Kidnapped

Aiden: "I wouldn't be asking if I wasn't sure." I smiled, stroking her cheek.

Tara: "Then...okay, I'll come," I smiled and wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him.

Aiden: I kissed her back, wrapping my arms around her waist. See? you do love me.

Tara: "I love you more than anything," I smiled and pulled back from the kiss before I did something stupid, caught up in the moment. "We should keep walking, though. Or else nobody's going to California."

Aiden: I smiled. Yes! Finally! "Yeah. We should, you know, keep walking. Good idea."

Tara: I laughed, and took his hand as we walked. "So what's California like? I've always wanted to go there."

Aiden: "Well, it has a lot of beaches. Good waves for surfing. LA, San Fran, San Diego, lots of big cities. It's just great. There's lots of girls, but none of them can beat you in the look department. And the brain. Pretty much in everything." I grinned.

Tara: Awwwwwww, I had to keep myself from saying that out loud. "What city do you live in?"

Aiden: "Perdido Beach." I said. "Virtually unheard of. Great waves." I grinned, but in the back of my head, i felt a little homesick.

Rose: I had completed my first doll. I held it up. It looked like crap. I tossed it into the fire, disgusted, and picked up another bundle to try again.

((Rose is funny xD. Can we make them find a city? Like, now. hehe. I'm impatient))

(Well, she's bored. And crippled. so she's making stick dolls. does a road work?)

Aiden: I heard cars. That had to mean a road. And a road usually meant there was civilization somewhere nearby. "Tara, I hear cars." I grinned, and ran through the trees to the black pavement. Nothing had ever looked so welcoming. Not since the kidnapping.

Tara: I smiled as we reached the road, and bounced on the balls of my feet. "This means we're close! Looks like the cars are coming from that direction," I pointed ahead of us, "So we should go that way - come on," I began walking that way, wanting to run but knowing that might look kind of stupid.

Aiden: I followed after Tara. We must have looked ridiculous, with torn clothes and kind of dirty. I missed showers. We walked for ages, til eventually we stumbled upon a downtown area. There was a diner nearby. I took Tara's hand and led her inside. The news was on a crappy TV. They were discussing our kidnappings. Then all four of our faces, Tara's, Autumn's, Rose's, and mine, appeared on the screen, with the newscasters telling the world to call the cops if we're found. Should we announce our presence and have a swarm of people surround us? Or keep it low key and find a phone? I thought to Tara.

Tara: "Don't be stupid, we'll find a phone," I rolled my eyes and spotted a pay phone. I had a quarter sewn into every pair of pants I owned, a precaution in case I had ever been able to escape my father. I tore this pair's quarter out of my pocket.

((who are they calling? the cops, right?))

Aiden: I walked over to the pay phone in the corner. There was a sign taped to the wall announcing the diner's name as Lou's. How unoriginal. "Tell them that we're the kidnap victim's, we escaped, two of us are at Lou's diner, and tell them a third is hurt in a cave in the woods." I muttered quietly as she dialed.

Tara: I nodded and relayed that information to the person who answered. They sounded pretty disbelieving, but would send a cop out to talk to us. I put the pay phone back on it's cradle and turned back to Aiden. "Someone's going to come by within a few minutes," I bit my lip nervously. I was worried about Rose still, alone in the cave. I realized Aiden still didn't have a shirt on, and laughed. "Looking as disheveled as we are will either make or break our case, come on." I walked back outside to wait for the police car.
