"I know" Artemis sighed, sinking into his arms contently

James smiled as he held her close, his fingers trailing up and down her spine. It gave him something to do, something to take his mind off the pain and all other unwanted thoughts.

Lark thought for a moment, "Yeah, she passed out after puking and she only agreed to eat if it was honey buns...."

(Imma about to pass out and for some reason this makes me want to make artemis fall asleep so i can live vicariously though her... i've gone looney, haven't I?)
Artemis shivered and nuzzled her head into his neck, careful not to cause pain "you should rest" she murmured

The healer watched him and nodded then looked back at the unconcious Sariah. "I believe she might be....pregnant...but I can't say for sure. But everything seems to point to that. She would be reaching the two month mark if she was."

James smiled and kissed her cheek. "I am resting." he chuckled.

Lark's eyes grew huge as he froze, shock taking over his features. She...was pregnant? "Is everything okay? I mean is she spose to pass out like this?" He asked worriedly.

Artemis sighed, a smile tugging at her lips "righhttt" she relented

James chuckled. "I am! I'm laying down, and doing nothing. That's resting."

The healer looked at him and shook her head. "She hasn't been eating which takes a toll on your body as it is. But with another life inside you, taking from your energy..." she trailed off and sighed as she watched him.

Lark's face lost any color it had. "Will, will they be okay?" He asked again.

The healer gave a small nod. "If we can get her to eat and drink. Otherwise, she'll just get worse until her body shuts down."

Lark nodded and dropped to his knees by her side. "I'll make sure she does everything she needs to do." He wiped a strand of hair from her face. "I can't lose you...." The words were so soft they were barely hear able.

Sariah stirred, pressing into his hand. Her eyes fluttered open and looked at him, gave a small smile, then they started to drop close again.

Mehina was by her tent. "Hurry up child! We have to be ready to go before the cold months! I swear you're slower than a sloth." the old woman grumbled.

((avery, you can have your guy be Lark's apprentice if you'd like since he's a black smith...is that ok bells?))

"Guess what Sariah?" He said softly with a smile at her.

((you sure?))

"What?" Sariah asked with a weak, tired whisper. Her eyes closed again.

((Yep ))

Lark hesitated, he could wit to tell her. "You're pregnant."

Sariah's eyes flew open, searching his face. "Don't lie to me." she said sternly, her voice still a tired, weak whisper. She wanted desperately to believe him, but she wasn't sure if she could.

Lark frowned, "would I lie to you?"

"No." Sariah said after a long moment of contemplation. She watched him, tears pricking at her eyes. "are we really?"

Lark nodded, "Yeah, but Sariah ...."

Sariah watched him and prepared for him to tell her she had lost it or something. Preparing for him to say he was leaving. "What Lark?"

"If you don't start eating and sleeping like you should, both you and the baby could die." His eyes begged her to understand.

Sariah watched him for a long moment, trying to decide if this was just some rouse to get her to eat. "Ok." She finally said with a nod. "I'll eat."

Lark smiled gratefully, "Ill grab you some honey buns on the way back to the tent. The healer said you were about two months along."

Sariah's hand floated to her stomach nodding. She wondered how she didn't notice, especially when it had been so obvious when...colton.....She pushed the thought away and sighed. Looking back, she realized all the signs, but remembered all the excuses she had come up for it.
