C. D. - character development

Dylan: For some reason, I was finding it hard to wrap my head around this. "So...you can feel the ghost?" I asked.

"Why does he haunt you if you were friends?" I ask, honestly curious.

"It's my fault." I sigh. "I really don't want to say much.."

"That's alright, you don't have to. I will commence being endlessly curious now."

"Sorry.." I mutter, feeling guilty.

"Don't be. It's your business, not mine."

"Thanks." I say, feeling slighyly less awkward. At this moment, I wonder how Kristen and Rachel are - Julian's ghost won't be haunting them. It isn't their fault. Or at least, they haven't been blamed for it.

Dylan: This all mystified me. What kind of house had I walked in to?

I glanced out of the window.

Feyla: "As a matter of security, I reckon you should tell us. Any threat in here is a threat to us all."

((Also, I just found out that Feyla's pike is actually a glaive.))

Amber: I sigh, but I realize I had to tell them.
"My best friend Julian.." I begin. "...died a while after I moved away. And now his ghost haunts me."
As I tell them this, part of me wishes I didn't.

Feyla: "And you want him to stop, yes?" I shift my glaive, twisting it slightly in my grasp.

"W-well.." I stammer. "This isn't what my friend is like...I don't want him gone.."

Dylan: "But his ghost is bothering you? Wouldn't you want him put to rest?" I said. I thought I was making a point...

"I suppose." I say.

Dylan: "Then I would listen to Feyla...Though I don't know how much experience she has dealing with ghosts." Then I realized Amber didn't know that Feyla and Nike were aliens.

"He needs to move on to the Center of the Planar Universe," I state matter-of-factly. "It's where all life goes when it dies to become new life somewhere else."

"Yeah, but how?"

Dylan: This time I stood up and made a circle around the room as I said, "Whoa, whoa, whoa. Wait a minute. There's no Heaven?" I stopped when I was in front of Feyla and held my hands out in confusion. "Seriously?"

"No Heaven, just the Center. But hey, on the bright side, there's no Hell."

Dylan: I stood there stunned for a moment, then said, "Well, then, YES! Once less thing to worry about!"

I laugh.
"Yeah, there's that."

Dylan: I laughed too and went back to my chair and sat down.

I stand, feeling shocked and confused.

Dylan: "Um, yeah, Amber," it didn't seem like Feyla and Nike were going to let her in on the secret any time soon, so I figured I would releave her mind, "Feyla and Nike are aliens."
