He paused. "And then what? We get flooded with guards?"

"Or we run for it, hope we can dodge 'em, find the others and get out. Simple, but that plan has saved my life quite a few times, actually. Or we get caught and end up back where we started, or we just sit 'ere an' feel sorry for ourselves." Cricket cocked an eyebrow.

"Says the always look on the bright side," Jess says with a laugh. "Come on Mike!"
Sarah nods. "It might work. The halls don't have that gas in them so we'll gain our full powers back in a few minutes, maybe less. We'll just need to avoid them till then."

"See? Come on, Mike!" Cricket echoed with a grin.

He rubs the back of his head unsure. "Fine..." He stands and goes for the door, punches the door and leaves a dent. He chuckles. "Well, that answers that question." He gives the door a shove and it's flung off its hinges, taking the guard behind it with him.

Sparrow: I flinched. "You're a little late lady. Whatshisface already played that card. Seriously chick, get with the program."

Angel: "Sparrow shut up," I told her for her own good. This girl was so stupid, she's gonna get herself killed! "What do you want?" I asked Wisp, directing attention away from Sparrow.

Cricket whistled, then stood up with a grin. Dang it...he was still dizzy. He steadied himself. "C'mon, no time t' lose," he said, and walked swiftly out the door.

Wisp adjusted her gun and looked to Angel. She fired again for good measure, mere inches from her head. "Secrets," she whispered with a smile. "We're very interested in you. As you see, there haven't been any natural cases of people like us. We've been watching you for a while now."

Angel: Could she be more pyschopathic? "Fantastic," I muttered.

Sparrow: I flinched again then poped my ears. "Shit lady I'm gonna go deaf if you keep shooting that thing." I shifted my jaw back and forth, trying to readjust my equlibrium. "And could you be any more vague? Really."

Mike went back and helped Sarah up.
"I'm really fine, you know," she mumbled.
Mike chuckled. "Sorry..."
"No time, no time, let's go!" Emily went out and looked down both ways of the corridor. "....Which way...?"


Ami paused and pursed her lips. "My power was made to react negatively towards serious pain...It might be enough to get over this gas but it's hard for me to control in that state..."
"Ami, we aren't torturing you," Marnie said.
Kim looked uncertain. "But it's the best bet we've got. I mean, you could get me mad but then i might burn you all to ashes..."

"I'd be quiet, girl. Your life is expendable. You hold no value to us." She looked back at Angel. "You can tell us what you know, and perhaps she lives, or you can undergo some...studies, and she'll end up dead."

Finn: "Well, what else can we do? We could always at least try."

"This way," Cricket said, and headed to the left.

Sparrow: I rolled my eyes. "Are you fucking bipolar? Do you need me here or not? Make up your minds cause I got better things to do than be shot at,"

Angel: My brow line furled. "What I know? What I know about what? You're very nondescript." What did she really want to know? Or maybe she really had nothing and was just groping for blank answers.

"Right," Kim said sarcastically, throwing her hands in the air. "So whose up for torturing Ami?"


"We're guessing directions here, aren't we...?" Emily said, following him.
"Better than nothing!" Jess followed, then Sarah and Mike.
"There they are! Fire!"
Emily grabbed Cricket's arm quickly as they passed a joining hallway. The tranquilizers were stopped with a wall of ice. "Powers back!"

Wisp looked back at Sparrow smiling. "Not a bad thought." She shot again through her shoulder. A clean wound - no bone, no arteries, just pain. "Your power, boy. Don't play dumb."

Cricket whistled. "Better. And don't doubt me, if I were guessing I would 'ave gone right." The men charged to the ice and started trying to break through. "You guys take care of them if you want, I'll scout out ahead," he said, and swiftly dissapeared through another hallway.

Finn: "Not me. You sure you 'ave to feel pain, or can we just make you mad?"

Sparrow: I screamed through my teeth as I grit them together. Why me? ALWAYS FUCKING ME. Cause breaking my ribs wasnt enough right? Christ, I was so sick of this shit. Of course the human is the one that gets hurt. I don't see anyone shooting the damn supers!

Angel: "Whoa hey!" Sparrow looked doubled over in pain. "Reality warping." I stated coldly, still watching Sparrow.

Ami shook her head. "Pain. Pure and simple....And i know Kim and Marnie won't ever be willing to do it..."

"Jeez, you think they'd learn..." Emily turned the ice to water and flooded the hall, pushing the soldiers back and making a thicker ice wall.
There were yells from the direction they had come. "Oh, darn..." Jess conjured up a trunk in the hallway. She blinked. "Awesome!"
Sarah took a breath. "Don't bother. Mo and Develyn are closest. Take this next left."

he-he...your quite right, being evil does feel good.
"And? What do you know about it?" Wisp said, her smile growing at her scream.

Cricket reappeared from the left hallway. "It's clear! C'mon, c'mon!"

I know right?! She's always the one getting hurt! lol

Angel: Are you stupid? "What do you mean 'what do I know about it'? I know what it does and I know how to use it. What else is there to know?

I followed the others, and stopped for a moment. There. I nudged Cricket. "listen..." the familiar sound of whistling was floating ahead. I recognized it as the same pattern Cricket had used before. "Finn."

"Fifth door on the right!" Sarah shouted to him. The group went past as more guards came from the right. She paused as they raised their guns, casting them into an illusion. "You're all having heart attacks" And the soldiers doubled over in pain. She turned and followed them.

Wisp paused. She thought about firing, but that would be unnecessary. He was crumbling. "How might you have gotten it? Do you know any others besides those in this building? Weaknesses? Strengths? Limitations? How does it work? There's a lot you would know about it, boy."
