I shrug. "Suit yourself." I wind back before aiming for the side of her head. Yeah, sure, sarcasm, i got it. Doesn't mean I was going to pass up the chance to give this insulting little bitch a bit more pain...

Winnie bit her tongue to keep from screaming, head throbbing blindingly. She fought the numbness closing in, but then realised, what was the point? The longer she was awake the longer it would hurt. But the buzzing darkness drew back after a moment, leaving her half concious. She distantly felt herself relax deeper against the floor. It was cold. It felt good. The floor was her friend. Breath in, breath out. Everything was fuzzy and only half there.

Crooks chuckled. "Shall we go?"

I nod, grinning over to him. "Uh-huh." I throw the bat away, the wood clanging against the stone floor.

Brawne got up from the floor, the cold had started to soak up into his chest. Everyone was gone. No reason he shouldnt be too. The boy hastily wiped the grit off his hands and pulled his cap down low over his eyes. Stealthily, he tread through the hallways, making it to the exit unseen. Good. Just the way he liked it.

Ami
I stop when Sparrow storms off, pursing my lips as my eyebrows knit together. Messing everything up, aren't you? I hang my head ashamed, but why is a part of me relieved? Happy even? I squeeze my eyes shut as they prick, my hands fisting at my sides.

Milo
I place my hands on Ami's shoulders, smooth against my mine. "Hey, don't worry about it. Shes touchy." I wink slyly and reach up to muss Ami's hair.

Ami
"She's judgmental, that's what she is," i mutter under my breath, not caring what I say. My voice shakes and i keep my head down, staring at the ground. "I'm trying...I really am." Spots dot the floor and i whip my eyes frustrated. "I just can't help caring...about you two. About you. It won't go away..."

"Thats the thing about it...it never really does go away." Milo explained shrugging slightly.

Ami
I nod slightly, though I still don't want to look anywhere other than the floor. I unfist my hands and put one over his on my shoulder. Cool and solid, so i know its his metal one, but still comforting and calming. Like Dan, sort of. "So...I guess I'll go find Wisp..." I say, still leaving it up to him whether or not he wants to come.

Sparrow:
Ami padded out from the kitchen, not expecting me to be leaning against the wall not ten feet from the door.
"You get to call me a bitch every day of my life, but I'm the judgemental one?" I quirked a brow, my lips pursed.
"You realize you're stereotyping, being judgemental, and a hypocrite all at the same time. Congrats, most people only hit two."

Ami
I stop, my eyes finding hers. I keep my face straight, my emotions in check. "I've never called you bitch," i say softly. I let out a breath in a heavy sigh. "Stereotyping, i don't see how. Perhaps judgmental myself, and...yes, i see your point of hypocrite."

Sparrow:
Crude maybe, but I laughed. Not a happy laugh, and not a maniacal one; something between bitter and in pain.
"Of course you have. Somewhere in there." I pointed at her chest, but even I wasnt sure if I meant in her heart or in her mind.
"Maybe not stereotyping, couldnt think of a better word to go with judgemental and hypocritical. Everything looks better in threes, right?" She obviously didn't think my dark humor was all that humorous. Or maybe she just didnt get it.

"You hated me first you know. You and all youre preppy little buddies."

Ami
I look away. "Sparrow, you say no one wants to be your friend; no one cares for you. You say I hate you. I do not, and perhaps my friends have but that doesn't change me. You're attitude is very hard to like though." I swallow, trying to collect my thoughts into words. "I have to say, I don't know a ton about you to make my decision yet but I'd like to like you. And I know that may be hard right now, with this circumstance, but i'd like to have you as a friend rather than an enemy."

Sparrow:
I nodded like I wasn't trying to filter the real words from the self-righteous bullshit. "Well you're doing a suckass job, I can tell you that much."
"Never once have you even tried to be my friend." I paused, then added, "In fact you kind of ignore me."

I pushed off the wall and faced her head on. "Maybe I don't want people to like me. People suck. And if you havent gone through the 10th grade analyzation of Taming Of The Shrew then you're not going to understand why I act the way I do. So please don't try."

Ami
"That's an unfortunate case of hypocrite yourself. You threaten me for Milo and then say you want no one to care? Sorry if I don't understand," i say with a dry laugh. Just like hers a few moments before.
"And, yes. I haven't tried. But that's just because you're sort of...intimidating, in your own way. Your a type of person I've never met before and I couldn't figure out how. Well, now I'm simply doing it bluntly. Don't like it, fine, but you can't say I didn't try anymore." I half think about walking away right then, but I want to see her reaction.

Sparrow:

"So wait, this-" I stopped for a moment to hold back the laugh growing in my throat, "This is you trying to be my friend? You called me a hypocrite, told me I have a crappy personality, and are trying to steal my boyfriend." I couldnt help it, a grin cracked across my face and the laughs spilled out.
"How many friends did you have in preschool?"

"Technically, if I aged correctly, I'd /be/ in preschool, Sparrow. Three years, seven months." I pause with my own smile. "But yes, this is me, trying to be a friend and see past all of your negatives for a positive. And Milo -"
I stop, looking back at the kitchen a moment as he comes out. "I'm not trying to steal him because I know I have no chance. He's loyal to you, Sparrow. He wouldn't give you up for anything...and I'm happy you can have that. I'm jealous myself."

Sparrow:
I stared where she stared, my heart squished and I could feel my features settle into longing crossed with woe.
"Well you know more than I." I mumbled as I moved toward the kitchen door.

Milo
I walk out to Sparrow and Ami a step away from eachother, their glares suggested that the topic that they wanted to rip eachothers throats out over was me. Oh shit. "Hold up." I grab Sparrows arm before she can escape into the kitchen.

Ami
I stare a moment until a soft smile comes to my lips. Sad, but sort of content at the same time. "If that's all..." I murmur, trying to slip away myself.
