Re: The Justice League
Selina
The smile became real then, at least she didn't seem so upset as to say no. Glancing down at what I was wearing I pursed my lips for a moment, considering what to do.
"Alright. Let me change into something more suited for going out, and then we'll be set to go. We won't be able to go somewhere like the movies or something... but there's bound to be something open."
That said I stood, taking my plate and scraping what I hadn't eaten into the trash. After I'd rinsed it I walked into my room in search of something more appropriate for the night life then my pajamas.

"Outfit's never stopped you before!" I call after when she goes off to her room, standing as well to finish the last of my pancake and quickly take care of the dishes. I shake my hands dry of water while going off to the small closet in the entryway, snagging my ankle high boots out and short, brown leather jacket to put over my over my long sleeve shirt. I precariously balance in the rush, tying my boots up tight upon my leggings and fixing my shorts after to look back towards Selina's room.

I chuckled, not bothering to reply as I dug out a shirt, then a skirt that would work for the evening. Quickly locating a pair of heels I slipped them on as well. I just threw my hair over my shoulder, figuring that there wasn't time enough to bother with that and headed out to meet Holly in the hallway, while attempting to figure out where we could go.
"Ready?"

"Ready Freddy," I reply, turning for the door knob to open the door. I go out into the hall, pausing to wait for Selina to lock the apartment before going off to the stairwell to head down and out. Glorious Gotham, just a treasure hunt for me...

((What should we do now? ^^; I'm not quite sure where to take them at this time of night, lol.))
Re: The Justice League

Now, most people would say that taking a girl Holly's age out at this time of night was irresponsible. I wouldn't exactly call it that though, no matter how much I pretend she isn't ready or anything, she can handle herself pretty well. Plus, well, I was here, wasn't I?
"How do you feel about slipping into Vesuvius?" I asked her, not really waiting for an answer as I set course in that direction.
It was never too late to have a good time, don't you think?

The nights at Vesuvius... I already had my fair share, so I just nod and fall in step beside Selena. Maybe there would be some old friends over there, or Boss to kick the crap out of.... That would be nice. Selena wouldn't go for that, though. If Boss was there...he'd either turn tail and run with her around or yell across the room until he was kicked out. No biggie. He wasn't the kind to start something, even if it was in vengeance. He was too much of a coward.

Flashing Holly a smile when she didn't object, I quickly led our way to the club. It didn't take much to get us past the bouncer, just a little bit of flirting and a secret exchange of cash. Once inside I turned to Holly, pitching my voice so she could hear me.
"Would you rather sit with a drink or dance?"
I figured it should be up to her, after all I was dragging her out at this time of day to try and cheer her up a little, so just telling her what to do would defeat the purpose.

I roll my eyes, giving a huffed sigh. "Mooom..." I draw out. Be boring and sit with a virgin drink on the side of everything? No... I smirk, taking the older woman's hand to go skip out to the dance floor with her. Maybe I'd sneak away when she was distracted with something. I learned enough stealth, right?

I laughed, allowing her to lead me out. It didn't take but a moment for me to get into the sway of the song, the melody being one I'd listened to before. I kept a careful eye on Holly for a little while, but it didn't take long to get distracted with all the bodies on the dance floor.
I didn't worry too much though, after all, I'd trained her well. Surely if something happened she'd make enough of a scene for me to be able to help her, if she needed any help anyways.

I giggle, enjoying the times. We didn't exactly have many of these moments, so it was nice. Living on different time schedules killed sometimes...
Lights were pulsing, making moments of darkness accompanied by brightness. Some odd hour in the morning and all of this was still going on; people were weird... I lose sight of Selena a moment in black, people cutting between where we had been, and then someone grabs me, putting a hand over my mouth to whisk me away off the floor in some record time. The second I feel the cloth in his hand, I don't breathe in at all, trying to twist out of his grasp. Because I could totally do that. Except he had too good of a grip on me, and as we got to the back door more people followed to be sure I couldn't easily escape. Body was high on adrenaline, demanding air, so at this point I'd just pass out anyway from not breathing.
Damn it. I could totally do this, not fair. Selena and Wildcat, and some hunky thug is all it takes to destroy everything. I suck in a breath through the cloth, lungs burning, and the last I see is the old boss coming forward, saying my name again and again in a disappointed manner. Motherfucker...now I was never gonna be able to leave that apartment once Selena comes to get me...

Re: The Justice League

After awhile the dancing grew boring, and I was also absolutely sure I hadn't caught sight of Holly for sometime. With some effort I slipped in and out of the mass of bodies, calling her name. It was late and I was honestly starting to think my bed would be a nice place to be right now.
"Holly?"
The club is loud... it could just be she can't hear me. There's an awful lot of people here...
"Holly?"
I slipped off of the floor again and stared at the crowd, bells going off in my head. Surely by now she would have met up with me to say something, just so I knew she was here. Maybe she was just distracted though... it was a club.
Shaking my head I sat down at a table, waiting to see if I could catch sight of her from there. Time passed and the crowd thinned, but there was no sign of Holly.
Shit.
"Holly?!"
The back door, bad things tend to stay out of easy view. Without any more hesitation I slipped out, looking around and cursing when I didn't see sight of her. This was not turning into a good night.

