sterling:" i'm not sure i want to make blake pay for sure"

Shannon: I half-smiled just in agreement, "Definitely priority number one." I was going to make sure that Blake was going to end up dead, no matter what.

sterling:" do you want to see your father?"

Shannon: I sighed, "Well, yes, but I'm thinking Blake might..." '...find out where my dad is, and finish the job.' I implied silently.

sterling:" then what should we do "

Shannon: "Y'know what? Screw it. I'm going to see him. I'm not going to let Blake have any control in my life whatsoever."

sterling:" then lets go shannon"

Shannon: "All right." I said as I stood up, bringing Sterling with me, my hand in his. I wasn't too enthused with going, but I knew I would regret it if my dad...passed away, and I wasn't there.

sterling: i kept her hand tightly in mine as i follow shannon

Shannon: I was internally thankful for him just being there as we went to the hospital. I mentally cringed as we made our way to the ICU. I glanced at Sterling as if to ask, 'You want to come with?'

sterling: i nodded yes to shannon i wanted to be there for her

Shannon: I was even more grateful, and then asked one of the nurses what room my father was in, and she promptly answered. Room 216. I headed over there with Sterling, but was a little hesitant as I stepped through the threshold. My father laid on a hospital bed, with wires, tubes, and such going every which way from him. He looked so frail, not like the big, burly man he was the last time I saw him. I hadn't seen him, or my mother in months, and I was worried that he'd be mad that I decided to show up now. I went to his bedside, and held his hand softly.
"Hey, Dad." I greeted him just as gently as my grip on his weak hand. He greeted me back in a quiet, hoarse voice that surprised, and scared me.

sterling: i stay a bit back so shannon and her dad could have some space

Shannon: "How've you been?" I asked, and immediately regretted it. "They've been treating you well enough, right?" My father smiled weakly, but couldn't speak, or couldn't find the words he wanted to say.
"Shannon...I love you very much, and I always will." He whispered after a moment. He was going to die...and both he, and I knew it. I felt tears form, but I stopped them from spilling.

sterling: even a tear from me escape from my eyes

Shannon: I was speechless, and confused. "No, don't start saying things like that..." I muttered, shaking my head. "You're not going-"
"Honey." He cut in softly using the same tone of voice. "Everything's going to be all right, even when I'm not around." I knew he silently implied, 'And I'll be with your mother.' He squeezed my hand meekly, and I could feel his hand go limp. He was slipping away, and I couldn't do anything. If I brought him back...he'd just be lonely without my mother. I wouldn't do that to him.

sterling: i when closer to shannon and i look at her

Shannon: My father whispered a couple words that I didn't understand, and he closed his blue eyes. I couldn't help the sullen expression on my face after my father passed away, his ghost rising out of his body as the line on the electrocardiogram went flat, and the high-pitched, continous noise rang throughout the room. I shut the monitor off, and closed my eyes, trying to keep my composure as I took my hand away from my father's.

sterling: i warp my arms around her and i didn't let her go

Shannon: I felt myself shaking, and I honestly wasn't sure whether to cry, or punch something or someone. I didn't open my eyes. I was afraid to.

sterling: i hold her tighter as she shaked

Shannon: I held onto Sterling almost desperately. I just wanted the pain to go away somehow. I bit my lower lip as I finally cried, letting my emotions out without any shame. Blake was certainly going to pay. No doubt about that.

sterling: i whisper in her ear " i'm here for you "

Shannon: I was worried I wouldn't be able to stop crying as the doctors--or whoever, I didn't see who--kindly ushered us out of the room. I did my best to control myself, then I looked up at Sterling, not sure what to say. He never even got to know my parents. I thought sadly.

sterling: i look back at sterling i wasn't not sure what to say either like shannon
