((Okay, so the OP doesn't come on anymore, but I think it would be fine for you to join. We haven't really done much, and new people keep popping up all the time, so it isn't too late or anything. I think we're actually beginning to get into some action, so now would be a perfect time to jump in! ))

"If he decides to rear his head in here," Peter started, "we can take him."
"Can't be worse than a Sybek," I said with a shrug.

Extra info: She commits suicide in her book.

Penny: I walked over to a group of people, not sure what we were doing.

((It's not like we're just a random group of people (well, I mean, okay, we are). We're not idling in front of a store or anything. We're all in a living room of a house not one of us owns. The door opens directly into the living room...or it did, before it got busted in. Also, it's raining outside.))

(Oh yeah.)

Penny: I was soaking wet and ran into a house for some shelter.

(To Jelsa: No, I don't think it's too late.)

"Whose she?" said Evan. Pointing to the unnoticed newcommer in our mits.

"Wow people just seem to be coming and comming..." said Cassie.

Penny: "Hi," I said to the people that I'd just discovered.

"Hi?" said Evan, who was slightly confused. "Who are you?"

"Hi," said Cassie, who had finally looked up from her journal.

Penny: "I'm Penny," I said. "It was raining and I didn't want to get wet, so I came inside."

"That kinda happened to all of us." said Evan. "I'm Evan and this is Cassie."

Penny: I nodded. "Hi," I said. "What are we doing?"

"Waiting till the rain stops I guess," said Evan.

Penny: "Are you guys just sitting, though? That's boring."

(By the way, this is more of a paragraph style chat. So if you could lengthen your posts that would be nice. Thanks. And I'm changing to third person.)

Dylan looked Penny over. She looked normal. Well, so did everyone else, but they were from different universes and such. And to make things weirder, it was now settling on his brain that Nike and all them weren't necessarily aliens. Dylan said to Penny, "Hi, I'm Dylan. Come sit if you want." He tried a friendly smile, and hoped it came out right rather then goofy.

(oh, sorry.)

Penny: I turned to Dylan and smiled too. "Hi," I said, not sure what else I could say. He had a cute smile. "Um, yeah. Thanks for offering me a seat," I said, sitting down on a couch. Now what?

Cassie scooted over to make room for Penny. She ducked back behind her journal. It wasn't as if she was anti-social...she was shy and kept to herself. When she met Evan, she changed...

Dylan smiled even wider. He was glad that she had taken up his offer. "You're welcome," he said. "So...are you normal? I mean, like a normal person?" Now he was hoping she didn't think he was crazy for asking stupid questions.

Penny: I was getting bored, so I tapped my feet on the floor to at least have something to do. Still, though, I wished the rain would stop already so I could go home. I really hated rain. It made me depressed for some reason. When Dylan asked me the question, I frowned. "What do you mean?" I asked, confused.

Cassie looked at Dylan wih a questioning look. "Normal" neither she nor Evan had been asked that question. Did she seem not normal?

Dylan sighed and said, "Well, all the rest of these people aren't really normal humans. I'll let them explain to you. But...you both are just normal humans? You get up in the morning, go to school, go home, do homework?"

"Pretty much...I didn't say that out loud! How..h..how did you?!" said Cassie.

"Heh..." Peter laughed without humor. "Normal. Oh, I'm Peter, by the way."
"I'm Nike," I said.
"I'll just come right out with it," Peter continued. "We're called bonders. We're completely human, but we've awakened some...dormant abilities. We can see and communicate with souls, speak telepathically through souls, shift through the countless universes, project fields of energy to keep people from shifting through the countless universes, and control elements and energy. I can control fire, and, to a lesser extent, wind."
"I can control earth, and, to a lesser extent, water."
"We can also switch places with our souls. They get new human bodies contructed from the molecules that make up our own bodies, and we take soul forms. Switching places is all done by the soul, though, and it takes a lot of concentration."
"We really only use that ability if we get seriously injured, so we can preserve our own bodies until we can get medical attention. Switching places isn't something the soul can keep up for too long, though." I looked to Peter. "Is that everything?"
"I think so," he answered.
