The Facility

After he removed the thorns he took off his shirt and tore it into strips. He then proceeded to tie them around her leg to stop the bleeding.

Kylia watched him and blushed slightly. "Thanks." She murmered

Brandon stood with a smile. "Welcome."

Kalya frowned, "I- I don't know."

"Yes you do." Jess said. He knew when Kayla was lying, and now she was. He brightened the light in the room a bit more, chasing away whatever was in there with them.

Kylia stood, wincing at her wing. It was sprained. She frowned at it. Now she wouldn't be able to put it away, or use it. She sighed looking slightly dejected.

Brandon noticed her problem and shrugged, sweeping her off her feet carefully not touching her hurt wing. "Where to?"

Kalya sighed in relief as the ghost left. Tears pricked her eyes and she turned away without a word, a few objects shooting out of her way. She threw herself on the bed. "Sorry." She muttered into the pillow.

Jess sighed and sat on the bed next to her, rubbing her back. "It's alright." He murmered.

Kylia gasped, holding tight to his neck. "I'm not handicapped!" she squeaked, color filling her cheeks. "I was just going to go for a walk. I don't know where to yet."

Kalya was silent for a moment before managing to say, "What's going to happen Jess?"

Brandon chuckled and started walking, "Alright. "

Kylia looked at him. He was still carrying her. "Where are we going?"

"What do you mean?" Jess asked, his voice gentle.

Brandon shrugged, "I dunno."

Kalya looked up, tears still on her cheeks. "This keeps happening, I know I wont get out of here. But you can be normal, they'll let you go....what will I do then? Cole tries to help, but he gets all worked up and worried. He can't make them go away."

Jess chuckled and shook his head. "I'm not getting out of here any time soon Kayla. I stole somebody's soul remember? Ripped it to shreds with the pure intent of doing so."

Kylia glanced at him and shrugged, wincing slightly as it tugged at the muscles in her wing.

Taylor: I smiled, "Of course!"

Kalya cracked a smile, "True." She pulled herself into a sitting position on the bed.

Brandon walked down the hall until it came to a end, then got a wicked smile. "Are you scared of the dark? "

Kylia looked at him. In truth she was. She new what shadows could do thanks to Jess. He had lost his temper with her one time and...it didn't turn out so well. "No." she replied as she looked at him and raised her brow. "Why?"

Jess smiled down at her, his hand still on her back. "It's going to be ok. Kay. I promise."

Kalya wiped her tears away. "Thanks. "

Brandon grinned, "Cause I know about this." He pressed his hand against a wooden panel and a door popped out on the other side of the hall.

"anytime Kay, you know that." Jess said as he rubbed her back gently.

Kylia raised her brow at him and shrugged. "Well then lets go."

Kalya smiled and laid her head on his shoulder, "I know."

Brandon pushed the door open to reveal a pitch black hall.

Kylia stared at it, her eyes a little wider, her heart racing wildly. She tightened her grip on Brandon. "Where does it go?"

Jess nodded. "Good." He said as he held her, making sure to keep the room bright.

Brandon thought for a moment. '"I'm not completely sure. I haven't been all the way through it."

Kalya didn't know when it happened but she fell asleep in his arms.

Jess fought to keep the room bright as he leaned back against the wall holding Kayla's sleeping form. It was draining a bunch of his energy. He still hadn't quiet recovered from the day in the gardens. Oh well.

Kylia looked at Brandon then back to the hall. "You won't let go of me, right?"

Brandon frowned, "Of course not."

Kalya slept peacefully, once again dreaming of Jess as a knight.

"O-ok. Let's go." Kylia said as she stared at the hall.

Jess fought to stay awake, wondering where Cole was.

Cole sighed on his bed, and made the flames die down. He looked around at the damage he'd done to his room. It almost looked as bad as Kalya's. He chuckled under his breath and stood. Guess he should go check on her, it'd been a week since he took away that knife. She'd probably found something else.

Brandon chuckled lightly and held onto her as he started down the hall.

Kylia clung to him tightly as she fought off the fear that tried to eat at her and make her feel suffocated. "Goodness..it's a long hallway." She murmered.

Jess watched the door for a bit, the light starting to come in bright waves and then die down a little. He was running low.

Brandon chuckled again, "Yeah i-," He cut off as the door swung shut behind them.

Cole walked into Kalya's room without knocking, "Hey little-" he saw Jess and Kalya. "Oh." He stopped in the doorway.

Jess looked up at him and forced himself to sit up, blinking. His face was a little pale, obviously drained of energy. He held up a large thorn. "I found her with this." he muttered as the bright light faltered, surging.

Kylia froze, her heart racing as she clung to him tighter. "Brandon?" She squeaked. "You know how I said I wasn't afraid of the dark?...well I lied."
