Dragon's Blood

David:
I walked down the street. I see a girl walking down the street. (Celia) I nod to her as I pass.

Xavier kept walking and pulled his coat tighter around him as his eyes swept around him. He wasn't exactly paying very much attention to in front of him though.

James closed his eyes and relaxed. He knew he'd need to build his strentgh before they could torture him into giving them his Oath. He kept up the humming trying desperatly to remain calm and save his energy.

Nicola -

Celia closed her eyes and kept walking, trying to let the feel of the sun erase any fears that may linger in her body of the hunters. With a slight smile she relaxed and enjoyed the walk, then ran into someone.

Xavier opend his mouth to apologize, then froze. Pointed ears....he took a deep breath smelling dragon. His hand went to his knife.

Robyn: As I continued to step down the pavement, I heard a sharp "rip", and watched as all of my books fell out of my (now torn) book bag, and right in front of a random stranger (David?). "Sorry" I murmured, blushing profusely as I leaned down in a hurry to pick them up.

David:
I smiled and said, "Hello" to the girl. Pointed ears? Dragon? Perhaps, or perhaps a Hunter playing a trick.

Celia fell backwards onto the sidewalk, her eyes going wide as she realized exactly what he was. She scambled back and turned, darting to her feet as she took off down the sidewalk.

Xavier took off after her. His sleves hiding a dagger in his left hand. His eyes dart around making sure no one was around.

James finnaly fell asleep as his humming died away, though the memories followed him into his dreams.

Celia darted down the block, not willing to lead him to her house. That would be a bad idea. She finally settled for running into the park, her small form easily slipping into the thick forest edge inside the gates of the small park. She paused in a particuarly thick, dark area and tried to remain quiet enough not to be found. Her heart beating rapidly as her eyes moved fearfullly from side to side.

Xavier went to the trees, giving him a view below him. He finnaly came upon the dragon and circled about in the trees almost silently. He paused for a second. Fear wasn't somthing he found in very much dragons. He didn't have a dragon of his own to aid him....he wasn't exactly fond of the idea of using this one for that purpose, but she'd have to do. He jumped from his branch and laneded in a crouch silently.

Celia spun around, her eyes going wide as she took a step backwards. He'd fingers rubbed her wrist that the thin scar around it as she took a step back. Now instead of fear she felt determination run through her veins as she changed into a medium sized Muron(sp) dragon and snarled. Fear was still running its course through her but she was being careful not to show it.

Xavier smirked. Much better. He took a step forward then stop. Why not test her? If she was strong enough he'd make her give the oath. If not he'd kill her. He lunged at her in a blink of an eye, his dagger glinting wickedly in the sun's light.

Celia flinched but instead of backing away she Bared her teeth and snapped at the blade, swiping a claw at him as she did. She wasn't about to go down easily. That wasn't her way.

Xavier anticiapted the move and jumped to the side, in the same movement he landed in front of her and dove under her belly. He brought the dagger up, froze then turned it to where it was flat and slapped it hard up under her, he then dove out from under her. "Tsk, tsk. Too slow."

Celia hissed and backed away, her eyes watching him wearily as she moved away as much as possible in the thick brush. He seemed to be a better fighter, she raised a fearful claw and prepared to swing again, out of pure stubbornness not willing to admit she wasn't going to win.

Xavier scowled slightly. Timid little thing...not the most scrawniest one he's met, but she'd have to do. He gave a loud sigh. "Why don't you just submit to me and we can get on with our lives? We know who's going to win here. You'll get to keep your life." He slowly started to approach her.

Robyn: I looked at his face, slightly bewildered that he had actually stopped to say hi. "Hi there" Came back my nervous voice. Being shy definitely put a damper on my social skills. As my mind became a tad more focused though, I realized it...he was a dragon. The devil that rested on my shoulder said "take the opportunity, capture him!". The angel that sat on my other shoulder instead said "Let him go, he seems to nice!". I froze, what was I going to do??

Celia would've scowled if able instead she growled at him and darted forward to bite him, there was no way she was giving up. Even though she did indeed know who would win. She would rather die then be caught. The end results were better with death.

Xavier dodged to the side and ended up landing on her back he used her scales to climb up to her ears. He grabbed on, put the dagger on the soft point behind it and leaned down to whisper. "Give me to Oath."

Celia growled and tried to Buck him off, but her heart was sinking with defeat. "No." Her growly word was firm, showing none of the fear she felt.

Xavier's hand tightend on the dagger as he prepared to slay her, but froze. "I'm giving you one last chance."

Celia hesitated, and suddenly changed back to human, trying to slip away. "Why?" She asked softly.

Xavier slid the dagger to her throat. "I need a partner, a dragon to make tracking and killing your kind easier. Now, please give an Oath to me to serve me so I don't have to slit your pretty throat."

Celia felt tears prick her cheeks, the only comforting thought being that she wasn't a good fighter. Most of her kind would beat her in a second. With a single tear slipping down her cheek she gave in and gave him the oath.

Xavier pulled the knife away with a sigh of relief. He frowned seeing her tears but didn't say anything. He turned away. "Follow me." He started walking into the forest.
