I let out a bark of enjoyment and slowed, letting her catch up. It was obvious she wasn't used to this.

Ambrosia - "It connects me to him, he know where I am at all times, how I feel, and if I'm with people or alone. I've tried to take it off a million times, but it won't unclasp, and I can't destroy it with anything I have," I sigh.

Lawrence
I stop dancing and raise an eyebrow. "And if he dies?"

Ambrosia - "I don't know," I shrug, "I've never asked."

Lawrence
I nod with a frown. "What do you think might happen?"

Nox: I inhaled sharply and took the lead, my powerful legs making long strides.

I growl out a laugh and tackle her easily seeking play.

Nox: I rolled and yipped, an almost human smile on my face. Being a wolf was like walking for the first time.

I growl playfully to get her back up. 'I see how unused you are to this life,' i tease.

"Is it?" Lawrence thinks a moment as he leads her through the park again. "Is there no more happiness in the world for you then?"

Ambrosia - "I doubt there is any happiness at all anymore," I admit. "This world is too screwed up."

"I believe it's still out there, it's just harder to find." Lawrence led her back through the city to time square, where the aero-electric powered Macy's sign is still lit as its turbines turn.

Ambrosia - "Why do you believe that it's there?" I ask him. Who could still have hope?

"Happiness is just...funny like that." He pauses and thinks. "You call the trees beautiful even if they're dead. Some see the moon as their sun. And you don't need the sun to give that light at the end of the tunnel." He looks up at the sign.

Wyatt nods slowly, still seeming as if he were another person entirely. He looks her over. "Are you hurt?"

I shake my head again. "I'm fine, I promise."

He nodded. "You would tell me? If you weren't...?"

Tal
"I would," I tell him. "I promise. And you? Are you okay?"

Wyatt nods. "Fine."

Mel
I pause. "You don't need to worry about hurting us, Wyatt."
Tal
I look over to her and nod slowly.

He looks at her, blank. "I know that."

Tal
I look back into his still yellow eyes. I sit up on the couch, turn, and take his wrists. I gently pull his hands to me. "Mel..."
Mel
I nod. "Alright." I go away and to the kitchen. From the drawer i bring bandages and go back to the living room. I take care of one of his hands and Tal the other. "There." I smile to him though his eyes sort of haunt me. I've seen too many of those eyes. I don't see how Tal does it.
