Till Death Do Us Part..

Mark stared at her. "Eat. Now." He said determined. "My chest can wait. It's not like I can die. Well...I can...but it doesn't last more than a few minutes. But that's besides the point. Eat."

Artemis waved off the sandwich "I'm not hungry. anyway, you may not be able to die, but you can still get an infection. now hold still" She practically tackled him, trying to clean the wound

Mark growled, but complied with a sigh.

Artemis finished cleaning it and quickly treated backwards onto the bed, wrapping her arms around her legs and tucking them under her chin "you should sleep more" she commented

Mark watched her. "I'm fine. We should keep moving." He said as he forced himself to sit up. "Are you alright?"

"I am fine" Artemis quipped "at least get a few hours shut eye, we can leave in the morning"

Mark watched her. "I'm fine." He said again, though his body told him other wise. It was desperately wanting to take her up on the offer. But he couldn't sleep. He had to protect her.

Artemis frowned, stretching out her legs "if I promise to eat this burger will you consent to sleeping?"

Mark watched her for a moment then sighed and gave a small nod. "Alright." He was good at pretending to sleep.

Artemis crinkled her nose, eying the burger. she could always throw it up afterwards. She sighed and forced herself to eat it in slow, painful bites. "now sleep!" she demanded

Mark watched her and smiled, laying back he closed his eyes. His breathing started to slow until he looked like he was asleep, his body totally relaxed. In all reality though, he was awake, just listening.

Artemis gave a pleased nodded and slid off the bed, making her way into the bathroom and depositing her clothes as she stepped into the shower.
She let the hot water run down her face, soothing the tremors that emerged as she thought about the dream. the dream.. she shoved her fingers down her throat, forcing the meager meal to come up

Mark growled, hearing her throw up. He went to the bathroom door and knocked. "Are you alright in there?"

Artemis dry heaved one last time and whipped her mouth, quickly letting the water wash away the evidence "ya.. the food just didn't settle well"

For some reason, Mark highly doubted that. "You sure you're alright?" He called through the door.

"positive" she stepped out and quickly dried herself off, redressing and poking her head out the door. she raised an eyebrow "I thought you were suppose to be sleeping"

Mark shrugged. "Light sleeper." He muttered.

Artemis eyed him, for some reason, she highly doubted that he was sleeping at all. She stepped out, towel drying her hair "well head back to sleep again, mister" she chirped

"Not till you eat again, and don't throw it up." Mark said, folding his arms.

"I will in the morning, for now, I just want sleep" she sighed, splaying across the couch. "sleep, please?"

Mark watched her and shook his head. "No, you take the bed. I'll take the couch. I like couches better."

Artemis was already asleep, utterly exhausted despite all the sleep they had been getting

Mark sighed and stood, lifting her up and placing her in the bed, covering her with the covers, then took his spot on the couch and sat there, refusing to sleep.

Morning came and artemis unwillingly stirred, looking around confused as she found herself on the bed
