Sound of Madness

Demi stayed sitting up when he laid down. She didnt want to pressure him into the relationship or anything.

"Dont worry, I will." Derek teased her softly.

Devon stood up after a minute, anyway. "I think I should go think on this on my own for awhile."

"You're lucky that I can't punch very hard," Carly said.

"oh...alright." Demi sighed as he stood up.

"Like you would punch me," Derek laughed lightly, a teasing smile still on his face.

Devon glanced at her one last time before leaving the room. He headed out the door to go for a walk.

"Dickwad comments usually get punches. But I guess it doesn't count as a dickwad comment if you're my..." Carly paused. "Boyfriend."

Demi finally let the tears flow freely when he left her room. SHe curled on her new bed and burrowed her face in the pillow.

"Are we using titles now?" Derek asked, raising an eyebrow.

Carly's eyes widened a little bit. "Oh, um, not if you don't want to. No. We're not. I meant my friend...that's a boy...yeah. That."

Derek kissed her softly. "I dont mind the title." He told her softly.

Butterflies turned in Carly's stomach and she smiled. "You sure?"
She kind of wondered why he'd questioned it then.
But whatever.

"Yea. I'm fine." Derek smiled to her, the wide smile reaching his eyes.

"It just seems like it would make sense to use titles," Carly said with a shrug.

Derek nodded to her. He kissed her cheek quickly, seeing as she always commented on how they were in public whenever he kissed her.

(I don't know why but that made me laugh xD)

"I should probably go back soon," Carly said.

"Yeah...You probably should." Derek sighed.

"What time are you going to come later?" Carly asked.

"After dark. I'm going to have to be on foot because my bike will be to loud." Derek warned her. "So, i'll be there as so as I can once night falls."

"You're going to walk...in the dark...all the way from your friend's house?" Carly said disbelievingly.

"I'll be fine. He doesnt live far from the house." Derek reasured her.

"If you say so...See you then." Carly gave him a quick hug then swam over to the edge and got out of the pool.

Derek pulled himself out of the pool after her and walked over to her stuff with her.

"Do you need something?" Carly said in amusement as she pulled her shirt and shorts over her swimsuit.

"Yes," derek murmured softly before kissing her one last time. He pulled away and smiled to her, taking a step back. "See you tonight."

Carly blushed by rolled her eyes and turned to go. "See ya, Der." She walked out of the pool and hopped on her bicycle.

Derek waved to her as she left. His friend came up to him. "That your girl?"
"Yeah." Derek chuckled, but went back to swimming.

Devon came back from his walk, thinking of videogames as usual.
Demi was still on his mind, though

Demi left her room finally and went into the bathroom to wash the tears from her face. She walked down into the living room with her book and started reading.
