Re: Oh there's no place like London...
Nellie
Closing my eyes, I wondered what it would feel like to let go. To drift. The pain was blinding, and I could still feel the fire licking at my arms and legs. And besides, what was there to live for? Then I remember Esther. There was no way she could survive on her own...well, perhaps, but she was too polite to make it on the streets.

Grandma: Once again, right on time. I grumble and start to stand up, gripping the sides of my caravan to get out. I knew I shouldn't have sent Noah off.
"Where is she?" I ask.

Okay...(Yeah, gotta mix things up every now and then XD I've been so spacey today that I thought it suited me)
Dustin: he mimicked her and placed his hands on his hips. "Hey, it's cake from a rich guy party. They're all more interested in dancing and boring conversations than poisoning a little streetrat."

Violet: "Probably, but you never know. Maybe I snuck into that party just to feed you poison cakes? Maybe I'm not really a noble. That would explain why I was out here wouldn't it?" She gestured at the streets.

Dustin: he smirked, and then struck what he thought was a girly pose. "Now my skirts are all dirty and mother and father will know I was out!" He batted his eyelashes, and then returned to himself. He cocked an eyebrow. "Not really a noble, huh?"

Violet: She narrowed her eyes and pulled something out of the concealed pocket in her skirt. The tailor had secretly sewn that in just for Violet. "Be nice, or I won't give you these!" She held up a few little cakes she had grabbed before escaping the mansion. They were so covered in fondant that they hadn't gone bad. And a streetrat wouldn't mind if they were stale, right?

Dustin: he studied the cakes, and then a boyish smile grew on his face. "Who said anything about being nice?" He snatched the cakes and hit the ground running through the streets, dodging people and carts in his way.

Violet: "Hey, you cheated!" Violet called after him and ran as fast as her skirts would allow. Oh boy, a sight she was. Her parents would be getting more than a couple complaints, that was for sure.

Grandma: I grumble and start walking over as best as I can. When I see the girl, I prod her with a stick. "I hope you aren't dead yet. That would mean I got out of my home for nothing."

Re: Oh there's no place like London...
Dustin: he snickered and ducked into an alleyway, but ran into something. He heard the sound of snapping wood, and apples rolled like marbles across the ground....oh, boy. He slowly looked up and saw a rather large woman glaring down at him, holding a broken basket that used to be filled with fruit. Dustin forced a smile. He knew that lady, and she wasn't too fond of him. "Uh...I'll pay for that?" he backed away as the woman's face turned a little red, and then he ran out into the street again, grabbing the cake lady's arm when they crossed paths. "Run for your life! She'll eat you alive!" He yelled, dragging the girl behind him. The apple lady was shouting things and looked like she was about to charge.

Nellie
I open an eye again, the stick touching my burn sending a new wave of pain through me "Hey, you're Noah's grandmother, right?"

Grandma: Hm? Must be one of Noah's friends. I bend down and start looking her over, touching her burns with my hands. They're pretty bad, but if Pietre had gotten burns like these...I stand back up, my skirts swishing around. "Canary," I say over my shoulder. "Go get the little wooden box from my home."

Grandma: "Yes, yes, thank you." I open the box and start taking out things, mixing this and that together before lifting up the girl's face. "This will be disgusting, but you will feel nothing for the next hour or so. No emotions, no pain, nothing." I tip the glass the the burnt girl's lips and make sure she drinks.

I wanted to throw up the second the vial touched my lips, but I managed to choke it all down. Then...nothing. Literally. Nothing. I had never felt anything like it before...I probably would have freaked out if I could. "Thank you" I murmur, but I couldn't feel actual gratitude

Canary: "Not even emotions?" She asked, a bit concerned. "Is that even possible?"

"Apparently" I nod, standing up. Then I fell "Oh, my leg is broken, by the way"

Violet looked back over her shoulder and saw a scary-looking lady. She willingly let the boy drag her along until they were safe in an alleyway."What was that about?
