Evil is the new Black.

Mikey: I smiled merely because I didn't want to make any enemies. After all, I was running away. "I'm not entirely sure, actually. I was looking for a place to crash for the night. . .but I got lost. And I forgot my wallet on the bus."

Eric- "You can stay with us if you'd like. We were just headed home. There are plenty of guest rooms."

Laila- I was a little weary of Eric, acting so nice. That wasnt his style unless he was planning on using someone. But it was different with me. I truly believed he honesly cared about me, that the had to be some good in his heart somewhere.

Mikey: "Oh, thanks." I stared at my shoes, and I realized that my clothes looked like they haven't been washed in days. Guess that happens while you are on the run. I didn't Eric to be nice to me after we fell on the sidewalk.

Eric- "No problem. My place's just a short walk from here."

Laila- Eric walks a pace that I find very hard to keep up with, but I try my best. We go up to a huge building in the middle of New York. He owns the whole thing. No one guards the place, there's no need. If Eric doesnt want someone there, they dont get in. I follow him through the doors, and into a huge ,expensively decorated, room.

Mikey: I followed Eric, and I kept quiet. I didn't want to wreck any chance of shelter that I had, so I didn't say anything. I would speak if I had to, but for now, it was best to keep my mouth shut. I surveyed each area we walked through. Good, I wasn't being followed. . .

Laila- The place was always dark, and the decor was the same.

Eric- I walk up to the second floor, and show Mikey a few rooms, the kitchen ,bathroom, and such. Then I show him the guest room.It was one of my favorites, decorated in red and black, but nothing compared to Laila's or my room. "Basically, you can go anywhere you'd like. Need anything in particular, just ask one of the servants."

Mikey: "That sounds good. I've never seen a place like this before." I remembered how my old house used to look. I slightly chuckled, but then I stopped. "I hope I'm not bothering anyone." I realized that I should probably get some new clothes. "Do you think you have any clothes in this particular style?" I pointed to my leather jeans and plain black top. "I kind of wrecked them a while ago."

Eric- "In the closet. There should be plenty of that style in various sizes. Anything else?"

Mikey: "No, that's it. I'll just go change then." I brushed my black hair out of my eyes, and I went to the closet. I opened it, found my size of clothing, and pulled out my favorite type of clothes. I went to the bathroom, and I stared into the mirror. I looked like hell. . .

Laila- Back upstairs, in my room, I confront Eric. "What do you want with him?"

Eric- I wrap my arms around her and kiss the top of her head. "Laila, did you not see it? I know you have been studing. I believe Mikey may be more than he seems, perhaps a powerfull ally. In fact, I want you to try to be friends with him."

Laila- "Me?" I asked turning white.

Eric- "You have more compassion than me, more patience. This is important Laila. You made your choice, there's no going back now."

Mikey: I quickly changed my clothes, and I observed my new outfit in the mirror. "That actually looks better than I thought it would." I threw my old clothes in the trash, and I left the bathroom. Time to explore. . .

Eric- I pull her closer, knowing she cant resist, knowing I cant resist. "I know you can do it."

Laila- "I dont want to betray a friend."

Eric- "You wont be betraying him, just bringing him to the right side."

Laila- I sigh.

Eric- I pull her into a kiss. I'll be in the library. Have fun."

Mikey: Exploring wasn't really my thing, but it seemed better than staring at a wall all day. I turned down the hallway, hoping that I wouldn't get noticed by anyone. "What do they want with me anyway?" I muttered to myself as I shifted my sight to every possible location.

Laila- I sigh. I figure there's no better time to start than the present, I knew Eric could be hugely impatient. I quickly find him wandering down the hallway. I quietly walk up beside him. "Hey," I say quietly.

Mikey: "Oh, hi." I didn't want to be seen, but oh well. Things happen. "How are you?"

Laila- "Pretty good. How are you?"

Mikey: "I'm better now that I have some decent clothes."

Laila- "That's good. I hope you can find everything you need. What are you doing here, in New York, anyway."

Mikey: "Oh, well. I'm kind of running away from someone." I fidgeted with my hands, and I guess that was another habit. "I had no idea that I was even in New York."

Laila- "Must've been someone pretty important if it distracted you enough so you dont even know where you are."

Mikey: "Yeah, I just kind of wandered. Kind of suprising I didn't get picked up by the cops." I chuckled a bit. It was funny how short life was.

Laila- I laughed a little. "Why would you get picked up by the cops?"

Mikey: "Aimless wandering. I used to look like a hobo. Guess it's just something stupid that I thought of."

Laila- I laughed, "Not stupid, trust me. I'm the queen of stupid. Why so much wandering though? Would it have to do with the person you're running away from?"

Mikey: "Yeah. I ran away because the person is hunting me. I guess I haven't found a safe place yet." I paused. "And you aren't stupid . . .at least that I can tell anyway."
