The Character Break Room

"Hey Marley!" said Tommy, standing up and brushing himself off.

"Guys...this is my friend Tommy."

Marley
I smiled over at Tommy and waved "Hey, look, you're short again" I laughed

"Yeah," he pouted, "one day condition."

Andrew smiled, "And it's wonderful."

Tommy glared at Andrew, "Shut up, Giganto."

T.Mor:

Oh good. Everyone else is up. I uncurled myself from the ball where I was not sleeping, and pretended to look well rested. "Erm." I said, ever the verbose one. "Uhm. So..." I added, making it up to one real word.

"That's T. Mor," said Andrew, pointing to him.

"Hi T. Mor...that's a neat name." grinned Tommy.

T.Mor:

"Erm...Thank You?" I said uncertainly.

Tommy laughed, "I'm Tommy. I would shake your hand but I can't."

Andrew sighed, sitting up and yawning. "Ah..sleep feels good. So what brings you here?"

"I can't vist? Meet people? Geez harsh, Andrew."

"Knowing you there's a plan behind everything."

T.Mor:

I waved. "Nice to meet you." I tried to look all 'well-rested'.

Andrew appeared next to T. Mor. "I was up for sometime last night, you're not fooling me," he whispered.

Tommy tilted his head curiously, trying to listen. Andrew reapeared next to Tommy. "It's not polite to easdrop." Andrew said, swatting him across the back of the head.

T.Mor:

"Ok..." I was unsure how to repond to that. On the one hand, I didn't care particularly about people knowing about my lack of sleep...But on the other...August had responded to that with some kind of rant about sleep deprivation and my health. I didn't want another useless rant. So...I just looked at Andrew as though I had no idea what he was talking about.

Andrew shook his head, frowning.

"Eh...Andrew? Why were you sleeping?"

"I was bored, nothing less." Andrew lied, shrugging.

"Liar," Tommy frowned. "So...can anyone tell me why? Because Andrew won't."

Fine. I was feeling tired after Marley slapping me...right Marley?" Andrew asked, giving her a pleading look.

Marley
"Ah, yea, I accidentally sent a little /too/ much pain to his mind when I slapped him the last time, and it tore a bit of his soul. Nothing a little R&R didn't fix, though. Sorry about that again, Andy" I said, giving him what looked like an apologetic smile.

"It's fine," said Andrew. He sighed, thankful she helped him.

Tommy looked from Marley to Andrew, doubting for a moment. He shook his head, " Fine."

Ezra walked into the room, holding a cup of coffee. "What goes on?" he yawned, his black hair slightly desheveled.

Peter

"Not much," I told him, breaking a rather long silence on my part. "It's been pretty uneventful in here."

"Looks like it...hey Tommy," Ezra sighed. "Did you all sleep in here?"

((Pretend that Peter left and came back.))

Peter

I kept my hands out in front of me, walking slowly and moving my hands about. This blackness...I wasn't used to it yet. I was pretty sure that there was a couch here, but--

"Oof!"

I found myself falling and hitting the floor. At least it was carpeted. I raised my head, reaching about in the space around me and trying to figure out where I was. I didn't have a detailed enough memory of the furniture in here to get a perfectly accurate picture...argh.

Cricket
I walked in, face blank, and immediatly sat down on a couch. Silently, I pulled a knee up against my chest and rested my chin on it. "I will never be able t' gut a fish again."

Marley
I walked over to Peter silently, grabbing the hand that he's reaching around with and helping him to his feet. Then I lead him over to the couch where he could sit, my eyes dark with grief. My friends were dying slowly and painfully. And I wasn't e en there with them

Peter

I was getting helped. Praise the gods.

"Thank you," I said to the mystery individual as he or she guided me along. "Um...who is this?" I sat down.

Cricket
"Marley," I answered for her, noticing Peter for the first time. I tried to think of something else to say, but . . . the guy just got his eyes ripped out, and mentioning it would only be a reminder . . . What was there to say?

Marley
"Yea, Marley" I half mumbled, biting my lip. A habit I thought I broke when I was like, ten.

Peter

"Oh," I said. "Then thank you, Marley. And hello Cricket."

Voices...those were good; they let me know who was in the room. I suddenly found myself feeling jealous of Mr. Face. As crazy as that sounded...hey. The guy had echolocation. He wasn't truly blind...not like me. Marley sounded troubled, though.

"Er, what's wrong, Marley?"

Marley
"I just don't... like... seeing you andnCrick like this" I muttered, closing my eyes "and I should be there with you guys"

Peter

"Oh no you shouldn't," I told her firmly. "Just the two of us being there is bad enough! We don't need you tangled in this mess, too. Really...don't feel guilty or anything."

Cricket
"Aye . . . not your fault," I added. "Believe me, it's bad enough 'aving T.Mor and Peter in this mess. Th' 'ast thing on Erf I would want is for you t' be there, too. So . . . if you really want t' 'elp, know that you're doing that now by staying out of it."