Re: The Justice League
Holly
This was fun and all. I was in some back room, which was dark and smelled like cigar smoke. Up in the corner of the room was the tell tale blinking red light of a camera on me. Not that I could do much... I was tied to a chair. Great.
So any minute now, Stan was gonna come in here and give me his 'wise words of advice' of not running away again, and this was the only place I belonged, and no one liked me, and my cat friend wouldn't find me ever again, and blahblahblah... Get to the beatings already and get it over with.
Or it would be Selina, and she'd go along ranting about how we were never going out, and I should be a sheltered child to go into nunnery or something to avoid trouble, and I was just going to be a housewife the rest of my teen years, and blahblahblah... Not like this was my fault. I didn't ask to be kidnapped. Because it would just be sooo much fun to pull over on her, and I totally needed this trouble in my life. Yeah...
"GOD... IT'S NOT NICE TO KEEP A WOMAN WAITING, Y'KNOW?" I yell at the camera for...I dunno...dramatics or something. Might as well make it entertaining while it lasted.

Re: The Justice League

Not long later I found myself at a dead end. If I'd seen them slip out this would have been tons easier. But as far as I could tell no one had caught sight of them when they left. I decided to head back to the apartment and change into something more suitable for work, the cat suit, of course.
After that I ran the rooftops or stuck to the shadows, attempting to catch sight of something. I figured I'd easily be able to search for a few more hours before getting too tired, late nights were my forte after all.
Now I just needed to get some clue of where Holly had gone.
((Sorry for the lame post, I couldn't think much of what to put.)

Re: The Justice League
Bats
I watch her, sitting up in the shadowed gothic architecture, mask's lens zoomed in to see her movements. What was she after now? The Cat couldn't settle for one house? Though this wasn't the rich area of town, and her body language read differently than the woman I had encountered before. She was searching, but not for something to take.
For all the bad she had done, something was wrong. It wasn't an act; she couldn't know I was following. I jump off from the belfry, pulling out the grappling gun to slow the decent down the building to the church's rooftop, going along rooftops. With her direction, we should meet...
I jump down, cape billowing out as a parachute. ...Right here. Looking down the alleyway, I wait for her arrival.

I'd just rounded another corner, sticking to the shadows as I had been all night, when I spotted him. Cursing my luck I froze, giving the bat the best glare I could muster. I have to admit, it most likely wasn't much, exhaustion was starting to settle in among other things.
"What do you want?"
No time for playful banner. Not when she was in stake.

"Wondering what's wrong," I reply, standing there with my arms lax at my sides, the cape closed around me, a cool look on my face, my voice 'that smokey growl' as Alfred describes. ...Couldn't seem very welcoming. "You're not the type to strike twice in one night. You don't take risks like that. And you're not who you were last encounter." She was more human... Less like the usual rogues; she had a normal side.

I bristled, attempting to glance around without him noticing.
"Why does it matter," I asked, snorting. "Still the cat, still got a job. You going to do something or just stand there talking?"
As I spoke I went over the situation in my head. Escaping him once? Quite a bit of luck. Escaping him twice in one night?
A miracle.
One that I'd need if I was going to find Holly.

"It matters because you're clearly bothered," I say bluntly, my eyes narrowing. "What is the situation then? I will help those who need it, but I can only help you if you allow me to. ...If you trust me." Slowly, I show her my hands from beneath my cape, palms up laxly. She was on the wrong side of things, already on the bad side of things. Situations could only get worse from there, and clearly they had to make her this way.

Re: The Justice League

I hesitated, I'll admit that it was hard to even consider it. Earlier this evening I'd done the best I could to make sure I wouldn't see him until my next job, ditching any trackers and getting rid of those cuffs.
But now, the circumstances were indeed different. It wasn't exactly my life on the line. I'm sure that for once my feelings were clear on my face, it was taking too much effort to even consider the option, let alone keep up the failing facade of nothing being wrong.
"There's this... girl," I said slowly. "She stays with me. A kid really."

I don't say anything to interrupt, just watch her movements as she talks, giving a slight nod. I needed all of the information she had of this kid...

"She's nice, came from a hard place," I continued, forcing myself not to be quiet like I wanted.
This was more important than just me.
"We went out tonight for some fun, to a club, Vesuvius to be exact. We were dancing for awhile, then the next thing I knew... she was gone. No where to be found. She has enemies, I have enemies... she needs found. Quickly."
As I finished I knew I hadn't provided enough information, but I hoped he would be okay with what I had. I didn't want to give away too much, who knew what could later be used against us.

Re: The Justice League

I pause a moment more, drawing conclusions. "I'm assuming you didn't go as this, and your day life is more normal; if she was taken, then it has no connection to you. Who are her enemies? They would most likely be minor felons, since Vesuvius isn't known for attracting larger crime bosses. Human trafficers, mid rank drug dealers at most...or pimps usually." Time had allowed me to further explore the reported sightings of the Cat by police or building cameras, and she indeed wasn't completely bad. She had her habits of stealing, of course, but other sightings had her as a saint to street walkers. Abuse in the redlight district was not tolerated, most likely an act of justice in her mind - due to her past, most likely...

I hesitated for a moment, then nodded with a small sigh.
"Yes, she would be. She was... well, a prostitute. Had some trouble with a guy named Stan. She's out of that now, but it wouldn't surprise me if he had something against her still."
