James and Zeus's head shot up at the same time. Zeus's ears pinned back at the other stallion, but James nudged his side, warning him not to fight. "The name's James, and this is Zeus." He took off his hat and wiped at his head.

Drake leaned against Herme's stall door. "I'm racing. Quarter horse racing of course. I can't stand riding english, and Hermes here is Quarter horse, use to be a show horse."

Eliza nodded and patted Hades neck when he whinnied. "Nice to meet you James. Zeus is beautiful." She smiled at him. "What kind of riding do you do?" She asked curiously.

Luna: I nodded. "Im not huge on western. Ive tried it, but i prefer english myself. I like jumping, especially jumping high." i said. "Titan's an Oldenburg. We used to do eventing but i decided to take a break from cross country and focus a bit more exclusively on my show jumping and dressage. Cross country is just something i do for fun." i said.

James nodded. "Thanks. So is Hades." He looked at the black horse and patted Zeus as he became a bit agitated.

Drake grinned. "I love doing cross country, though I do prefer my racing and trail riding. I love being able to camp and wake in the morning, eat, then set off on the trails. The sights are beautyful."

Eliza smiled. "You're welcome and thanks. Is there an arena for practicing barrel racing?" She looked at him curiously and waited for his answer. She glanced down at Hades and patted his neck in a reassuring way.

Luna: I nodded. "Trail riding is fun. Less comfortable with an english saddle, but still fun." i said. I enjoyed trail riding and had done multi-day rides and camp outs before.

James gestured to the arena. "We're in it. I'll go get the barrels." He placed the hat back on his head to block out the sun and rode Zeus towards a shed. I slid off and Zeus waited pationtly outside. I dragged three barrels out and put them all in place. I then remount Zeus and ride back in.

Drake grinned. "We go on trail rides here once a week. My bro James is now going to lead. We pack our things and ride our horses out to this beauiful spot near this lake."

Eliza nodded. "Thank you James." She exercised Hades a bit while he was gone and looked up when he came back in. A small smile was on her lips; she could practice one of her favorite things.

Luna: I grinned. "Sounds awesome. Dressage especially is super high discipline so its good for Titan and i to take a break. Stress is a bad thing." i remarked, glancing back at my currently content horse.

Drake nodded. "It is." He walked past her to the tack room and tossed his brush back with the other brushes.

James remounted Zeus and rode near the fence, watching curiosly. James moved his body with Zeus's, somthing after years of riding he knew well.

Eliza moved and started practicing. Her lips had curved themselves into a smile as she rode and Hades responded to her every move. This was what her life was about, riding and horses. Outside of riding and horses she was the kind of girl who was more quiet and kept to herself, more restrained. With horses she was more calm and at ease and free.

James brought Zeus to a stop and allowed his feet to slip out of the stirrups so the could hang. He rested the reins against Zeus's neck and I relaxed in my saddle as I watched.

Eliza continued around the barrels and moved faster, Hades moving as if he knew her thoughts. Her eyes were lit with a fire, a peace and a joy all at once. The fire being from how well her and Hades could do, the peace because riding brought her peace, and the joy for the same reason as peace.

Luna: I tidied up my stuff, stashing everything back in my very large tack trunk neatly. Well, at least id talked to one person here.... that was good, i supposed.

Drake walked back out of the track room. "Would you like me to give you a tour of the school? I can even tell you the name of all the regular horses here."

James staid on Zeus, watching her with interest. He'd seen barrel racers before, but she wasn't half bad.

Eliza and Hades continued, picking up speed. They were in-tune to each other and the rest of the world didn't exist. It was just Eliza, Hades, and the barrels. They easily moved around the barrels until they finally slowed and came to a halt. Eliza patted Hades neck. "Good boy Hades," she said softly.

Luna: I straightened, closing my tack trunk. "That would be really useful, if you wouldnt mind." i said. "Im Luna, by the way. What's your name?" i asked, figuring it made sense to learn teh name of the only person here id talked to.

James stayed quite as he squeezes with his legs moving Zeus forward he got at the beganing of the pattern and him and Zeus took off like a shot. Zeus followed where he moved him and leaned into the barrels as what he was suppose to. They reached the last barrel and shot off back towards the beginning and did a sliding stop, where Zeus's back legs dug in the ground and they slid. He then turned and rode past her. "That's fun." He grinned.

Drake smiled. "The name's Drake." He walked out the barn door and towards the building.

aahhh ok how can i jump in?

Luna: "Nice to meet you." i said, following him out of the barn and paying close attention to where i was going. It wouldnt do to get lost later.

Eliza grinned and chuckled. "Yeah, it is. But you shouldn't stop all of a sudden, you should slow down and ease into it. Same way with starting. You ease into it." Her eyes were bright with amusement as she watched James.

James laughed and patted Zeus's neck. "There's no easing into anything with him."

Drake lead them into the main building where all the dorms were. He showed her around and introduced her to a few instructors.

(I don't know...hmm....I'll make another charrie unless anyone else wants to.)

(I can make an extra character if necessary *shrugs*)

Luna: I paid careful attention to everything i was shown, remembering names and faces, places and how to get to them. I was pretty good at figuring out new places. It was a skill that often came in handy.

(I dont want to be a burden...)

Eliza chuckled again and rode up next to James. She watched him and Zeus with a smile. "I see. So, what kind of riding do the you do James?" Her eyes sparked with curiosity as she waited for an answer.
