Till Death Do Us Part..

A small groan escaped his lips, but other than that he was out cold.

Artemis bit her lip and tenitivity scooted closer "m-mark?" she reached out and poked him, quickly snapping her hand back

"artemis, I'm sorry.." Marks' body was still out cold.

"1890?" she repeated, her tone neither confused or accusing, just... plaintive

"Ya," his voice sighed. "Brendon too. We've been around for awhile. You see, what happened was that....when they came to take Sarah...they ripped not only our parents...but us as well..Mediators came. They killed some of the searchers but the others got away with sarah. They told us they needed brave souls like ours for an experiment. So, we let them. They fused out souls and bodies back together. But as a side affect, our souls were so tightly connected that we became our souls in a sense. Immortal. When searchers try and take my soul now, it's nigh impossible and it hurts like hell. Thus the blonde hair. It was originally brown. But ya.."

Artemis recoiled slightly. "you're immortal?"

"In a sense." His voice sighed, sounding sad and slightly hallow. It was obvious he didn't like the thought.

She tentatively poked him again "you gunna wake up?"

"My body is sort of...shut down for a moment...it's been more than a month since it last slept. But I'll see what I can do." Mark said, and retreated from the conversation.

Artemis pushed herself back into his head "no.. it's fine. sleep. you need it. ... a month? seriously? why a month?"

"I've been protecting you." Mark stated simply, seeming slightly distracted as he tried to get his body to wake up.

Artemis nudged him, feeling what he was doing "stop it. you need sleep. sleep. I'll be fine"

Mark's voice seemed to frown. "But...but.." he tried to think of a cohesive argument...but nothing was coming to mind. "fine." he grumbled.

Artemis retreated from his mind, trying hard to organize her thoughts.

Mark felt her retreat and then went back to trying to figure out how to make his body continue to work.

Artemis soon fell asleep as well, her body prompt up against the table

ha ha! Mark thought as his body woke and he settled back into it again. He sat up and looked at Artemis and sighed, picking her up and carrying her from the house and back towards the garage. It was never good to stay in one place for to long. He just hoped she wouldn't wake up and freak out, he wasn't sure his body would be able to handle the strain.

Artemis stayed passed out, her head lolling against his chest

Capria followed him out of the dimly lit room and squinted as the lights were much brighter in the next room. "What happened here?" She asked. "I mean, if you know... I heard lot of yelling and fighting."

"We were rescuing a friend." Brendon said as he led her out of the house.

Mark held her tight, his eyes darting around for any kind of danger as he walked into the garage and laid her on the couch. They could leave when she woke up.

Capria's eyes widened as they stepped outside. She hadn't seen so much light and color for... For a while. She shielded her eyes until they adjusted. Where did she go from here? She had no clue where sha had to be, where her family was. Or... If she even had family.

Artemis felt her setting change and quickly opened her eyes. She spotted mark and narrowed her gaze "why aren't you sleeping?"

Mark was sitting in the corner with his guitar. He looked up and smiled at her. "Well good morning sunshine." he said, ignoring her question.

Brendon looked at her. "Do you know where you're going from here?"
