Fight or Flight

Veronica: I shrug. Their voices were starting to go away. I guess that was good -- they were getting a little annoying.

Aria
"Oh come on," I said, frowning. "It's not like two people can share the same hallucination."

(Something needs to wake her up a little so she's scared...)

Kim
"Well...maybe...but...It's possible right?" I give an empty laugh and look over at Emily but she's just staring. Like she did with my brother's arm. "I mean...I didn't just have /fire/...on my hand."

Aria
"I think both options are pretty ridiculous," I said with a slightly nervous laugh. "But yeah, I guess group hallucinations are possible after all, eh?"

Emily
"Right," i murmur, forcing myself to look away to the opposite wall, just staring at the white wall. "Group hallucination. By three people."

Veronica: I smile. "I didn't feel anything. But then again, I'm a little too drowsy."

Aria
I frowned, focusing on the shadows in the nearest corner. I don't know why my eyes went to them, but...they were just so lovely and dark. Everywhere else was nasty and light, but here, in this little spot, darkness prevailed. I continued to stare at them, slightly transfixed, when...
"Eep!" I exclaimed, jumping. I turned to look at the others, embarassed. "Uh, sorry, just got a chill."
I hadn't really gotten one, of course; something had startled me. But that was silly! Those shadows couldn't possibly have moved...

(lol...well Veronica isn't one t touch people...)

Emily
"Alright," i say, somewhat annoyed, somewhat flustered. "People need to stop freaking out right now or I swear..." Please, Em, you couldn't threaten a fly...

Aria
"Yeah..." I started. "I agree. We all just need to relax. I mean, maybe it's some effect of the drug. That's what we're here for, isn't it? We should tell them about that when they get back..."

Veronica: I open my eyes, which oddly took a bit of willpower. "When are they coming back anyway?" I ask, staring at the ceiling.

"They won't for a while. At least until they know its safe. God knows we had our little freak outs..."
A voice comes over the PA system. Emily and Kim jump, but then Kim frowns slightly. "I know that voice..." Kim looks back at Emily for a confirmation, but she was staring at the frost that had suddenly appeared on the bed around her.
"It's...cold..." She murmurs, reaching out and touching it.
Not a hallucination then. Kim looks around the room quickly. "Dan?"
"Hey sis," the PA says softly, a hint of amusement in his voice. "Sorry I haven't been around, but...we've ran into a /slight/ situation..."

Aria
"Holy..." I started, staring at the frost on the bed. "Did you just...?" No, that was ridiculous...! Impossible! And now this guy on the PA was talking about some "situation"... I didn't like this one bit.

Veronica: I look at the PA. "When am I getting out of here?" I ask loudly.

"You want as soon as possible. They would prefer never," Dan says. There's a pause, a bit of background noise. Other voices, muffled. "Sorry. They're suspecting something, I have to go. Just don't trust what the doctors say. Stay safe, maybe we'll meet up and figure out a way to get out of here." The PA cuts off, silence fills the room.

Veronica: I sigh, muttering under my breath. "Well isn't he nice."

Aria
"I suddenly really don't feel comfortable being here," I said uneasily.

Veronica: I roll my eyes. "And I'm hungry."

Kim
"/That's/ your concern right now? You're /hungry/ and my brother just told us that we might as well be prisoners?" I ask her, giving a humorless laugh. Some people were just created to annoy others... "He's a comedian, but he wouldn't joke about our well being. I have freaking fire coming from my finger tips for God's sakes!"

Veronica: I sigh. "But I don't, and I really don't feel different at all, except for that I'm hungry. What do you want me to do, huh? Be all scared because you're spitting fire? I think you're covering my job right now."

Aria
"I'm pretty sure I just moved some shadows with my mind," I murmured, looking at my hands. I pulled my legs up to my chest and rested my chin on my knees.
