Pearls of the Stars

Persephone: "That depends on what I'm going to see. But by all means, lie to me."

"If you can get over your air head, and not act like a jerk, you might one digit every hour or so. Maybe more, depends on how nice you are." Nan smiles coquettishly and rests her chin on her hands.

With a smile, Barin took a bite of the risotto. "Mmm... even better than last time. Diana, you've got to try this."

Apollo: I'm surprised. "An hour?" I smile. "Well, that's nine hours of convincing you."

Diana smiled and took a bite. She chuckled. "Good! Nothing like Italy's though. There is the most lovely place in Rome..."

"Oh, but i'd hate to ruin the surprise!" Ares says with a smile, turning on his heal and starts walking away. "Come now, make up your mind. I'm sure your imagination can fill in the lighter parts of it."

Persephone: I shrug and follow him. "My imagination is filled with butterflies and flowers," I joke.

"Of course," he says sarcastically, putting his hands into his pockets. "You've certainly seen the wars I've assisted in. And that's only me /assisting/, not participating."

"Ten, actually, if you want the last number. And you could start by getting my lunch." She fluttered her eyelashes.

Persephone: "I remember," I say thoughtfully. "I painted flowers red on those days. Red and black."

Apollo: "So you're a golddigger," I tease, waving the waitress over.

Nan smiled. "I prefer 'opportunistic,' but that's one way of putting it. I'll have the grilled cheese sandwich."

Ares nodded with a smile. "I do love red," he jokes.

Apollo: I raise an eyebrow. "So I'm an opportunity?"

Persephone: I smile slightly. "I do too," I mutter. "On sunsets."

Ares chuckled. "Maybe you shouldn't come then..."

"In a way, we're all opportunities, aren't we? It just depends on whether or not we take advantage of ourselves or let ourselves be taken advantage of," mused Nan. "Hey, you should write that down. That was deep."

Persephone: I frown. "Then who would stop you from doing something stupid?"

Apollo: I smile. "You can write it down, but I already have it memorized."

Nan nodded in approval. "Clinging to my every word. Very good. 4."

Apollo: I pull out a napkin and write the number down. "I wasn't exactly clinging, it's just that I have a knack for remembering beautiful things."

Oh, so she is good. She's just making sure I don't reveal anything to the masses. "I Fell quite a while ago, Persephone. I can take care of myself."

Persephone: "I'm sure you could. But I'm making sure you don't make a scene when all those police find you."

Ares chuckles. "Zeus won't allow it. He's not about to reveal it all to the humans, meaning we have a free pass to do anything in our power. Police won't ever find me, and so long as I don't make it a goal to have humans find out about us, I can go about my fun with the pests."

Persephone: "Then I'll make sure you don't go too far," I say surely.

Ares smiled politely, raising an eyebrow at her. "And you'll stop me? What makes you think I'll suddenly change my ways with you around? I've killed plenty."

Persephone: "And I've watched you. But maybe around a lady you'll think twice."

Ares simply rolls his eyes. He was going to point out the fact that he's killed ladies before, though it didn't seem worth it to argue with her. "In any case, it'll be a few more hours or so. The crowds have to go away and then the midnight fun can start."

Persephone: I grin. "You can't see flowers during midnight."

Naomi pulls on a sweatshirt and walks into a nearby diner.
