscompletelychildishIknow. And it sort of turns out that did happen in the long run of things...
My eyes are to the wooden deck, my arms stiffly by my side as I finally stop worrying my lower lip to ask, "Why are you...resisting us...?" Your teammates. Possible friends if you gave us even the slightest chance. So maybe this place wouldn't be so bad as you make it out to be in your current state of mentality...? But I clam up again and can't say anything more, because I'm afraid of whatever non existent repercussions there might be in suggesting some sort of friend-group instead of just a work-group... Like Cap and Stark and Hawkeye and Black Widow and Dr. Banner and Thor had when they started the Avengers up.

The thing about having an absent "Daddy" was that when you got kicked out of class and put in the principals office, well, there was no one to come and pick you up. Then people start asking questions and that's just no good. It didn't take but a moment to figure out what Bullseye would have told me to do, so I didn't hesitate.
The receptionist was sitting at her desk, clicking away at that computer of hers. My fingers slowly straightened out the paperclip in my hands. See, the thing about killing... I never get tired of it. Bullseye and I seemed to be a good match when it came to that. I loved to savor the feeling of prowess that came with it. So I took my time, straightening out the one, then another, and another, until I had five paperclips laid out on my lap. The entire time I was doing this the lady didn't glance up even once.
A slight smile worked its way onto my lips as I stood, watching her eyes flicker up to me.
"What are y-"
The paperclips buried themselves in her throat, cutting off the words and leaving behind some sort of gurgling sound. I cocked my head, watching her as she slumped back in her chair. Small streams of blood began trickling down her throat and into the neckline of her blouse. I would have stayed there to watch, but I realized that perhaps now wouldn't be the best time to revel in the sight. There would be enough time for that later.
Instead, I simply walked out of the office, glancing down the hall to make sure none of the officers were nearby. There weren't that many on duty at the school, I'd definitely seen worse, but it wouldn't do to leave too many bodies behind. The more there were the sooner an alert would sound. The sooner the alert, the more effort on my end it would take to get out on the streets.
Lucky enough, no one seemed to be around. My mood lightened considerably, enough for me to start whistling as I stepped out of the front doors. Right away I spotted Officer Scott standing near the gates. I did a quick calculation in my head, figuring that he, too, would have to go. Taking much less time than I had with the receptionist, I pulled a few more paperclips out of my pocket, straightening them.
"Hey, Sam, what are you doing out here?" Officer Scott asked, spotting me. His eyes were wary, but he didn't often seem to be anything otherwise. "Shouldn't you be in-"
Throat again. I suppose I shouldn't have expected anything less, I was trained by the best, after all. Scott crumpled to the ground, gurgling as she had done. Knowing I didn't have any time to waste I slipped to his side, pulling keys off of his belt and unlocking the gate. Before any of the other security guards decided to come and strike a conversation with Scott, I knew he happened to be one of the more chatty of them, I left, deciding to find a position so I could watch the results of all this. It was always fun to see the reactions on a person's face.
... Bullseye wouldn't be happy that I'd ruined another cover.
A short time later found me on the roof of the building across the street. My arms propped up on the ledge, I watched as people milled around in a panic. They looked almost like ants who had their hill crushed... how... pitiful.

Zell sighed and shook her head. "I don't like people. It's surprising you lot Gabe realized that yet." she turned to face him. "Sorry if you don't like that I resist befriending you guys. It's just not who I am."

I frowned, anger disfusing just like that.
"Then perhaps at least stop with the insults?" I asked, unable to keep the slight contempt from my voice. "If we're here, we're here for a reason. You may not like people but you should at least give us a chance to be competent."

The ol' man was in a rubber prison, stuck. And if I could laugh or smile right then I would've. Silly bastard... But I didn't need him. I had been alone before he found me, I could rock out solo'in after he tried using me. Just shut off that alarm there, Quincy, we can rob that place blind... But I knew. We weren't in the job of cooperation, and I preferred it that I turn on him compared to the other way around. That's just what I was used to. It was every person for themselves growing up, except maybe for a select few you could call a crew.
Like this lil' fucker here. Crazy kid... I liked him. But not in that way, ew. Rooftop viewing to his own murder; watched the whole thing, although he probably didn't know. Just a little power surge to the lights in the office, and a flicker to one of the school's outside lights for the second killing. And then up on the rooftop to watch his work. There was a light above the roof access door of the building, which flickered on with a slight buzz to surge with light before breaking. In the flash of light I come out of the circuit, forming up the ions to stand there, hands on my hips.
"Don't you know schools have cameras these days? Be happy I was around to shut 'em off, otherwise you'd be front page news," I tease Sam, walking over to sit on the building's ledge. "Bullseye wouldn't like that one bit...." I smirk at him, glancing over my shoulder at the school yard.

I jumped, I'll admit it. Having someone suddenly there behind me didn't do much for my nerves. I was in too good of a mood to get angry, though. Instead I just grinned at her, looking away from my little show for a moment.
"You're right about that," I said, nodding my agreement. "He'll have my ass as it is." I paused, cocking my head just a little. "You were there, then? How'd they react to the lady?"
I chuckled, eyes flickering back to the scene. I would have loved to have stuck around to see the principals face, but it would have been a bit more difficult to get out if I had.

"Called a lockdown. Police are taking care of it," I say blandly, glancing back over to him. Really got off on this, hm. Heh. I loved crazies... They knew how to have all the fun, but knew how to get around people. I always wondered about us. What coincidences and series of events led to our tolerance-called-friendship....
