Gabrielle

I raised a brow, forcing myself to relax as I gripped both my bag and the fabric tighter. 
"Why would I have heard? Not exactly in on all the superhero going-ons."

Josie

Josie shrugged and leaned against the wall. "I figured anyone could have heard about it. With how open the Starks are about everything." She picked at her nail and glanced over at the othe girl. "I'm sorry, I don't think I caught your name. I'm Josie."

Gabrielle

I considered for a moment, taking into account how strange the girl, Josie, was. It wasn't exactly that strange of a question, your name, but it was pretty easy to figure things out once given a name, and my business didn't exactly head me to be the most trusting person. 
"I didn't say it, it's June."

Josie
"Nice to meet you, June." she offered a warm smile. "So, hear anything about YA?" she twirled a strand of her hair around her index finger, a bored pastime.

Gabrielle

"...I just said that I'd heard nothing about them," I said, annoyance flickering into my tone. If she wasn't going to move on from that, I had work to be doing.

Josie

"sorry. Didn't mean to upset you." Josie held her hands up and chuckled. "I guess I'll leave you be. You obviously seem to be distracted by something."

Gabrielle

I hesitated, slightly suspicious about the sudden let go. Then again, if it meant getting to the vial, I'd have to take the chance. That thing getting out would mean a whole lot of hell for Doxie, and me if it could ever be traced back. 
"Not upset," I said, taking her words as my invitation to start down the alley. "Just busy. Good day, Josie."

Josie

"I'll let you be." Josie pulled a cigarette out of her jacket pocket. She turned and left the alley, lighting her cigarette as she walked.

Gabrielle

Pleased, I hurried down the alley to the fire escape I'd spotted, scaling the thing in record time and hurrying in the direction the pull of the fabric lead me. At least the man seemed to have settled somewhere.
