Till Death Do Us Part..

Artemis fell asleep that night with all the mirrors covered by blankets. She really wasn't in the mood to see that unearthly mark adorned on her forehead. She slept restless, her mind still trying to process all it had learned

((I have to go, I won't be back till later tonight, I'm going to see Oedipus Rex, see ya))

Mark growled and looked at the wound on Brendon's cheek and quickly doctored him up and then fixed the door, running a hand through his hair. "I'll keep watch tonight. Make sure no more come." he murmered. Brendon fell asleep.

The next morning Mark was still awake, staring at nothing though his ears strained for noise, any sound that searchers might be approaching.

Grace had curled up in the corner of the room all night. She didn't need sleep so why bother? Her eyes nervously watching everyone.

Artemis awoke and forced herself out of bed. She didn't want to emerge from her comfy covers, she wanted to forever more hide from the strange world that boy exposed her to. but there was not hiding from it, she was already part of it. She forced herself to get ready and head out. where she was going, she did not know. she just wanted to run. And run she did. it felt great

Brendon woke and looked at his brother. "Come on man. Get some sleep." he said gripping his shoulder. "You been up all night."
"Nah. I'm fine." Mark muttered and stood. "I'ma go get some breakfast, you want anything?"
"Uh, ya. Breakfast burrito grande from the burrito bus."
"Alright. I'll be back." Mark said and left the garage, his hands deep in his pockets as he walked.

Brendon ran a hand through his hair and sighed looking over at the two girls in the corner. "Please tell me you two are in better moods than my brother."
Bridget stared at him and shrugged. "I'm in a fair mood."

Artemis let the exertion of her muscles fill her thoughts as she pushed herself faster, jogging through town. the wind whipped her dark hair around her and her clothing clung to her thin frame as she block out everything but the thrill of the run

Grace nodded, "Yeah, I'm in an okay mood."

Mark had his eyes trained on the sidewalk when someone barreled into him, knocking the wind out of him and hitting him in the soft spot. He groaned, doubling over.

Brendon smiled widely at Grace. "Know anything about cars?"
Bridget rolled her eyes. "Here we go again.."

Artemis fell to the ground, the impact severely disorienting her. What had she hit? A wall? She massaged her head and looked to a groaning form in front of her. Oh. Whoops.
"mark? oh my goodness, I'm so sorry!" she moved to help him up

"Don't touch me," Mark muttered, trying to regain a little bit of his manly-ness back as his voice squeaked slightly. "Jeeze Artemis, I swear you've knocked me sterile." He said, trying to ease the roll of his stomach and remove the black spots from his vision.

Artemis giggled at his words, not able to help herself "and now we're even" she chirped, helping him stand up straight "you okay?"

Mark groaned as he stood, blinking furiously, still in pain. "Oh, ya. sure. Just, you know. Lost at least three generations of children but hey, who's counting?" His stomach rolled again and he frowned.

Artemis's lips twitched "apparently you" she eyed him, becoming serious "you sure you're okay? can I get you something? A ice pack maybe?"

"Oh, no. no. I'm fine." Mark said as he took a few deep breaths. "Where were you going in such a hurry?"

Grace grinned, "I've had to find something to do with all this time. I love cars "

Artemis flushed crimson "no where" she replied, feeling all the more guilty for running him over

Brendon's smile widened. "I'm restoring an old Shelby Mustang." He said proudly.

"You were running like a bat out of hell...to go..nowhere.." Mark looked at her for a minute. "Interesting." he turned and started to limp down the sidewalk.

Grace grinned, "Awesome!" She stood, "Can I help?"

Artemis stared after him for a moment and cursed herself as she found her legs bringing her besides him "where are you going?"
And I thought she liked being a loner...

"To get some breakfast and some caffeen to wake me up, but I think you did a very good job at the last part." Mark said as he continued down the sidewalk.

Brendon's smile got even bigger. "Where have you been all my life?" he chuckled. "I'd love it if you helped me!"

Artemis resisted the urge to giggle "oh" she slowed, "well I suppose I'll just leave you to your errands" She turned, letting her hair fall back over her face as she started out in the other direction

Grace tried not to blush as she walked towards him. "What all needs done?"

As soon as she left, Mark found the nearest garbage can and emptied the meger(sp?) belongings of his stomach.

"Well, I'm still working on rebuilding the engine." Brendon said as he walked over to an engine block that was sitting on the counter.
