The Summer that changed my life forever...

(Shall the plane take off now?)

Brok: I reached over and took Dakota's hand.

(yesh)

Dakota: I glanced over at him and wove our fingers together, a slight smile on my face. I kept picturing my dad finding out before the plane took off and coming after me...not that he'd know where to look, but it was my imagination so anything went.

Brok: The plane was taking off, and I took some gum out of my pocket, offering her a piece. "Want one?"

Dakota: "Sure," I said, taking a piece. "Thanks." I felt relief as the plane/jet/whatever took off. He couldn't get to me now.

Brok: I started chewing my gum. "Once we've taken off, we can go play a game or something."

Dakota: I blew a bubble. "Alright!" I was suddenly much more energetic than before, ready to get out of my seat and do stuff with Brok. Er, play games, I mean. "I'm so excited. I get to tour with you guys for two weeks~ Well, I mean, get to tag along. Which is still cool enough."

Brok: I laughed. "Do you wanna go on stage? I can introduce you to the world," I said, grinning. "Then maybe people like that Bonnie girl or whatever her name was would leave me alone."

Dakota: "NO." I shook my head quickly. "I'm not going on stage. I'll be good with watching or whatever Kent wants me to do while you guys perform...I'll be his slave if it means I can stay with you ... all."

Brok: I sighed. "Kent's not gonna make you his slave. Just don't get in his way or annoy him and everything should be fine. Can I at least tell the press I really do have a girlfriend, though?"

Dakota: "If you want to," I said with a shrug. "For some reason I got the idea that you wanted to keep it a secret before...."

Brok: I sighed. "It's not that. It's just...Kent's not my favorite person to explain life to."

Dakota: "I wonder why," I said sarcastically, but then shrugged with an easy smile. "Whatever. I understand. Tell the press you have a girlfriend if you want to."

Brok: I nodded. "Alright. I'll talk to Kent about it later."

Dakota: I raised an eyebrow. "Talk to Kent about it? Why?"

Brok: "Well, he won't be happy about it if I just do whatever I want. You know that, right?"

Dakota: "Oh, right..." I trailed off.

Brok: I sighed. "Did I, uh, say something dumb again?"

Dakota: I shook my head. "No...?"

Brok: "Oh," I said. "Sorry."

(Skip ahead?)

(yeahh, to when?)

(Uh...a concert or something maybe? I dunno.)
