I'm Falling for my Best Friend

Salina smiled and began to walk toward the sidewalk happily, as if she had forgotten about what happened at the pool earlier. Her dream was what kept her happy. That and the possibility that she may actually like Nash.

Nash: I wondered what we should talk about as we walked. For some reason, though, even though we weren't talking, it didn't feel awkward. It would be nice to say something, though. But I didn't say anything since every conversation I could think of was extremely stupid.

Salina began to finger the ends of the shirt's sleeves. She could imagine Nash wearing it...Why am I thinking this? When did this all happen?

Nash: She was playing with the shirt sleeve. What was that supposed to mean? More than ever, I wished I could read her mind. She was always fascinating, but somehow, she was even more so now.

Salina looked at Nash and smiled. "You're being pretty quiet now," she said with a grin. "Something on your mind?"

Nash: I glanced over at her. "Hm?" I shrugged. "Dunno. Just walking. That's all I'm really thinking about. What about you?"

Salina glanced down at her feet, watching them move along the sidewalk. "Nothing much," she said, though she had a lot going through her mind.

Nash: I chuckled. "Are you lying to me?" I asked. I thought I knew her well enough by now to tell if she was or not.

Salina looked at him and smirked. "What would you do if I were lying to you?" she asked with a small laugh.

Nash: I smirked. "Do you really want to know?" I definitely had something good to do if she was.

Salina thought for a moment. "Probably not quite yet." She really enjoyed playing these mind games with Nash. She found them amusing.

Nash: "Tell me," I said. "Or I'll have to launch my evil plan anyway."

Salina laughed. "What if I don't want to?"
At least, not yet anyway.

Nash: I wrapped my arms around her, pulled her close, and started tickling her. "I'm going to be the tickle monster!" I exclaimed, remembering when we used to do this as kids.

Salina began to squeal and laugh as she tried to break out of Nash's arms. "No! Stop!" she exclaimed between laughs.

(I love them, they're cute!)

Nash: "Never! Not until you tell me!" I yelled back, continuing to tickle her, grinning as she squirmed in my arms. Man, she felt so good against me...

(yeah, me too. They are cute! XD)
Sarina kept laughing, still trying to pry away his arms. "All right fine! I'll tell you," she finally said.

Nash: I stopped tickling her, but still trapped her in my arms. "Alright." I leaned down to look at her. "What is it?"

Salina looked up at him and smiled. "I was thinking about you." She was really sure now that she liked him. She liked being so close to him.

Nash: Me? She was doing all that thinking about me? "What are you saying, Sal?" Did she like me? Because I was kind of starting to think I liked her too.

What am I saying? Salina looked down. "I don't know, I guess...I...like you," she said softly.

Nash: I chuckled. "You guess you like me? I'm not going to ask a girl out if she only thinks she likes me. That means she might say no," I said, winking at her, running a hand through her hair.

Salina looked up at him. Does that mean he feels the same way? "What do you mean by that?" she asked. She loved the feeling of him brushing her hair.

Nash: I grinned at her. "You know, for a while, I've wondered what it would be like if we were more than friends."

Sammy sighed and looked at Jasmine. "Fine. We could go someplace for lunch and maybe see if there's any good movies playing. Sound good to you, Jas?"
