~Sorcery 2~

Tori couldn't tell whether she was being honest or lying, but she smiled and nodded her head. "We probably could, if we worked together."

"Yes. If we worked together. Which we can. If you want." I told her. I looked over the room. Maybe if we all worked together...but, would they want to?

Tori smiled. "Yeah. Working together is better than working alone. The odds are better that way."

"Yeah...what are you? Like, what can you do? It might help if we knew each others powers...." I said, also wondering what everyone else in this room could do. I had seen a few powers...but not everyones. They seemed to have either lost hope or were afraid to use them. And we were going to have to fix that.

Tori had never told anyone what she was. The only people who knew was her family, but they ended up dead. "I'm actually a...dragon. Well, tecnically a half-dragon."

Christina
"Wow...i've never seen a dragon, or half-dragon for that matter." I smiled, "It looks like we can both fly then! I'm an angel." I said, smiling. She was a dragon...that was so cool!

Tori smiled. "And I've never met an angel before," she replied with a small laugh. "I'm guessing the healing is another thing you can do, huh?"

Christina
"Yeah, that's one of my powers. The only time I can use it is if someone's in trouble or hurt. So it comes in handy sometimes." I looked down at my hands which were glowing a shimmery white.

Tori looked at the girl's hands with amazement. "Wow, that's pretty cool. The most I can do is shift to my dragon form and breath fire."

Christina
My eyes widened, "Fire?? Thats so cool! I can only breath...air. And i'm pretty sure that all the humans can do that." I laughed and stretched my back. My wings were getting cramped, always being hidden on my back.

Tori laughed a little. "Yeah, it's come in handy on the streets. Especially during winter."

I nodded, "It must! Being able to keep warm all the time! I wonder what month it is..." I thought. Sometime in the beginning of the year, or the end? Probably winter...or was i getting confused? I sighed. I didnt even know what time of year it was!

"Yeah, I was wondering the same thing," Tori replied. "But there's always one way to find out."

Crystal remained curled up on the cot for a long time, just watching and listening to the others. After awhile she managed to make the rain stop, the clouds slowly leaving the room. Sighing slightly she tucked her head into her knees and quit looking at anything really, letting her stark white hair fall over her shoulders and cover her legs. She'd given up a long time ago on the idea of escape. Now she just tried to live.

Kaden had passed out from exhaustion and the pain in her thighs. She came to every once in a while, only to lack out again. She really couldn't remember much of what happened after Drake left and the guard came in. But that was probably better, for she didn't want to know. Kaden finally came to, blinked a few times and looked around, her vision still clouded over.

Tori began to think back to that girl in the torture room. I wonder if she's all right.

Syren: People were being tortured already today. Lovely. I felt sick when victims came back, and was utterly terrified the the next person taken away would be me.


Ash: I moved from the corner of my cell, standing and pacing the enclosed space like a caged tiger. My fangs were aching. I needed blood, and it was mkaing me more restless than usual. I played with one of my piercings absently as i did when nervous, thoughtful, or bored. In this case, a bit of a mix of the three.

Tori looked at the girl, realizing she had never introduced herself. "I'm sorry, I forgot to tell you my name. I'm Tori," she said.

"Oh, right! Introductions! Forgot about those! Nice to meet you Tori, i'm Christina." I said smiling and shaking her hand. This was the first time i had heard my name coming out of my mouth in months!

Tori smiled. "Christina," she echoed. "That's a very nice name. I like it."

"Thank you." I said, "I like yours too, is it short for anything?"

Tori nodded. "It's short for Victoria," she answered. "After my grandmother. She was amazing to be around."

"Wow..what's it like to have a grandmother? And family?" I asked, I didn't have a family of my own. It always seemed so amazing to have one. But what is it like? Maybe she would know...
