Ooh, fun. I'm feeling evil as well...maybe I'll make Cricket suffer through a nightmare about his fears of the past and the future. Only to wake up to find Ami on the verge of becoming her evil twin inside herself, of course.

It's a dream, i yell at myself. Wake the hell up, right now...now...please...

I sit in my cell, the last in the long row of other experiments. It's cold tonight, even in the desert the temperature drops at night. I'm already shivering as i try and sleep. The loud skree of metal on metal makes me jump, though i know what's coming. The sound of footsteps echo down the hall, the experiments silencing as they pass.
The director stops and stands in front of my cell, looking down at me disappointed and frowning as usual. Wisp stands in the background. I could have sworn i heard another set of steps before as well, though the other doesn't show. "What was that, today?"
Fear rises up in me, but i stay as still as possible. I don't look away from his gaze, but i don't answer him. His jaw tightens as his anger grows, his look becoming a deadly stare.
"Answer, Ayakashi," he orders in a low, deadly voice. I finally look away, but my mouth still remains shut. I catch him gesture to someone and suddenly i'm doused in ice water. I gasp and sputter, look up and see Red Wing. The Director leans into the bars, a sneer on his face. "Don't try it again, Ayakashi. We won't hesitate to kill you next time." He turns and walks out, though Wisp and Red Wing stay behind. I simply sit, drenched and freezing, refusing to meet either of their gazes as i shiver more violently. But it isn't the worse they've done to me. They won't kill their little weapon. The multibillion dollar science project that doesn't want to do what it was made for. They won't kill me until they've made another. So far i've been lucky, used in the loosest meaning of the word.

Sorry it took so long!

He woke to the sound of crickets chirping down below. And there was the moon, same as she had always been, eluminating the waters. He crept down spiraling, stairs and into the dark maze of halls, through the shattered light of a hundred forgotten windows as he had a million times before. Yet somehow, things were not the same. The dusty pews were cast with the same old shadow from the organ in the back wall, there was a lonely cross looming over it all.

Somehow…it wasn’t the same.

He heard something skittering, a flash of red hair. Someone was there, walking down a lonely hallway through the dark. He followed her, but she dissapeared…all but her voice. A carefree laugh echoed, and he followed it for what seemed like hours…until he was close enough to touch her hand. She stopped and looked slowly over her shoulder, the flash of green eyes, then a smile. She gently tugged him by the hand and led him on.

Smoke began to fill the air, burning his eyes. That ashy smell…something about that smell was bad, horrible, but he couldn’t remember why. He had to get out of there, but couldn’t seem to run. He tried to say something to the girl, but she didn’t seem to hear. There were metal doors, row apon row, and they finally stopped at one. The girl opened it, holding her smile, but all he could see inside was smoke. She cocked her head innocently. “You look just like him, you know,” she said.

Suddenly, all he knew was that he had to go inside. The girl and the door dissapeared, and out of the smoke there was a silhouette…that face. It was like looking into a mirror. He ran to him, eyes stinging, and something on his neck burned. But as soon as they were close enough to touch, he noticed something new…a rope around the man’s neck. He heard the snap. Crick.

“Crick!”

Cricket’s eyes snapped open and he hit the boy away as if he’d been burned. But then he recognised him. Finn. “Don’t call me Crick,” he said heavily, and realised that he was in a cold sweat, and his hand was pressed against the scar on his neck.

My body tenses at the memories, my heart races. Still my mind holds me to see these memories. I whimper, gasp for air. Nothing i do pulls me out of them.
To my side of things, shall we? I don't know where the voice comes from. Another memory....

In my dream it's suddenly dark. Pitch black, i can't see...my eyes are closed. I open them and all i see is light. Bright, white, stabbing. I quickly shut them again. I'm floating, somehow. It's not under my control. Something is over my mouth and nose. My hands float up and take it off, but i can't breathe. The air in my lungs float up in bubbles as the foul tasting bile fills its place. There's a loud sound, the bile goes away and i cough up what remains. I look around when i sit up, shakily stand. A man smiles at me, the man who would soon always frown down upon me.
"Ayakashi," he greets.
I pause and study him before a wicked smile comes on my face. I press up against the glass, staring at him, laughing to myself. The sound echos in my head. i feel mad from it. "D...Dir-ec..t...tor...."
His smile grows. "Would you do me a small favor and kill this traitor?" He gestures to a young man and my eyes flit to him. His fear fuels me as he struggles against the men that hold him. I tilt my head at him, and all i see is red...
