CHARACTER CHAT!!!!

Cricket's smile faded. "Privacy, manners, etiquette...why would someone like me care about those?" he muttered, and glanced at the falling snow.

I pause and study him. "Everyone's allowed their secrets, even you."

"Aye." Cricket sighed. "Too many secrets I've got. Such a chore."

I pause. Mo slips out of my arms and flies away, into the falling snow. i shake my head at him. "Homesick?"

Cricket thought that over for a moment. "Aye," he concluded, "but God knows where home is."

"It's where you feel happiest, according to Mo." He comes back down from the sky. Two yellow dots among many white ones. He hangs from my shoulder and eyes Cricket.
He pauses to look up to the clouded sky.
"Right. Anytime."

Cricket smirked. "Well if you find a place..." his voice trailed off. A place like what? A place with music and familiar faces and stories to tell. Like Luna. Was he happy there?...hard to tell. "If you find a place to run to that won't chase me back out again, I'll be happy t' oblige."

I shrug. "Some people are happy wandering too." I look over to Mo. "i haven't decided yet."

"Well, you 'aven't exactly tasted normal home life, either. Not that I would know." Cricket smiled a bit to himself. "Me, I think I'd like to experiment someday. Settle down, grow up." He blinked at that statement. Wait...settle down? Then again, that was the first time he'd really thought about any sort of future. He'd always expected to die young.

"With the Annaleah girl Finn talked about?" I ask quietly. I blink. "N-Never mind...Getting into private things. You don't have to answer."

"Annaleah," Cricket repeated, almost to himself. "Craziest lass you will ever meet, I assure you. Somehow, she's complete that way." He paused. "Y' know, if we slipped by the slim chance that we don't lead each other to our deaths first, I just might."

I smile. "So you're happy with her. Call that home." I turn and start for Angel's house again. "You're going to catch a cold, you know."

Cricket suddenly realised that he was shivering. "Oops," he said, and stood up to follow. He couldn't feel his fingers.

I laugh, my breath turning into a cloud of vapor. "Come on then..." Mo follows me quickly.

Develyn cooed when she heard the door open. Finn opened an eye to see Ami walk in with Mo, followed by a shivering Cricket. His lips were slightly blue. Finn chuckled, but saved his breath. No use questioning him. " 'ello, Crick," he said, and closed his eyes again, twisting his fingers through Develyn's feathers. Cricket slid down beside him. "G'night."

I watched them all silently as i sat in the corner. Mo flew around and settled in my arms, his yellow orbs closing in sleep. I didn't sleep much though. Thoughts of Ayakashi kept coming back. The lines between me and her were thinning. I could feel her very close, a small nag in the back of my mind.

Finn silently wondered if he was any better off than back home. A make-shift bed, a few scraps of food, thin walls between them and the dangers outside. Sounded...familiar. Except, of course they had a few more friends alongside them. The more the merrier. He felt like he was trapped in some dream, an altered reality that was only a shadow of the familiar. But he'd always wanted to travel. See? The bright side. He felt himself start to fade off.

morning time

Milo: The sun filtered in through the windows and I slowly came to. Aches and pains appeared as I got to my feet, and I rubbed the back of my neck. Ouch. I supposed we would all be in bad shape when we woke up. Fighting for my survival, followed by sleeping on the floor wouldn't make the top ten best days of my life. I walked stiffly over to Angels fridge. Ketchup, diet soda, and a container of way over due take-out stared back at me. Lovely. I wondered if there was a grocery store near by. I decided to go look, pulled on my coat, and closed the door quietly behind me.

Sparrow: Something clicked and my eyes fluttered open. Morning already? Shit. That sucks. I sat up and looked around. Everyone was out. I rubbed my torso "Owie.." I grummbled as I stood up, acheing muscles alerting me of their presence. I looked around, where was Milo?

Milo: I walked down the street, it was early enough that no one was out. I didn't blame them. The sidewalk and road was covered in snow and my breath came out in white clouds before me. I wondered who would get my note that I taped to the fridge.

Sparrow: I walked into the kitchen groggily, pulling a post-it off the fridge. I looked out the window at Milo's sillhouette as I read his note.
Morning,
Gone in search of food. Be back soon. Or not. Whatever I shook my head, half smiling. Stupid boy didn't know where he was going. I threw on my hoodie and pulled jean on over my shorts and ran out after him. I tossed a snowball at his head. "Yo punk!"

Milo: I didn't duck in time.The snowball had hit me directly on the back of my head and my hair syphoned it into little driblets that splattered against my neck. The slush dripped down past my hood and wet my t-shirt. I turned around, and saw Sparrow jogging towards me zippering up her pants. Attractive. I knelt down and made my own snowball. When she reached me I non-chalantley wrapped my arm around her, dropping the ice down her front. Sweet revenge.

Sparrow: "AAHH!" I yelped and jumped up and down, shaking out my shirt. I hit him in the chest. "Jackass, that was so cheap!" I laughed still trying desperately to get all the snow to leave.

Milo: "Don't dish out what you can't take." I smile. "Coming with?" I didn't really know where I was going.
