Artemis stared at his hand for a moment. She wanted to take it.. she really did. But he was a boy. A boy's touch.. hurt. She took one look around and fled. the whole thing becoming a little to much for her

"Conforting," Capria muttered. "Do you know how to get out of here?" She asked, though he probably did, if had had come inside already.

"Uh...yes." Brendon said hesitantly. "Yes I do."

Mark followed her silently, making sure to keep his distance, give her space.

Artemis quickly found self under the night sky, curled in a ball around herself. She bit her lip, trying to silence the silent cries and soft shakings of her body

"Is there anyway you can show me that way out?" Capria asked with a raised eyebrow. Her hands were shaking by her sides and her face was flushed, but she tried to keep her voice steady. Really, she was still scare. She was to the point that much longer in here and she'd start crying.

Allen stirred, and rose. Noticing they were all still here he growled under his breath and crept into the shadows. Down the hall he went to the only room they hadn't gotten to yet that held a prisoner. "Come on." He growled ripping them from the bed and slipping out the door of the house unnoticed.

Mark kept his distance. "Are you alright Wendy?"

Brendon gave a small nod. "come on." he said, leading her towards the door.

Artemis swallowed hard and stared down at his mark as it lit up her palm "i-i will be" she replied, trying hard to make her words true

"what would you like me to do to help?" he asked, his voice filled with concern

hold me? no.. she couldn't.. She yearned for his touch but the yearn and the end result were never the same. her stomach tossed in protest at the thought. "don't.. don't leave me?" she begged, forcing her stiff limbs out of the fetal position

Mark walked over to her and sat beside her, but still kept a little distance between them to keep her from being uncomfortable. "I'll never leave you, Wendy."

Artemis nodded, still trying to believe his word "is, is everyone okay?"

"as far as I know." He said

Artemis nodded and wiped away her tears, feeling angry with herself "level one?" she squeaked. "what's going on?"

Mark ran a hand through his hair. "There seems to be.." he cleared his throat. "A breach. At the gate. More and more spirits are coming through than should be."

"A- a breach? gate?" Artemis asked, feeling unsettled

Mark rub the back of his head and sighed. "Ya..you see. There's this gate that keeps spirits from coming back once they've crossed over. Normal spirits don't mind staying there but..the evil ones.." He trailed off slightly. "Apparently the searchers gotten..blood thirsty I guess you could say....and I have it on good authority that the Queen of Shades is attempting to open the gate way..so they can..you know...extinguish them all."

"queen of shades?" artemis repeated dumbly

Mark nodded. "Sara." he muttered, looking at the ground, his eyes seeming to loose their light for a minute.
