The Summer that changed my life forever...

Brok: "I thought it went to five," I said. "I only have four."

Dakota: "Oh. You're right." I felt stupid, and blushed slightly. I served.

Brok: She caught me off guard, and the puck ended up in my goal somehow. "Dang it," I complained, grabbing it and serving it to her.

Dakota: I smiled a little, smacking it back to his side.

Brok: I hit it back, really hoping I didn't lose this game. She was pretty good.

Dakota: It made it in. "Like I said...good game."

Brok: I raised an eyebrow. "That was lucky," I said. "How about another one?"

Dakota: "Nah." There was a line, and so I just shrugged and set down my mallett. I didn't want to hold up everyone else. That reminded me of when I'd had to wait for the racing game earlier. Hey, that guy had been wearing a baseball cap, too. Wait... "But one quick question, did you like that racing game? You were playing awhile."

Brok: I set mine down too, a little tired of ice hockey. Then I heard the question. "Hm?" I said. "Yeah, I did. Why?"

Dakota: "I wanted to play, but you were on there for /forever/," I said amusedly.

Brok: "Oh," I said. "Sorry. It was good."

Dakota: I laughed lightly. "No big deal. I did /finally/ get to play, and it was fun."

Brok: I nodded and adjusted my cap, pulling it lower over my eyes. It sucked to go to arcades now because I didn't want people to recognize me, but I didn't want to lie to them either, so I decided to just get away. "Well, see ya," I said, starting to walk over to the food area.

Dakota: "Actually you won't, I don't live around here," I said as he walked away, but figured he hadn't heard me.

Brok: "Neither do I," I muttered under my breath as I continued. We only came here because of Shane. Otherwise, we'd go back to Dallas.

Dakota: I bit my lip. Not a people person, I guess it was obvious. People usually didn't talk to me for long. I turned and went to find another game to play.

Brok: I really wished I could have talked to her longer. Now I went to go play at the jump rope game, as I hadn't jumped real rope in a while.

Dakota: I noticed him playing another game, but carefully avoided that area. It would be too awkward...in a way.

Brok: I turned around after finishing and saw her. Should I say something? Maybe. I'd left really awkwardly. "Hey," I said, tapping her shoulder.

Dakota: "Oh, sorry, did you want to play this one?" My game had finished anyway, so I stepped aside.

Brok: "It's fine," I said. "I wanted to apologize for being rude earlier. I didn't even get your name."

Dakota: "Yeah well...I'm Dakota." I shrugged.

Brok: I nodded. "Cool. Nice to meet you, Dakota."

Dakota: I raised an eyebrow. "And what's /yours/?"

Brok: "Brok," I said, hoping she didn't recognize the uncommon name.
