Yet Another Victorian Chat!

"Hey!" Ella squirmed, but the guy had a grip on her shirt like an alchoholic to a beer bottle. She couldn't break free. "What're you--let go!" She spun around, trying to tug his hand away.

(Are you going to respond to Lucien?)

The man rolls his eyes and leans down to whisper to her. "Calm down, you're making a scene. Who do you think these people will help- a poor looking young girl or a rich man who could easily say she stole something of his?"

? I thought I did. Maybe I missed a reply...

Ella snarled at him and yelled at the top of her lungs, "KIDNAP!! HELP! A CREEPY GUY WON'T LET ME GO!!!"

(Oh shizz, I see it. Sorry! >.>)

Lucien: "And would you say you have a lot?" I ask as though it were such a common question. "After all, you seem quite rich."

The man sighs and heaves her over his shoulder before heading back to the carriage. "Children these days," he sighs when he catches a woman's eye. "Please forgive me god child. She has always been the rebellious one."

"LIAR!" Ella pounded her fists against his back. "I'm not your kid!"

Antony eyed her. "Why do you want to know?"

"Of course not," says the man. "You're my best friend's. Now please stop acting this way. We really do have places to go, and your mum is worried sick!" I force her into the carriage without another word and get in before she can run out.

Lucien: I grin. "No reason, I was just prying. But would you mind amusing me?"

"But--" then the carriage door slammed shut. Ella glared at the man. "You're despicable."

Antony cocked an eyebrow. "You don't like the concept of manners much, do you?"

Lucien: Ugh, still bit answering the question! I stick out my tongue and pull out a promising looking book and dropping it into my purse. "I abhor them," I say frankly. "I can fake it when I must, but why should I hide how I'm feeling just because it makes another happy? I'm not one for keeping a company that barely knows what I'm really like."

The man leans back and puts his hands behind his head. "You haven't met dispicable yet, my dear."

(Ugh, stupid Antony and his thick shell. He has a fun side, it's just hard to find...so right now he's boring )

Antony cocked his head. "True, but will anyone have any interest in getting to know you if you're rude right away?"

"What do you want with me, anyway?" Ella cocked an eyebrow.

Lucien: "Well then when I'm in the mood to make friends, I'll keep that in mind," I say as I take another sip of wine. "But as that isn't the case at the moment and I am much too busy, would you mind lending me a servant to escort me home?" That was mostly true anyway.

"Its better if you don't ask," says the man. "It gives me a better chance at sleeping tonight too."

Ella frowned and studied him. "Why are you doing this?"

Well, if it would get her out of his house..."Very well," he said, and glanced at her purse. "I'll be needing the book back, however."

Lucien: I nod and smile. "But of course my good, dear friend. I'll give it back right after I read it. Oh! And make sure the servant is attractive. Or at least sturdy or interesting. A little kid would do as well, but then I'd feel guilty."

Kay, I will...wanted another charrie, anyway. Antony would probably send a guy since the servant's supposed to escort her...or would a girl work better? Idk

Antony's expression hardened. "What exactly are you planning, Miss Lucien?"

(Whichever is fine. He probably would send a guy though, but it's your charrie.)

Lucien: I blink innocently. "I'm just saying that if I get mugged, I'd rather not have a child with me. Is that so horrid?"

Appearence: sleek black hair, auburn eyes, boyish smile, slender but strong.
Bio: he used to live with his uncle, which was about the same as being a kid off the streets. He decided to "better himself" and get a paying job...and that's how he met Antony.

Antony watched her suspiciously, but reluctantly called a servant.

"Yes sir," Chance appeared in the doorway soon after.

Antony eyes Lucien again. "This young lady needs an escort home."

Chance's eyes flashed to the girl, and he nodded respectfully. "My pleasure."

Lucien: I nod. He would do, although Alexander and Thomas won't be too pleased. Guess I'll have to find a disguise then. "Great, you've been a great help." I start walking towards the door before turning around. "Oh, and I need not tell you that my mother will hear no word of this."

Antony couldn't promise that, so he just waved her away.

Chance glanced at her questioningly as they started out the door. "Word of--" but then he remembered that he wasn't supposed to be so outspoken. Oops.

(Sorry, I completely forgot! I'll try not to make things too eventful while she's gone.)

The man sighs. "Just enjoy the ride, alright?" he says quietly. "I can promise you that I won't lay a hand on you."

Lucien: "Yes?" I ask as we walk down the hallway. "What is it?"

"Well, it's none of my buisiness." Chance said bluntly, but then curiosity got the best of him. "Word of what?"

Ella: "Liar," she muttered, and looked away. How could she trust him?

Lucien: "Oh, that I left her alone at the Blackwells," I say. "She did bring me with her, butbI've decided it's time for me to go home. I got what I came for." I take the book out of my purse and wink.
