I walked over to the sink, and spit out the ice cube.

"That was... I guess I deserved that. At least I didn't get thrown."

I watched everything happening. That girl over there was controlling it. I loved violence...but i wanted to stop it at the same time. Living with a bunch of angels wasn't helping me make decisions very well...Eh I chose to wait for more violence. Then maybe I would stop it....

Mirissa bit her lip to keep from crying out as the broken light cast shadows over her side of the room. Blinking slowly she let her eyes adjust to the sudden change, smiling a little at the fact she could now see. Spotting Artemis she called the shadows and sent them over to her, the shadows beginning to creep up Artemis's legs. "Let me down and we can talk about this."

Artemis hissed and the pressure pushing Mirissa into the ceiling doubled. "You betrayed me." She accused, her voice becoming a slight cry.

Mirissa did cry out then, the broken glass of the light behind her cutting into her back. "How did I betray you? By making sure that another girl didn't get a broken heart because the man she loved died? How did you feel when Kale died? Do you honestly wish that feeling upon other people? I don't."

"He doesn't deserve love. He killed him," Artemis sobbed, "He killed him then took me. H-how could you? Kale's d-d-d-d-dead." She crumpled, the truth of the words ripping the hole in her heart afresh.

Mirissa sighed, her mind touching the presents she felt come back. "But he's not dead. He came back again. Why not just let the past be and let Jenny have her little bit of happiness. I came here to rest." She said suddenly, annoyance creeping into her voice. "NOT get thrown around like a pillow. Why don't you let me down and at least act like we're still friends?"

And just like that, Artemis remembered that he was indeed alive again. "Oh." She let go of the holds, leaving mirissa to well... fall. Her eyes lit up and she went bounding out of the room, intent on going back to that lovely night her and kale were spending together at the moment in the chat her author has her in.

Amorelle blinked and watched the strange girl sped out. Well that was.... something.

((lolz I know....that might be a little harder than this..... ))

Mirissa hit the floor with a groan and stared after Artemis with annoyance. "Well thanks for being gentle!" She called out and slowly stood. Glancing around she settled for moving into a chair in this corner of the room, that way she didn't have to move from the shadows.

T.Mor:

Walks in.
Sits knees to chest on sofa.
Cries silently into knees.

Cricket

. . . I don't think I'd ever felt that guilty in my life.

It actually took quite a bit of courage to walk into CBR. He would never trust me again . . . he would hate me. He wouldn't listen. T.Mor . . . oi my my, T.Mor . . . I thought I'd lost a friend.

I was completely silent as I paced over, and curled onto the couch next to him. What could I say? What does anyone say, in that situation? ". . . T.Mor . . ." I paused, choking on my words. "I'm so sorry, I . . ."

T.Mor:

Glances up at Cricket, just long enough to confirm who it is.
Returns to knees to chest, forehead to knees formation.
"...go... go away..." Practically unintelligible.

Cricket

That . . . hurt. I'm not sure how else to describe it. I could always search my mind for a simile, or . . . something . . . but no, my friend was crying because of me, and it hurt. Simple as that. And I had no idea what to say. As a matter of fact, I didn't trust myself to talk, or I might just cry. I didn't even remember I could do that.

"T.Mor--" Oh bother. I cut myself off right there.

Take a breath.

Bright side.

Repeat.

Try again.

"It wasn't me . . . back there, it wasn't me, and I'm sorry."

T.Mor:

"...really." Phrases it as a question...although, it's still nigh uninterpretable through the silent tears.
Doesn't believe a word of what was just said.
Is actually speaking to his knees.

*throws in first version of Artemis*

Artemis was settled in the shadows, watching t.mor and some other guy. T.mor was crying.... This intrigued her. She listened closely.

Ezra

I walked in the room, and the first thing I saw was T. Mor crying. T.mor...crying...that was a sight I had never seen in my life. I walked over slowly, "Are you okay?"

Cricket

I pulled a knee to my chest when Ezra approached us, not wanting the extra company. Oi my my. T.Mor couldn't even look at me. Bright side . . . at least . . . ah, well, that was a tough one. Maybe there was still a chance that he would listen. A tiny splinter of a chance. I buried my face in my knee. "I'm so, so sorry . . . you'll, ah . . . you'll never trust my word again, will you?" I squeezed my eyes shut, bracing myself for the answer.

T.Mor:

Shrugs. Has no valid answer for that.
Did not even look up to acknowledge Ezra's question.
"...At...At least...At least...Mr.Face...is...honest..." Again talking to knees.

". . ." That . . . that was true. Point taken. I was worse than Mr. Face in another life. My arms clutched tighter around my knee, as if that might somehow hold me together, and --oh bother-- I felt something drip off my cheek. Cue pretending I hadn't felt anything at all. I almost apologised again, but what good would that do? ". . .It wasn't me," I finally murmered. ". . . I didn't do it."

T.Mor:

Wasn't buying this. "...right..."
Shifted a little towards the wall to be facing away from Cricket...although, knees didn't have faces...

Cricket

I wanted to . . . I don't know. Yell and hide, talk to someone and be left alone, apologise a million times over and then scream that it wasn't my fault. So . . . I just sat there hiding my face. I was too weighed down to even whistle, it felt like.

I'm a terrible friend. I'm the worst friend in the history of friends, and now I'm paying for it . . . except it wasn't me in there . . . but it was . . . but maybe I could have stopped it somehow, killed the doppleganger or the works. But that would require killing. But T.Mor! T.Mor T.Mor T.Mor . . . I'm so sorry . . . I shouldn't be here, torturing you more, I should leave you alone. But I can't, because. Because! I battled with my thoughts for a long silence.

"What . . . do you want me t' do? T' prove it to you?" I murmered.

T.Mor:

"...I...I don't even..." Voice cracks a bit.
Has no idea how to deal with this, at all.
Really wants to believe this Cricket...but... All those words.
All those true words... Hit too close to home.
The crying becomes not so silent for a moment, but is quickly brought back down to acceptable inaudibility.

Cricket

After a moment, there were a few muffled sobs. No, don't cry . . . please? That was it. I turned my head so I could see him through the slits in my hair, and . . . that was a mistake. Another jab of guilt shot through me apon seeing him curled up like that. I wanted to . . . make him react. Somehow. Make sure I wasn't invisible, and make things better, and forget everything ever happened. "T--" I reached to place a hand on his shoulder, but drew back just short. It took me another moment to remember how to say words. "T-T.Mor . . . please . . . you're one of my good friends, and I wouldn't dream of 'urting you, ever. If I did, it would be in a nightmare."

T.Mor:

"...But...But...You...You said it yourself...I'm a monster..." Is terribly shaky in saying that, and even though it's quiet, the crying can still be distinguished, nowhere near as silent as it was when he first entered the room.

Cricket

"That wasn't me," I repeated softly, squeezing my eyes shut again.
