Kai: I was too tired to really keep up and ended up stopping halfway. After a little break, I followed her down to the river and gulped eagerly at the water like a dog, not caring if it was clean or not.

Chrissa slowly stepped into the water with her bare feet and let the cool water run over the scars. It felt so good to have the water there. She then bent down and dipped her hands in the water.

Kai: I finally fell back on the grass, panting for a second. Man, water never tasted so good before.

Chrissa shrugged. "I wouldn't think it'd matter," she replied. She grinned and splashed a little water on him.

Kai: "You splashed it at me first!" I pointed out, sending more water her way.

Kai: I grinned, glad she finally actually seemed happy. I almost wanted to swim in the pool but thought better of it.
