Lucien: I frown as my eyes catch a glimpse of the clock. I think of my brothers sitting down in the basement as people start lining up, all of them wearing masquerade masks and their finest jewelry. So that was why mother took me with her, huh? I almost forgot.

Isadora: I wonder outside for a moment, wondering where Ella went. Suddenly, a carriage stops just in front of me. The driver opens the door, and sitting inside is an elaborately dressed woman wearing a mask. "Care to join us, dear?" Before I can answer, the driver shoves me inside.

Haji: I grab that clothes I kept tucked away from my mother and sister's eyes and head outside to the hearse. That's when I remember that I was supposed to check in on the gravediggers today. What to do, what to do... "Hey, Robin!" I call as I head to the graveyard across the street. Nothing. After walking around, I decide that if he isn't there, I probably shouldn't worry about it.

A carriage stops near the allyway and a voice calls out. "Why hullo there, children!" says the voice. "Are you all in need of a ride?"

"Hopefully not, they should be working," Antony replied. "Why?"
