Re: AD...don't lock this again please
Hunter gave a small nod, willing her heart to slow. "I-I just got...uneasy." She muttered looking down at her hands. "Like I said earlier, I'm a little new at this. I've only had three charges..." she didn't tell him what happened to those charges though. She looked up at him, "you gonna show me your other two places?"

I give a small, encouraging smile. "Yeah. Phone first, remember." I get out and look around the street out of habit. I lock the car once Hunter gets out and look up at her. "You can fly, if it'll calm you. I won't be gone long, and she's a trustworthy girl."

Lorrick reached out and whipped away the tear with his finger, his voice layered with worry. "Kylia, c'mon' love," he whispered. "Please, I have to know you're alright."

Hours creep by as usual, I blink awake with the sun, sitting up again. It's usually far too early for a human though. I simply wait for Ben, still aware of any danger.

Kylia flinched from his hand, her eyes opening, but refusing to look at him. They were dead. Nothing in them, not even a spark of her oldself.
Hunter shook her head. "I'll come." She followed him quietly, hiding her wings so she blended in.

I nod, pocketing my keys and leading the way down the street to the number sixty nine house. I pause at the door, hand on the knob, glancing back at Hunter. "Don't...touch anything," I warn, opening the door and stepping in.
The house relatively normal but for odd contraptions on any surface. Always tinkering...
"Hey Elise!" I call, looking around.
There was a slight clatter from her work room in the back. "Caleb, damn it -" A muffled string of curses sounded behind the door before it opens, and she glares at me her red hair fiery. "Don't you ever knock?"
"You never hear," i counter with a smile, folding my hands behind my back. She catches sight of Hunter though, throwing her hands into the air silently the next moment, disappearing back into her work room without another word.

Lorrick studied her fface, his hand hesitating over her cheek. He saw the hurt there, the betrayle, and he had been the one who put it there. His heart twisted in his chest as he dropped his hand to his side and sat back in the chair, although every part of his body wanted to hold her, comfort her.... "He's dead," he murmured softly, studying her face. "Landon I mean. He won't bother you any more."

Ben woke up and quickly showered before walking into the living room. His hear was still wet from the water, and he was wearing a pair of old jeans and an old shirt. When he saw that Malakai was up, he stopped short, his eyebrows raised. "How long have you been up?"

Hunter keeps her hands deep in her pockets, her eyes darting around the room.
"It doesn't matter." Kylia murmered. "They'll never leave me alone." Her eyes still dead, she turned her face away from him and curled up on her side, despite the pain it caused.

Lorrick swallowed hard, his hand reaching out to touch her once more before dropping to his side again. "About what I said," he murmured, his eyes on her back, silently begging her to look at him. "You have to know that I didn't mean it. If I said anything else, the GWC would have taken me away, given you another angel..." His voice trailed off at the thought, making him wince slightly.

"Never really slept," i say, fixing the blankets and standing up straight afterwords, looking back to him for any orders.
Caleb
I glance back at Hunter a moment before walking to the door. "Elise," i say lightly, peaking in with a mischievous smile.
"This the next grand adventure then?" She murmurs, fitzing with something on the table.
"I like to think of it that way, yes." She looks up at me sceptically, a bit of grease on her cheek. "Have I mentioned how - "
"Oh cut the flattery. What do you want?"
I chuckle. "You know me too well. Just a cell phone, then I'll be on my way."
She sighs, rolling back on her chair to a cabinet and opening a drawer, tossing me one. "Don't come back here again," she says, pointing a screwdriver at me threateningly.
"Alright, then," I say. "Next Monday then? I know this lovely little restaurant...." I get a smile out of her and walk back, gesturing back to the door.

Hunter watched him, her brow still raised from his conversation with...Elise? She debated on whether she'd have to do a background check on the girl or not as she followed him, staying quiet like a good angel should.
Kylia reluctantly turned to look at him, a small spark hiding somewhere deep in her dead eyes. She searched his face, unsure if she could trust him. "Ok."

Ben raised his eyebrows at her, starting up the coffee machine. "And you aren't tired? At all?"

"How are you feeling?" Lorrick asked softly, sitting on the edge of his seat again, his voice wavering slightly. He watched her closely, wanting to bring the life back into her eyes, wanting to see the spark that he saw only a few times before.

"I rested. I didn't sleep. Don't really need to, so no." I sit down on the made bed, pulling a pillow into my lap.
Caleb
I walk out of the apartment, offering the phone to Hunter after a moment. "Basic and easy. My number's the only one in there, so just click send if you need to reach me."

"Dead." Kylia murmered. "Heavy." It was true, she felt both of those things. She knew they probably weren't the things he wanted to hear. Another tear rolled down her cheek.
Hunter took the phone carefully, as if she might break it. She looked at the buttons, quickly finding the one that said send, and put the phone into her pocket. "Why do I need a phone?" She asked as she got into the car.

"In case something happens and we get separated. You said you needed a way to know where I went. Which house or some other place," i say, walking down the street with her.

Hunter raised a brow. She had said that...though at the moment she didn't think they'd ever get seperated. "Now you are showing me your other places?"

I nod, walking next to her, paying no attention to whatever looks other pedestrians gave us. "one's right down here." I gesture down the block,

Re: AD...don't lock this again please
Hunter furrowed her brow. It seemed a little close to the other place, but she didn't say anything. She focused on keeping up with his long stride, the hot concrete burning the bottom of her feet. Not that she minded, she actually thought it felt good because her feet were always cold.

Three blocks down was a brick house, a small alleyway to the left, connected to another house like it to the right. I step up on the doorstep and take out my keys again, finding the right one and opening the door for her. A basic house, all the furniture in cool colors with wood floors and lightly colored walls. Not very lived in looking at the moment, though I usually switched it around every two months or so.

Re: AD...don't lock this again please
Hunter walked in, examining the house as she wandered it, memorizing the floor plan, where everything was. She made sure to keep a mental map of how to get to the house as well before she walked back to Caleb. "It's nice."

I nod, watching her go through the house amused. "Glad you like it," i say back, slight smile on my face.

Re: AD...don't lock this again please
Hunter looked up at him, then back at the house, then back at him. "Now where?" She asked. They couldn't spend much time in one spot, it wasn't safe. At least not when it came to showing off your alternate houses. Someone might be watching.
