"Nah. She's not stupid. She won't try anything till night fall. She hates drawing unwanted attetion." Mark said as up ahead he saw many versions of Brendon's garage.

Brendon came back with a triumphant smirk with all the parts they would need. "I think I got everything."

Artemis scoffed "her? not want attention? why do I find that hard to believe?" her thoughts flashed back to how the girl had... fondled Mark and her jaw clenched

"Ah, but that's a different sort of attention." Mark muttered as they made their way through the door. Brendon looked up as he saw Mark collapse on the couch and his eyes got wide as he rushed over. "What happened?"
"Nellie is what happened. She's found us again."
'*****" Brendon growled and shook his head. "What are we going to do?"
"Well..not much we really can do. Either run, or wait till she leaves."

Grace smiled and went over to check out the stuff.

Artemis remained silent, not sure what to say or do

"well it's not like we can go anywhere with you lookin like that." Brendon grumbled as he looked at him. He sighed and ran a greasy hand through his already mucked up hair, thanks to Grace. "We wait it out until you're better." He grumbled.
"what about the searchers? I found the ghost that rats us out, but who knows."
"We'll wait it out a few days." Brendon repeated and went back to his engine. Mark didn't argue much after that. He glanced at Artemis and flashed a small smile.
"thank you."

Artemis nodded, trying hard not to stare at his mark adorned on his face "no problem, I suppose I should be going..."

Mark watched her and his face etched into concern. "Maybe you should wait until one of us can walk you home, or someone can pick you up."

Artemis was about to protest but stop- there was reason in his words... huh
"alright" she relented, ducking behind her hair and situating herself in the corner

Mark watched her for a moment and closed his eyes, starting to fall asleep. "you alirght?" he asked Artemis, not wanting to draw attention to her that she didn't want.

Grace backed into the corner of the room. She didn't like being around so many people. Even if she knew all but one of them.

Artemis resisted the urge to itch her palm "me? yeah. I'm not the whose lost his manly-hood"

Mark smirked. "True. But still. You sure you're alright?" his voice was filled with concern.

Brendon saw Grace retreat and he sighed and wiped his hands off and went over and sat by her. "You alright?"

Mark chuckled. "at least it wasn't some sadistic masochistic woman." he thought for a moment. "Good thing I showed up huh?"

Artemis dipped her chin "indeed, thank you"

"Thank you...again.." Mark said just before he passed out.

Artemis sighed and pulled her legs up to her chin, wrapping her arms around them as if the motion would protect her from the world. what had she gotten herself into?

Mark woke a few hours later and groaned as he sat up, rubbing his face. "I feel like I got hit by a bus." he grumbled.

Artemis chuckled and looked up "would you like some ice?"

"Yes please." Mark said as he leaned over, holding his head. "And if you could find some really big pain killers that would be awesome."

Artemis's lips twitched and she walked aimlessly into their house. Finding the kitchen, she rummaged through the freezer and pulled out a generous amount of ice. Snatching Advil off the windowsill she made her way back "here" she tossed her findings to him

Mark took it, his body tensing as he put the ice where he needed it most. He took two Advil and sighed, his body still tense from the ice. "so..your dad doesn't like me much, does he?"
