What Is Left After?

Roxanne: I hissed sharply, then tried to relax, which was obviously hard to do with a bullet lodged in my shoulder, "Because we wouldn't have been in there if I hadn't suggested it in the first place. I should have figured others would've taken that opportunity also." I said at the same volume.

Joseph: I shrug. "Well, I wanted all the guys to come. So it's my fault too," I say, trying to comfort her. "I could've listened to Aimery."

Aimery: "Yeah, and if you had, we'd all be dead," I mutter, leaning back and taking a deep breath.

Roxanne: I sighed, and tried to focus on something, anything. I went quiet because I was unsure what to say.

Joseph: "Close your eyes," I say softly.

Roxanne: I had the urge to ask him why, but I swallowed those words before they could come out, and closed my eyes.

Joseph: "Imagine a meadow, with a soft, gurgling stream. There's a small wind, and it's playing with your hair."

Roxanne: I thought it was a little odd, but I did as he said, picturing that scene in my mind, even though I probably knew what was coming next.

Joseph: I tighten the tourquinet, wincing. "And imagine the smell of flowers," I said quickly.

Roxanne: I closed my eyes tighter, still trying to imagine, trying to get my mind off anything else.

Joseph: I hold it, tying the sknot quickly, and then drop my hands. "Done."

Roxanne: I breathed a ragged sigh of relief, "Thank you." I said sincerely, glancing at him then I realized something. I couldn't exactly put my shirt on as easily as I took it off, so I used it to cover my front instead.

Joseph: I smirk. "Welcome." I reach over to find my bag and pull out a shirt. "It's too big, but I guess you're just too small."

Roxanne: "Whatever works." I said with a small smile as I took the shirt from him, and slipped it on. It was too big, but oh well. I frankly didn't care.

Joseph: I smile at her again. "Or maybe I'm too small."

Roxanne: I wanted to shrug, but I stopped myself, and smiled back, "Either way, really, it's still too big." I half-joked.

Joseph: I grin. "I could fix that."

Roxanne: I raised an eyebrow at him with a smile though. "Do I want to know?"

Joseph: I shrug. "Do you have a hair tie?"

Roxanne: "Maybe." I searched through my bag, and finally found one after looking for half a minute. "Got one."

((Erm... Does anyone want to tell me what's just happened?))

(Well, basically everyone else went to get supplies, and such, but they were ambushed, and barely made it back to the hotel. Joesph was shot in the arm, Aimery has a long gash in her stomach and my character, Roxanne, was shot in the shoulder. That's pretty much it.)

Joseph: I crumple the bottom of the tshirt like I used to see my sister do and tie it with the hair tie. "There. Better?"

Roxanne: "Much." I leaned down, and grabbed my pack, taking a bottle of water out. I then took a swallow of it, I mentally frowned at the thought of having to take the bullet out, and then stitches.

Joseph: I sigh and pick up the bloody clothes. "Well, I guess we'll have to put these in a fire tonight. Not much sense it making the fire while it's light outside."

Roxanne: I couldn't help from shrugging, and winced slightly at the flash of moderate pain. I half-smiled anyway as I quoted what Aimery said earlier, "Smoke is a signal.". Then I remembered why she said that. The possum. I had the urge to smack myself on the head. Totally forgot about that.
