Re: The Summer that changed my life forever...
Brok: I laughed. "Good. Just making sure," I said. Unfortunately, I'd procrastinated, so there were a lot of dishes. But if I waited any longer, they would reach the ceiling.
Re: The Summer that changed my life forever...
Dakota: "Do you want me to help...?" I asked, even though it looked like a sucky chore. "I could dry, you wash?"

Re: The Summer that changed my life forever...
Brok: I raised an eyebrow. "If you want to. Seriously, I totally forgot about all the dishes."
Re: The Summer that changed my life forever...
Dakota: I walked over and began drying the ones he'd already washed. "Well the quicker we get them done the more time we'll have to actually hang out."

Re: The Summer that changed my life forever...
Brok: "Good point," I said. "What do you want to do after this?"
Re: The Summer that changed my life forever...
Dakota: I shrugged as I dried the dishes. "I still don't have any ideas, like when you asked earlier." Well that made me feel boring. Maybe I could come up with something, though.

Re: The Summer that changed my life forever...
Brok: I sighed. "Hm," I said. "Sorry, I'm not really sure what to do. I guess we could play videogames."
Re: The Summer that changed my life forever...
Dakota: I smiled. "Okay. What games do you have?"

Re: The Summer that changed my life forever...
Brok: "Depends on what you want to play. If we don't have something, we can go buy it."
Re: The Summer that changed my life forever...
Dakota: He could just go buy it? Suddenly I felt uncomfortable in this big, expensive jet, around Brok, who seemed to think money grew on trees. My stomach turned a little. We had finished the dishes and I dried the last one. "Um, actually I think I'm going to head home. Like I said, I didn't tell anyone I was here, and my parents might worry."

Re: The Summer that changed my life forever...
Brok: I frowned. We hadn't even done anything yet. "Why are you leaving? Come on, it'll be fun. Kent's not going to care unless we destroy the jet. I'm not sure how many of those he can buy."
Re: The Summer that changed my life forever...
Dakota: He could afford even more of these? I half wanted to stay, but at the same time it was weird..."Can't we hang out a different day?" Maybe not around all this expensive stuff...

Re: The Summer that changed my life forever...
Brok: I shrugged. "Yeah, if you'd like. As long as I get to see you again. Where should we go?"
Re: The Summer that changed my life forever...
Dakota: I smiled at the first part. "Um...we could get ice cream?"

Re: The Summer that changed my life forever...
Brok: I grinned. Why hadn't I thought of that? "Okay. So, when would you like to have our ice-cream date?"
Re: The Summer that changed my life forever...
Dakota: I rolled my eyes and thought for a moment. "Not tomorrow, I have to work. The day after tomorrow."

Re: The Summer that changed my life forever...
Brok: I laughed. "Sorry, I'm what most people call weird. But okay, we can hang then. Mind if I call you tomorrow night though?"
Re: The Summer that changed my life forever...
Dakota: I shrugged. "Go ahead. And, uh, I'm not totally sure I can find my way out of here without getting lost.." meaning the jet, and then the Fanta Center.

Re: The Summer that changed my life forever...
Brok: "Oh," I said. "Yeah, I got lost all the time too. I finally figured out how to get around last summer," I admitted, grinning. "I'll show you out."
Re: The Summer that changed my life forever...
Brok: I wondered what she was thinking right now. Maybe she felt out of place here? I wasn't sure. But I couldn't blame her if she was uncomfortable.
Re: The Summer that changed my life forever...
Dakota: "So I'll talk to you tomorrow, bye!" I left, walking back to the music shop, where my car was.

Re: The Summer that changed my life forever...
Brok: "Bye!" I called to her, although she was already gone. I ran a hand through my hair as I walked back to the jet. Man, she was definitely an interesting girl to be around. But what did she think of me?
Re: The Summer that changed my life forever...
Dakota: I got into my car and drove home. Of course, my parents weren't home. No, they wouldn't be worrying about me, and I think Brok had seen through my lie. I wasn't the most excellent liar. But it was just weird being around someone who had everything when I had nothing. Brok was great...just, I liked him better when we weren't on his jet or were talking about something besides money.

(ooooooohhh OoO)
Brok: I laid in bed, drumming some patterns out as I thought of Dakota. Well, at least I'd be calling her tomorrow.
(maybe skip to the next day where Dakota is doing something at the store?)
