Finn smirked and gestured to himself and Cricket. "Living proof o' that," he said. "Although I find it funny, how dialect works. You guys think we talk different, but half th' time I can't understand a word o' what you're saying. It jus' sounds funny."

I smile. "Me too, i suppose. Some of the terms they use..." I shake my head.

"Eet all sounds funny to me," I added with a grin.

hm...you all want to do something with the souls?

((Sure. Remember, though, that as long as they're touching Aiolii, Senet can hear everything the souls say even though Finn, Cricket, and Ami can't. He can talk to them, too.))

Ooh, that sounds fun. Soul talk! Hey, do animals have souls? Or can they see souls? Hmm...

((They can see souls, but they don't have them. Only creatures capable of intelligent thought have souls; it's the soul that enables this thought in the first place. Of course, that doesn't compute when you include Devlyn (did I spell that right?).))

Creu and Eruo lay at the base of the couch, peaceful for now. Eruo sleeps, Creu glances over at her every now and again being bothered by her close proximity.

The black cat paced across to room, fidgetingly, as if waiting for something to pounce. Every now and then she glanced curiously at the two wolves lying there, but didn't pay them much mind otherwise. The mutt dog laid down on its paws at Finn's feet, watching the wolves with both curiousity and caution.

WINTER!

Eruo yawns and blinks awake, but doesn't move. She catches a glance from the cat. "You know, there's a saying about cats and curiousness."
Creu grumbles, ears flicking back a moment. "Eruo, don't start..."

((Sorry, I was just typing. And I thought Eruo was a dude? o.o Also, you should know that souls can't speak to each other if they aren't making contact. Eruo and Creu might be an exception, though.))

I stood by Senet as I always did, though I was somewhat bored. I wondered what would happen if I sat down... Probably nothing. Horses aren't supposed to lie down because they'd crush their own hearts, but since I don't have a body, I'm pretty sure it wouldn't affect me. After all, it's not like I'm a real horse.
Bah, I thought. Probably best not to think about it. I don't even think I have a heart, anyway.
I've always wondered what's inside souls, Senet mused. Maybe we should crack you open just to see what comes out.
Give it a shot, I teased. I bet it'd kill you in the process. We could always tell when the other was joking, regardless of tone. It had to do with sharing the same brain.
I looked over to the two wolves, one of whom looked to be snoozing peacefully. Fine by me if it meant that the evil one was also asleep. This two-souled, two-personality girl was so weird. What she really needed was two bodies to match. Lives and souls were supposed to reside in their own bodies. It was always those three parts, and it always would be. This girl, however, had five parts. I kinda felt bad for her. Rather, I would've felt bad for her if she hadn't threatened Senet.
You're always so protective, he thought, a grin in his voice.
Can't help it, I replied, giving him the notion of a shrug to accompany the words. I'm a soul.
Now I looked to the cat and the dog. The cat seemed agitated, and the dog was just staring at the wolves. I walked over to the cat, putting my hoof out for her to touch. Come to think of it, I wasn't sure if she'd know what to do. Most souls know nothing of their capabilities. I decided that if she didn't come to me, I'd come to her.

The cat blinked up at the horse, somewhat startled for a hoof the size of her head to suddenly be in front of her. But with a swish of her tail she reared up, playfully pounced the hoof, and investigated her prize. It was harder than she anticipated. How do you even walk on these things? She said, not particularily expecting an answer.

((Now that we're playing our character's souls, you should also know that souls see things much differently than lives do. Souls exist on demi-planes that are connected to each plane. The demi-planes hold the energy of life, so souls are able to see the life in all things. It's sorta like aura vision. They can also see the energy that bonders use, as well as the energy's shape. Additionally, they can see a soul's energy tie to a life as a faint shimmer in the air. If the tie is agitated, such as when a soul attacks another soul, the tie becomes much more apparent and crackles with blue light. Finally, souls have difficulty seeing man-made objects like buildings or cars.))

It's actually quite easy, I thought to the soul in English. Anatomically speaking, it's really one large toe. My name's Aiolii, by the way. Do you know yours?

The cat reared away when she heard the voice, startled, but tapped the hoof with her paw again. Ah...that's new. Name? Hmm. Never really thought of that.

The dog lifted her head at the the horse, and something like a low, questioning bark escaped her jaws.

I saw the dog move and open its jaws as if it were saying something. Pity. I wasn't touching it, so I couldn't hear. Of course, it didn't need to open its mouth to speak anyway, but I didn't think it knew that.
Souls can talk to other souls if they're touching each other.
Lives can do it too, if they're bonders, Senet added.
Stay out of this, please. We don't want to confuse her even more.
Yeah, you're right. I'll shut up now.
