Story:
There was a time when you humans needed us, a time of nothingness in which you relied upon us. We were the ones you worshipped, the beings you loved dearly, and the gods you praised. In return we would give all of you gifts: a good harvest, a healthy child, a successful business venture. We let you prosper and succeed. We watched you strive for greatness in our care.

There came a time when humans achieved abundance on their own. We did not need to be prayed to anymore. You cursed us out when you had a bad harvest, a still born child, a raid by thieves. We had suddenly become things to blame for all of your little trivial hardships. You did not see all of the other good we gave anymore. We tried to take our help away, to make you regret your decision and come back to us. We missed you dearly, you see, but by then you humans had become godlike in your own ways.

There is no way we can return to your favor again, so we go. We fall from the stars to join the ranks of humans. We keep our immortality and our affinities among you, though we like to live with you and keep our natures secret. We are simply beings of your legends now. You call us Pearls. You can see us fall from the stars, falling lights such as the falling beads of a pearl necklace. The Pearls of the Stars.

There are those of us who do not see this as an option though. Many wish for revenge upon you for losing your faith in us so easily. To punish you for all the wrong you’ve committed us. They fall only to make you humans suffer. It’s time we step forward from the shadows and protect you. You are our creations. We do not wish to see you suffer again.


Rules/Clarifications:
- You will be making a good god/goddess, a bad god/goddess, and a human. Humans really only interact with good gods/goddesses since the bad gods/goddesses want them dead. They can fall for a bad god/goddess in the beginning before the god/goddess decides to try and kill them. You know, for drama!
- Your human is not allowed to be the companion of your god/goddess, only another person’s. What the pair does is up to the writers – hate each other, become friends, fall in love…Whatever!
- If a god/goddess wishes to stay with the human, he/she has the option of giving up their immortality.
- Your god/goddess does not have to look like the supposed image (if he/she comes with one) that they are supposed to look like.
- Your god/goddess’s affinity does not have to decide if they are good/evil. A god of chaos can be good while a goddess of life can be bad.
- Your god/goddess must have existed at one point, in any culture. They would not be gods/goddesses used in any of today’s religions because they have not been forgotten by humanity.
- Only gods/goddesses can kill one another, humans can only hurt them. If you do want to out your bad god/goddess, you have the option of making another. Want to out someone else’s god/goddess? Please ask their permission before doing so.
- Human hurt/dying? Gods/goddesses can heal; Gods/goddesses cannot make people return from the dead. (Unless your affinity says otherwise. Examples: God/goddess of death cannot heal, but can bring people back. God/goddess of life can heal, but cannot bring people back.)
- If your god/goddess comes with a weapon they can summon it in times of battle er whatnot. They don’t have to carry it around the whole time.
- The Kings of the Gods (ie Zeus, Thor, Ra, ect), the MAJOR Bigwhigs are off limits to personify. They're staying in 'heaven' to look over the gods/goddesses to make sure that they don't reveal too much to humans. If they do, they get punished, usually death.
- Please try and keep guy/girl ratios even.

Personality: very cool, calm, collected. Tries to be brave, doesn’t always think the situation through.

Appearance: Long, soft, blonde waves to the small of her back, and sparkling blue eyes. Thin, but definitely has curves (almost shaped like a Barbie doll). Usually wears short skirts/dresses made out of flimsy, light-colored materials (color ex.: light pink, white, light gold) and gladiator sandals.
Personality: "Heavenly" on one side, charming and kind. But she has a bit of a temper at times, and can get jealous if the attention is not soley on her.

Appearance: Jet black hair and tan skin - he's constantly around heat and fire, after all - dark eyes that are frighteningly deep. A sarcastic-looking smile, but a practiced scowl. Lots of muscle, think Taylor Lautner - in every way, since he has the same coloring. Usually wears dark-colored, cargo shorts, and also a dark shirt.
Personality: Obnoxious, cocky, a bit insane. He can be quite charming, though it's ALWAYS a trap.
Good/Bad: Bad
Background: Thinks of humans as pawns.

Ares watches a girl come down the street silently as he leans against a building's brick wall at the street's corner. So happy and carefree...maybe he can change that a little bit.

Naomi brushed a strand of hair out of her face. She opened the door to her apartment building and texted her sister. I t was always best to give Ruth a heads-up.

Tossing her long hair out of her face, Nan crossed her arms and tapped Ares on the shoulder.

If she was a human, she'd probably had frozen to death by now. A flowing brown and green dress floated down to her knees and she wasn't wearing any shoes. The dress was also strapless, the only protection between her and the cold being her hair.

"Who's the girl?" she asked, nodding towards the filthy little human on the street.

I merely shrug, watching her go into the apartment building. "Just another human."

I smile at Naomi as I exit my apartment. "Hey neighbor," i say lightly, locking my door.

Naomi smiles in a friendly way. "Hi." She says, fishing around in her messenger bag for her keys.

Eris pushes a strand of hair out of her face. She strolls across the street, toward the other goddess and god.
