A Midnight Swim

Jace nodded and stood. "Come with me." He chuckled and held out his hand. "You will love this place!"

Kami grabbed his hand and followed him down the beach to the place he was taking her. She was curious about this place was it anything like the resturants at home or was it way different.

Jace lead her to a little shack that had a flashing sign. He let her go in first and he smiled. He saw some of his friends who called him over and he lead her to the table.

Kami got shy again once she was in front of his friends. She wasn't great with a lot of people.

Jace smiled at her and his friends chuckled. "Another girl?" One of them said and he chuckled. Jace hit him. "Shut up Mark."

Kami was starting to feel really uncomfortable. I was starting to rethink my desion why did I come with a guy I didn't even know his name. Well you wanted to try something different a little voice tolds me. Well this certainly was different.

Jace looked at Kami and wrapped his arm around her slim waist. "Your beautful." He whispered in her ear. He kissed her cheek and pulled her close to him.

Kami blushed she wasn't used to guys saying things like that to her. It helped though I gelt a little more confident. I sat down with him and his friends.

Mark smiled at them. "You two are cute! Better then you and that other girl." Jace shook his head. "DOnt bring up Alice to me please." Mark shrugged and said "She is long gone by now."

Kami stiffened a little at the mention of another girl. Please not let her have competion she really didn't feel like fighting over a guy with a girl. Kami for the second time began to question whether she made the right decision. "Whos Alice?"

Jace looked at her and groaned. "My ex... it wa a nasty break up..." He said. Mark nodded and said "And also my sister but hey she was a slut.."

Kami winced that was a bit harsh. She wondered how nasty the break up was. "So what is good here?" She wanted to change the subject.

Jace chuckled. "THe wings are the bomb." Mark laughed and ordered 50 wings. Jace settled leaning against the seat.

Kami smiled and turned to look around the busy room. This place didn't remind he of any of the resturants back at home. Thought the place was quiet and quaint almost well except for the people it was quiet.

Jace sighed and then the wings came. "Can we get 2 pitchers of beer please?" The waitress went off and broughtthe pitchers and left. Jace took on of them and poured some for him and her.

Kami stared at the beer," Umm I don't drink." She pushed away the beer and grabbed a wing and took a but out of it.

JAce nodded and took a sip. "Why do you not drink?" He asked closing his eyes.

Kami didn't want to go inot the long story about so she told him the short version. "My friend got kill because of someone who was drunk." She hoped he wouldn't ask for the full story they didn't each other well enough for her to tell him it anyway.

Jace nodded and poured the beer back. "I will not drink..." He said with a smile at her. He kissed her cheek.

Kami smiled at him, he is so sweet. She kissed him back on the cheek not really having much courage to kiss him on the lips. "Thank you."

Jace smiled. "Anytime love... do you want to leave?" He asked looking at her.

Kami nodded she felt rude for saying so but it was the truth being around his friends made everything ten time more awkward. She looked him in the eyes, "We could stay if you wanted to hang out with your friends?"

Jace shook his head. "Nah I want to leave." He slid out of the booth and said goodnight to his friends. He lead her down to the beach and wrapped his arm around her waist. "What did you think?"

Kami thought awkward but said, "Your friends seem nice." Kami didn't know what toi think her mind was focused on his arm around her waist.

Bryce: Kept working his shift waiting tables. He would glance over at Aurora every now and then to see if she was alright and if she was still there. He worried that she wouldn't do anything once he was gone.

Jace chuckled and shrugged. "They are okay I guess.... not the best bunch but hey i have friends." He said with a small awkward chuckled.

Holden excused herself from the table and sat down by herself. SHe needed space from idiots but she felt bad leaving Rose. But Rose was talking to Sam and Nick she would be fine.
